Story
Ollie is very sweet with his family but he is reactive to strangers that come to the door. He will also bark at other dogs when out for a walk on a leash, however, he does fine with other dogs at doggie daycare and at the dog park when he is off leash. He can be nervous and shy around people he does not know, however he is friendly and sweet with his family. He loves to cuddle next to you during a movie! He would do best in a quieter home that maybe has less activity and fewer people coming and going. He is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands. He has lots of energy and loves to go for long walks (he walks well on a leash) and loves playing fetch. He can also be left out in the house and is trustworthy--he will not chew things or be destructive. Overall, he is a good dog and calm and happy most of the time. He needs to be in a calm household that can help him manage his fear of strangers. He is a cavapoo, so he does not shed, but requires grooming about every 8 weeks.

Story
Meet Enzo - a boy with the enthusiasm of a toddler and an unwavering dedication for playing fetch. Being outside is his happy place and once he's comfortable, his incredibly loyal, loving personality truly shines. Enzo is the kind of guy who just wants to be included, whether that's exploring the yard, playing until sunset, or simply being near his favorite people. He's gentle with kiddos, friendly with people of all ages, and simply always down to play. He's still learning some greeting manners but he's eager to please and does well with consistency and patience. If you're in the market for a best friend with a goofy streak, endless love to give, and the athletic endurance of a dog who clearly skipped the "getting tired" chapter, Enzo is ready to steal your heart.

Story
Meet Buddy. Buddy is a 2-year old chihuahua mix. He weighs 15 lbs. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. He is almost house broken. We don't know about Buddy's history. He was found as a stray in Dayton, OH area. We rescued him from the shelter. Buddy is very skittish. He is timid to places where he is not familiar with and may show fear aggression. We are looking for a quiet home for him. The adopter needs to be patient with Buddy. Buddy is fine with everybody. He usually stays away from the crowd and very quiet. However he has food aggression. He always fears that someone would take away his food/treats. Hence a home with children is not suitable for him. Once he is comfortable with you, he would come to greet you and let you to pet him. Buddy's adoption fee is $250. Please submit the adoption application at https://charlieswishanimalrescue.org for scheduling a meet and greet.

Story
Meet Lily and Daizy. They both are female chihuahua mix. Both are 2-3 years old, weigh 10-11 lbs. They both are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Both are not completely house trained. They use pee pads inside the house. Lily and Daizy are a bonded pair. They need to be adopted together. Lily is the black/white girl. Daizy is merle in black and tan. Both are timid and skittish. Lily is the boss of the pair. She may show fear aggression to strangers. But once she warms up, she is a sweet girl. Daizy is a shy girl but warm up quicker than Lily. She LOVES to give kisses. Both like to sleep with their foster mom under the blanket. Because of Lily's temperament, we think it is better for them to go to a home without kids. Both are food motivated. Both are friendly with dogs. We are not sure how they think about cats. LIly and Daizy's adoption fee is $500 Please submit an adoption application at http://charlieswishanimalrescue.org to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Are you looking for a loyal and sweet companion? Izzy is the girl for you! Izzy is a sweet girl who will let any person pet her. She seems very good with children. She was a little uneasy, but good, at the vet. She gets a bit distressed when crated.Izzy birth date is listed as 12-17-2021 and she is a spayed female. She had a rough start but then she was rescued by GU. GU took her all over in his truck and fattened her up by feeding her people food. GU passed away in 6-2025. LO took ownership. LO loved Izzy but moved 5 times in a year, and was too busy to take Izzy out like she needs. Izzy lost a lot of weight. I offered to foster her to give her regular food, potty time, and companionship.I believe Izzy was not socialized with other dogs as a puppy. She is reactive to other animals. She whines and pulls toward them but then acts aggressively. It looks like fear to me and I am going to try to see if some training will help. For now, she needs a home where she is the only pet.
