Story

Hank is an AKC registered, purebred chocolate labrador. He is 3 years old, fully house-trained and also crate trained. He knows most basic commands such as sit, stay, come, down, get it, leave it, wait and shake. Hank would make an amazing hunting dog. He is not gun shy and his retrieving skills are phenomenal. He LOVES to play fetch, but he also enjoys a good snuggle on the couch with an adult companion. Hank is not good with children and is okay with some dogs. We have to rehome Hank because of a bite incident involving one of our children. We would love to help him find a furever home. He truly is an amazing dog-just not great for our family at this time.

We adopted Ruby in April of 2023. A family friend had to get rid of her due to a busy household and work schedule. She was about 6 months old when we adopted her and is now about a year and half. She is a very, very sweet dog and loves people, including children, whom she is quite gentle with. She is half lab, half pit. She loves long walks, chew toys and napping with her pet family. She is a very affectionate dog and loves being petted and cuddling. We had her fixed last May, and she is in excellent health. We want to keep her, but our HOA started to crack down on the number of pets home owners can have. We have another dog that is older and in declining health and we wouldn't feel right trying to find a home for her. We love Ruby but we know that she has many good years ahead for the right family. She is healthy, happy, and loves people of all ages. Truly a great dog for any home.

Due to a human-caused incident, she tragically lost one of her legs and, heartbreakingly, her puppies as well. Despite these hardships, Magdalena has shown incredible strength and determination to heal both physically and emotionally. The last picture was taken during her early healing stages, you can see her courageously taking each step forward, supported by her indomitable spirit. Today, Magdalena is fully healed and ready to embark on a new chapter of her life - one filled with love, compassion, and the security of a forever home. Her gentle demeanor and loving nature shine through every interaction. Magdalena adores human companionship and has a special affinity for belly rubs and leisurely walks. She does well with dogs her size or bigger but hasn't been around small dogs much and doesn't do well with smaller dogs. She has also never been around cats but given her reaction to small dogs, she probably would do best in a home without cats. She thrives on affection and is eager to return it tenfold. Louie is a sweet 3.5 year old boy. He wants to please, but since he was neutered, he's terrified of everything. He's very anxious, but wants to be included in whatever you're doing. He follows me everywhere in the house, and will cuddle if given the chance. He needs a fenced yard, because he loves to zoom, and recall isn't reliable. Outside he's very vigilant will bark at anything he hears or any people he sees. When inside, he will bark at people passing on the street a block away. He has been coached by Canine Coach, and is currently on anti-anxiety medications through MN Veterinary Behavior. He's so anxious, he can override sedation drugs meant to make a vet visit possible -- no one can touch him there. We had a home-visit vet out; she didn't touch him either, even after an hour of feeding him treats. He needs an experienced handler with a quiet house and fenced yard. He needs to be the only pet, with adults. He has nipped when startled.

She loves riding in the car. If the weather allows, she’s a great dog to go on errands with. I think she’s happier that she was brought along rather than left alone at home. Millie is house trained and at this time she requires an insulin shot right after she eats in the morning and 10-12 hours later, with dinner-she requires special diabetic dog food. Approximate monthly cost of her medications and prescription food is $335.She gets along well with other dogs she can be a bit too much for smaller dogs. and cats are unknown. She can be very vocal when hungry or when she has to go outside. Her best bet is a fenced yard that she can be just let out to go potty when she needs to.
