Due to worsening allergies in the home and an unavoidable change in work schedules, Lucky is looking for a foster (or forever) home where he can trade his crate for more "zoomie" time and companionship. 🌟 Personality & Temperament Lucky is the perfect blend of his breeds: independent, curious, and deeply affectionate. He is a "people dog" who has never shown aggression toward humans or other animals. Vocal & Communicative: In true Husky fashion, Lucky likes to talk! He may give a low growl when it’s time to go into his crate—not out of aggression, but as a "vocal protest" because he’d much rather stay out and play with you. Everyone’s Friend: Lucky is great with other dogs, we are unsure how he does with children and cats. Alert & Attentive: He takes his job as a doorbell notifier seriously and will bark at strangers or footsteps at the door, though household sounds like the vacuum don't phase him. A Little Storm-Shy: While he’s fine indoors during bad weather, loud environmental noises like thunderstorms or large garbage trucks can make him anxious while on walks. 🏡 Life at Home Lucky is a "good boy" when it comes to house manners. He is house-trained and is not destructive when left alone. Crate Profile: He is fully crate-trained and sleeps there comfortably at night (usually starting around 8:00 PM). He currently spends 6–8 hours in his crate during the workday, but he is looking for a home where he can have more freedom and activity. Energy Level: High! Lucky loves his fenced backyard and enjoys being active. He is manageable on a leash but is always ready for an adventure. Training: He’s a smart pup who already knows Sit, Hug, High-Five, and “Let’s go outside.” 🏥 Health & Wellness Lucky is a healthy boy with no known allergies or chronic conditions. Monthly Maintenance: He stays protected with monthly Simparica trio (flea/tick/heartworm). My foster family DNA tested me and I am 50% Great Pyrenees, 20.1% Cane Corso, 19.6% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 10.3% American Bulldog. More importantly, I am 100% the best girl! My early days started with being kept crated 24/7, used for breeding and hardly cared for. Finally, my “family” abandoned me, which may have been the best gift possible. I was found as a stray and taken in as an emergency due to my condition. Between the help of many rescuers, I made my way to CO•PAW and have transformed into my absolute best self. From skin & bones to healthy & playful! I love sleeping on the couch, sometimes trying to scooch my way onto a lap if I’m allowed. I just learned how to play with my foster brothers and I love running in the yard with them, too. I love my food and treats! I am working on basic commands and definitely food motivated. I prefer to be fed away from other pets. After having been starved, I can get a wee bit protective of my foods. I REQUIRE... A fenced in yard or lots of walkies! If you have a flimsy fence, that might not work for me. If I see a deer or a rabbit, I want to try to get it. 👀 My foster mom had a weak spot in her fence, and I went on a bit of a walk about. It's true! DACO (sounds like "taco") is as much a German Shepherd as he is a Pit, with a big dose of Aussie, too! No matter what breed make up this cutie is, Daco is one big, handsome character who will keep you laughing with his antics. Just watch him play with the stream of water from the garden hose, and your day immediately will be better! Daco is a happy, curious, enthusiastic goofball who is still learning his manners and how to read cues from his fellow pups when he starts to play too hard. He loves to be loved on, and he loves to learn. A home with a physically fenced yard where he can play freely and safely is a must. Homes with older kids would be preferred as well, simply due to Daco not being fully aware of his size. He needs a loving and firm "pack leader" who has energy to share with this pup. After spending that energy, Daco knows when to go to his crate or relax on the couch for rest time. Murphy came in with his brother Mack. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Murphy started out more independent than his brother and still probably is a bit, but he also seeks out attention from time to time and can be very affectionate. Murphy looks more like pure Aussie than his brother, but he may still be mixed. We'd love Murphy and Mack to be adopted together.
