Story
Ophelia was adopted at 1.5 years old from a ASPCA in Michigan. She was previously abused by a male owner prior to being adopted. Also prior to being adopted she was attacked by many other dogs and has anxiety around dogs. As she’s gotten older and hasn’t been around other dogs her anxiety has increased. She’s a really sweet lap dog who loves cuddling and being pet. She’s an empathetic dog and great for anyone with anxiety. She has spent the last 9 years with my husband, and brought much joy to our family. She likes to run when outside and prefers routine. She does bark at noise but quiets down when asked. She responds to snaps and can be easily trained with new commands. She may bark with anxiety at first meeting, but she’s never bitten anyone. She’s truly an old spirit always looking for praise, treats and affection. This a heartbreaking decision to rehome her however, she was denied by our landlord due to weight restrictions. And we just moved across the country.

Story
I have had Ky since she was 5 weeks old. Her momma was less than a year old when she had her 3 pups (by c-section as she a pre-bred English Bulldog.) Our Boxer had cancer and passed soon after Ky was brought home. So, she has not had a lot of other dog contact. She did travel 2 hours one way to puppy classes for 6 weeks. Ky would not pee on the lease and always waited to get home. We moved from Arkansas to Delaware it was a tough drive for Ky because she would not go potty on lease or eat. Ky did start going to a dog park where she played great with big dogs. She walks well on her leash with the correct collar. Very good in the house and has learned not to get on furniture. Ky sleeps in her kennel every night. We are getting ready to travel for 8 weeks then in a year we will be on the road full time. Ky simply can not do it. It is very difficult to let her go....but kenneling her for months at a time seems worse for a country dog. Ky was born on 16 June 2020.

Story
We obtained king from an SPCA event about 4-5 years ago. He was 15 months at the time and our family was looking for another dog to keep our current one company (we had just lost his buddy to old age). Unfortunately right now I can’t afford both dogs and it’s completely unfair to keep a dog that I can’t properly care for. I just want him to end up somewhere warm, caring, and friendly and loving because he deserves it, He is super playful and sweet. Almost overbearing with love at times.

Story
We adopted Larry in 2022, he is a 3 legged Irish wolfhound mix. He is a great dog, I don't have time for him due to returning to work full time and my daughter and family moving back in. He has to be kenneled when I am not home because he's rough to get attention. He is treat motivated and will kennel up if given a treat to go in. He doesn't have much training and will need his shots. Lives with other dogs and cats, chases cats, doesn't bite them. Has been on Purina dog chow and retriever dog mini bites.
