Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Anna was born Jan 5th 2025.  Her DNA profile is a mix between Border Collie, Hound, and Great Pyrenees.  Anna is submissive with other dogs and comes off shy during introductions.  Once she gets to know you her puppy side comes out.  She enjoys chasing other dogs in the yard and playing fetch.  She has not mastered bringing the ball back during fetch, but is a work in progress at her young age.  Anna is mostly potty trained with a very few accidents in her new environment.  She is learning to ask to go outside by using a bell on the door.  Anna enjoys pulling every dog toy out of the box and dissecting the stuffed toys so touch chew toys would be best.  She has not chewed on anything beyond dog toys though.  Anna is a medium sized dog that would do fine with kids of all ages.  She has not met a cat yet, but with her submissive behavior would likely be fine with the right introduction.  She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 21, 2025, 10:38 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Maxwell is the happiest Husky mix ever!  He is around 50lbs and we were told he is a pomsky from his owner.  He is housebroken, great on a leash, loves other dogs and all the people.  He is very smart and would be a great candidate for agility classes and would love a jogging partner.  He has energy to spare.  He needs a fenced in yard because he loves to run (min 4ft fence but 6 is preferred).  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.   His adoption fee is $500 To adopt Maxwell, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 3, 2025, 11:42 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Ghost, he is a gorgeous, very sweet, 6 year old male shepherd mix.  He's a very chill boy who just wants to be with his people.  He loves car rides and is a great travel companion.  He walks well on a leash and is housebroken.  He does struggle with a crate but we think part of this is being at a shelter for so long.  He will need time to decompress and adjust to a new environment.  He is great with other dogs, cats, kids, pretty much everyone.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Ghost, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 28, 2025, 10:35 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Vin Diesel and I'm a senior, male chihuahua.  I just had a dental so my teeth are in pretty okay shape now.  I'm great with other dogs and cats and also respectful kids.  I'm of course hoping to enjoy my retirement ages in a calmer home though.  I walk very well on a leash and love going for car rides.  I'm also potty trained and know my basic commands.  I have great manners and would make an amazing addition to most households.  I'm fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Vin Diesel, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 13, 2025, 1:53 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Capitan is the sweetest little boy.  Well not super little, he is probably around 25-30 pounds now and will most likely get a little bigger.  We are unsure of his breed, he looks like he has border collie in him but probably also some terrier, maybe lab, his coloring suggests dalmatian.  He is amazing with other dogs and kids, loves to snuggle.  We are not sure how he would be with cats in his home but at our events he doesn't even seem to notice them so he probably won't care.  He is working on potty training but is crate trained and does pretty well on a leash.  He loves the water and mud so heads up.  One thing you need to know...he is deaf, and mostly blind, he lost one eye (congenital issue and it was removed), the other eye is not great either.  We think he can see shadows because he navigates his surroundings just fine, even when he is in a new place.  He would benefit from someone who has experience with a deaf and blind dog as training is difficult since he can't hear.  But he is so easy going he would be fine as long as his people do their research and learn with him.  Otherwise he is healthy, he is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Capitan, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2025, 10:48 am
