Story

Gus is a 5 year old German Shepherd and weighs approximately 115 pounds. We acquired him from a family who wanted to breed their dogs. The mom was a standard GSD and the dad was all black. I see Gus in a home with someone who is experienced with handling a GSD. I see him in a big backyard to protect it from squirrels, foxes and cats. He is anxious around young children so a home with 12 year old and older would be best for him. He will not eat his food unless you give him the “ok” otherwise he will be making a puddle of drool. He had his yearly vet visit at the end of February and is up to date with vaccines.

He enjoys playing fetch, knows all of his basic commands, and can do some tricks.Pickles loves going on hikes and is always ready for a car ride—he doesn’t get carsick and is a great travel companion. He has no major health issues, is fully house-trained, and is not a chewer.He is also not food aggressive though he might stalk you with his eyes while you’re eating. 😊Pickles is a loving, playful, well-mannered pup who would make a wonderful companion and family dog.

Story

Wilson is 5 years old and I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately due to a change in situation post divorce I am unable to keep him. He is ok with other dogs but only when introduced slowly. He was raised in a home with kids but since getting him as a puppy he has always exhibited significant issues with resource guarding of food and toys. I am happy to answer any questions regarding his behavior and temperament but I don’t think he is a good fit for a family with children unfortunately.

Story

Sadie is an 8 year old American Bulldog, her birthday is August 6th. We took on Sadie in June as an effort to rehome her from a previous family with children. The children were jumping around the dog and taking her things so she got defensive and they had to part ways with her. Sadie is house broken but when aggravated she will go to the bathroom in the house. She requires a little more training on that. She also requires a lot of attention, she needs walks at least once a day and she will be on your furniture to stay close to you. Most of this stems from an anxiety disorder that may be helped with medication that I cannot afford. Sadie is also afraid of storms. We’ve had her in a crate while not at home due to the bathroom issues but we’d rather her be in a home where she can be alone far less often. She just loves her people overall though, and with the right amount of time and resources, she will be a wonderful companion!
