Story
Meet Agnes! Agnes is the cutest little ball of energy and love! She’s loved everyone she’s met and is always ready to make a new friend. She can be a little jumpy when she’s excited, so she’ll need some continued manners practice—but remember, she’s still just a puppy! Agnes is ready to be your sidekick for whatever adventure you choose. - 11 months old (estimated), 20 lbs - Social butterfly and energetic gal - Enjoys playing and toys - Knows “sit” and takes treats nicely - Loves walks and does well on a harness - Previously lived with a senior dog but was returned because she was too much for her older canine companion. She met a large, energetic dog here and did well! They were unable to play together because the other dog is recovering from surgery. - Unknown history with cats - Unknown history with children; we recommend children 8+ due to her need for continued manners work - Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped -Agnes’ adoption fee is $210 including tax. Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Interested in meeting this dog? Story
Duke is a goofy, lovable, affectionate boy. He will sit in your lap if you let him! He just loves being by people and being a part of what ever is going on. Duke needs some time to get comfortable with people but once you're in the "Duke club" you're a friend for life! Because of his initial stranger anxiety we think he would love a quiet home without a lot of people coming and going. Staff at OAHS will teach any adopter how to do a slow introduction with new people in Duke's life so everyone is comfortable. More about sweet Duke: - 3 years old, 70 pounds - Very treat motivated and willing to learn. -Suggested for children age teen years and up due to his size and energy level -Would do best in a structured, quiet home. - Smart boy! He already knows sit, down and shake and does well with corrections. -Duke was most likely not socialized with dogs in his puppyhood and therefore is unsure and nervous around them. He should be the only dog in the home and any dog introductions outside the home should be done slowly with professional assistance. -Not suggested for home with cats due to focus and chasing cat in last home -Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Interested in meeting this dog? The first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website at: https://www.oahs.org/dog-adoption-process/ . Questions? Story
Frannie is a compact cutie looking for her new family! This girl is about 2 years old and is all about the FUN. Toys, games, walks, runs, you name it, she's up for it. We think she'd love agility or maybe scent work - anything that keeps her brain and body busy. Frannie can be cautious and leery of new people so a home without a lot of people coming and going would be ideal for her. Frannie would do best with a confident and patient person who is able to help her thrive. She is an amazing, sweet girl and is well worth it. More about Frannie: - 2 years old (estimated); 43 pounds - Active and playful but also snuggly once she gets comfortable -Frannie is dog social but may be best as the only dog in the home because of how intense and pushy she can be with other dogs. She would be best as a 'playmate' not a 'roomate' and needs to have supervised playtime - Not suggested for a home with cats. She will chase - Suggested for children around teenage and up due to exuberance, active playstyle, excitable jumping, initial caution with new people. - Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Interested in meeting this dog? The first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website at: https://www.oahs.org/dog-adoption-process/ . Questions? E-mail dog@oahs.org or call (920) 424-2128 ext 108.

Story
Flash is a sweet, timid boy who came in with his brother, Chocolate. They both came from a home with a lot of other dogs and they haven't seem to have had much socialization with people and places, so they are very timid and cautious with new people at first. But given time and patience their personality really comes out! Flash is the more quiet of the two! He just likes to be by his favorite people and get pets and attention. He also enjoys the occasional morsel of tasty treats. Flash would do best with somebody who is home a lot and would have the time and patience he needs to acclimate comfortably into a new home. Because Flash is so nervous with new people, he may require multiple meets prior to adoption. More about Flash: More about Flash: - 5 years old, 19 pounds - Sweet and friendly once he gets comfortable but will be timid and cautious with new people at first (may require more than one meet with new people to get comfortable) He loves to play & snuggle in bed. Very affectionate & loyal to his person - Enjoys pets, attention and treats. - Best suited for a quiet home without a lot of people coming and going - Suggested for homes with adults only or children in their teen years - Lived with other dogs in previous home. May get overwhelmed by overly playful dog - seems like a peaceful co-exister -Not suitable for apartment complexes or multi-unit housing as he will sometimes bark excessively when left alone - Neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible.
