Story
Hi, my dog’s name is Blitz and he is 6 1/2 years old. I’ve had him for 3 1/2 years and got him from another rescue service. He is very good both inside and outside of the house. He does not like to travel in the car. It gives him anxiety and he slobbers. He loves attention and chasing tennis balls, which he generally catches on the first bounce. He chases the squirrels in my backyard and birds. He loves being petted and will follow you anywhere you go. He’s not one to lay down and sleep while I’m at home. He’s not happy when I leave home, but does not tear up anything or leave any messes in the house. There is shedding as you would expect with an Australian Shepherd breed. He’s a happy dog, especially when you come back after being away. He jumps and spins circles. He is a rescue dog as I’ve mentioned, so does have some idiosyncrasies. For example, if I go downstairs, he will go with me, but won’t come back up unless I tell him it’s OK. Same thing if I go out in the garage. Good dog!

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Leia 🩷 📍 Fostered in: Westerville, OH 🐶 Good with dogs: Yes 🐈 Good with cats: Yes 👧 Good with kids: Yes 🏠 Housebroken: Yes 📦 Crate trained: Yes 🐾 Leash trained: Working on it! ⸻ Hi, I’m Leia 👋🏼 I am an estimated 6-8 year old large mixed breed in search of my final destination. My foster family DNA tested me and I am 50% Great Pyrenees, 20.1% Cane Corso, 19.6% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 10.3% American Bulldog. More importantly, I am 100% the best girl! My early days started with being kept crated 24/7, used for breeding and hardly cared for. Finally, my “family” abandoned me, which may have been the best gift possible. I was found as a stray and taken in as an emergency due to my condition. Between the help of many rescuers, I made my way to CO•PAW and have transformed into my absolute best self. From skin & bones to healthy & playful! I love sleeping on the couch, sometimes trying to scooch my way onto a lap if I’m allowed. I just learned how to play with my foster brothers and I love running in the yard with them, too. I love my food and treats! I am working on basic commands and definitely food motivated. I prefer to be fed away from other pets. After having been starved, I can get a wee bit protective of my foods. I REQUIRE... A fenced in yard or lots of walkies! If you have a flimsy fence, that might not work for me. If I see a deer or a rabbit, I want to try to get it. 👀 My foster mom had a weak spot in her fence, and I went on a bit of a walk about. Once that was fixed, I have been fine! ⸻ 🩺 Veterinary Care Provided All CO•PAW dogs are: ✔️ Spayed/Neutered ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Heartworm tested (1+ year) ✔️ Given preventatives and initial vaccines If booster shots have not yet occurred, they may be completed for free at our Columbus, OH clinic—or at your own vet, at your expense. ⸻ 📝 Adoption Info •Must live in the State of Ohio •No transport available—adopters must travel for the meet & greet •Meet & greets are scheduled only after application approval •Please come prepared to take your new best friend home if it’s a match! Bring a collar, leash, harness, and crate for safe travel.

Seniors (65+) are permitted to adopt a senior dog (8+) for the reduced fee of $75.00* Nala joined COPAW in September 2024 after my owner left for the hospital and sadly never came back. She joined rescue with my best friend Pumpkin, who just passed away in May. Now that she no longer has her best friend, she am looking for a final home to shower her with love and affection until the end of time! ⸻ 💊 Health Notes My only known medical issue is that I do have a suspected collapsed trachea, so in high-activity situations, my cough may flare up. I am current on all vaccinations, spayed, and a dental was completed in October 2024. 🩷 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Macie 🩷 📍 Fostered in: Lewis Center, OH 🐶 Good with dogs: Yes, medium/large only 🐈 Good with cats: No 👧 Good with kids: Older kids 🏠 Housebroken: Yes 📦 Crate trained: Yes 🐾 Leash trained: Yes 👋🏼 FROM MY FOSTER FAMILY: “Looking for a loyal, loving companion with just the right mix of playful energy and cuddle-up charm? Say hello to Macie, a beautiful 2-year-old bully mix with a heart as big as her smile! 💕 Macie can choosy about her dog company but adores playgroup time with her medium to large dog friends – she’s a social butterfly who thrives in the company of her chosen canine crew. She walks well on a leash and is working hard on appropriately meeting new people and house manners. Smart, eager to learn, and incredibly food- and affection-motivated, Macie will do just about anything for a treat or a belly rub! 🦴🐶 She’s happiest when she’s around her people, lounging in the sun in her fenced yard. She would enjoy being an only pup or sharing space with a compatible canine friend but needs a home without cats – she prefers to keep her feline friends at a distance. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, and affectionate dog who’s ready to be your shadow and your sidekick, Macie is your girl. Come meet her and see why everyone falls in love with her big personality and even bigger heart.” ❤️ ⸻ 🩺 Veterinary Care Provided All CO•PAW dogs are: ✔️ Spayed/Neutered ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Heartworm tested (1+ year) ✔️ Given preventatives and initial vaccines If booster shots have not yet occurred, they may be completed for free at our Columbus, OH clinic—or at your own vet, at your expense. ⸻ 📝 Adoption Info •Must live in the State of Ohio •No transport available—adopters must travel for the meet & greet •Meet & greets are scheduled only after application approval •Please come prepared to take your new best friend home if it’s a match! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Cambria  is a very sweet, beautiful girl with very cool coloring and markings!  She loves to run around and play with her foster sister and her toys.      She loves squeaky toys and high-quality chew toys. She loves to cuddle next to you after she is done running around getting her energy out. She loves to cuddle next to you or she will even cuddle up in her puppy bed and nap. She will also go into her crate for nap time. She will need a little variety of toys to keep her busy and entertained.   We are guessing she is a hound/lab mix, and our best guess is she will grow up to be a medium sized girl. Her mother was found as a stray and had eight puppies. They were all very lucky to get into rescue to all live their best lives now.        She is doing well with crate training and will sleep throughout the night most nights. I make it cozy in there and it should be a positive cozy space for her.    She is doing very well with potty training and will need a family with patience and consistency to continue her training. I am using the bell training method, and it is going well, but will need to be reinforced continuously with treats and positive reinforcement.   She is an active girl and will need a lot of exercise, walks and park time. She will be the perfect adventure girl! She would love hiking and park time with her new family.   She will need continued socializing and play time with other pups! She would LOVE doggie daycare to get structured play and play time. She does well with cats and is being fostered with cats and kittens.   She is a VERY smart girl, and we HIGHLY encourage obedience/behavior training for all of our pups once adopted into their forever homes.   If you live an active lifestyle and are ready to bring this adorable girl  into your home, she is ready for some meet and greets to meet her family.    She would do best with older children due to learning boundaries. She is fully vetted and ready for her family and puppy classes!    Please complete an adoption application today! *Columbus Area Only* Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application today at https://fflah.rescuegroups.org//forms January 30, 2026, 3:23 pm

Story
We’ve had Riley for about 7 years (her age is estimated). We adopted her from Canine Companion while living in Maryland. She is a sweet, loyal girl who bonds closely with her people and thrives on routine. As Riley has gotten older, she has become uncomfortable around other dogs and would do best as the only pet. She has also shown signs of stress when small children get too close to her personal space, including a recent near-nip. Because of this, we believe she would be safest and happiest in a calm, adult household or with older, dog-savvy children. Riley is house-trained, crate-trained, and very food-motivated (she LOVES treats!). She has been a cherished part of our family since the beginning of our marriage, and this decision is made solely out of concern for the safety and well-being of our children and other pets. We are committed to finding Riley a loving, responsible home where she can feel secure and truly thrive.
