Story
Intake date - 20 September 2020Approximate Birth Date - 5 August 2019Black and white female border collie********PUPDATE 21 December 2022 - Pan has changed SO MUCH since intake - as you`d expect with a long term stay - and would really thrive in a home of her own. Pan loves the company of other stable dogs, and is devoted and affectionate to humans who are willing to give her space and allow Pan to figure them out and build trust.******Pan will need an experienced home, and other dog(s) to help her become more confident and trusting of strangers.Pan has the genetic ability to be and do nearly anything a human partner could possibly want, but her upbringing and lack of training has left holes that will need to be filled. From everything we can see, the journey will be entirely worth it. Pan recently met a stranger (to her) and was well behaved, engaging, and allowed handling (including feet!).*****Meet Pan! Pan is going to need a patient and confident home with another confident dog. She was not raised in an environment which allowed her to gain self confidence or courage. Pan has been in our care only a few days but has already made tremendous progress. Pan is great with other dogs but is currently reactive and fearful of other people. She will be going through some training here until we feel she is ready for, (and we find her) the perfect forever home.Pan is located in Maryland, and weighs appx 45 lbs.

Story
If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts sweetheart and sidekick, Benton might just be your perfect match. This handsome boy is the definition of a cuddle bug — he believes the best place to be is right next to you (or, let’s be honest, on top of you). He’s a total bed hog who loves to burrow in for naps, so make sure you’re okay with sharing your pillows — Benton certainly is!Beyond his love for snuggles, Benton is a fun-loving adventurer. He’s always ready to hop in the car for a ride and adores sticking his nose out the window to feel the breeze. Bath time? No problem — Benton actually enjoys it! And if you have a boat, he’ll happily join your crew. There’s nothing this boy loves more than being part of whatever his people are doing, whether it’s a road trip, a lazy Sunday, or a day on the water. He’s also a great running buddy — keeping pace by your side and reminding you that exercise is more fun with a wagging tail next to you.Benton is also a devoted and protective companion. He loves his family deeply and takes pride in keeping his home safe. While he’s friendly with people, he can be protective of his property and loved ones, so he’ll do best with someone who understands that a little loyalty sometimes comes with a watchful side. He’s not aggressive — just a dog who truly wants to make sure his people are cared for.Right now, Benton is living his best life in a loving foster home where he’s showing everyone just how wonderful he is. His foster family says he’s affectionate, well-mannered, and always up for a good game of tug or a long snuggle session on the couch. If you’ve been searching for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, join you on adventures, and make your house feel like a home, Benton is your guy. He’s ready to meet you, steal your heart, and claim his spot by your side (and maybe on your pillow). So grab a leash, a tug toy, and a pillow — and come meet this beautiful boy. Benton can’t wait to find his forever family!Benton's adoption fee is $0 thanks to a donation!
