Story
Bentley James is a sweet 1 1/2 -year-old boy weighing just 14 lbs. He's looing for a new home after his owners had to move and couldn't take him. Bentley is affectionate, loves being with his people, and is the perfect small-sized companion. He's ready to find a home where he'll be cherished and never left behind again. Bentley is used to hanging out with other dogs. He has some hair loss due to arriving with fleas but with monthly flea prevention his hair will grow back soon. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, on heartworm prevention and microchipped, his adoption donation is $200. If you would be interested in adopting please visit us at 4 Commercial Ave Washington Court House Ohio. Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 2pm.These are abandoned street animals or unplanned litters, some of older age, and many with a shy temperament. Their prior history is sometimes unknown. These fees are subject to fluctuation, if deemed necessary, depending on season, amount of adoptable animals in our program, and/or breed of animal. Story
We are looking for a new home for Lexi. Her mom was a beagle and father unknown, but DNA testing shows she’s more pit bull. She is a sweet but shy dog. She loves being petted and being played with and would be a good family pet with continued training. She l loves to run outside with her brothers and play fetch. She’s very skid-dish and is wary of new people, but has been a good pet. She knows basic commands like sit and down, but needs more training. She could use more training for some bad habits, but her behavior is SO much improved from when we got her at 1-1/2 years. She gets along with other dogs, however, she has a tendency of pestering them until she’s used to them. Lexi gets along well with people and will be ok with other dogs. Not sure how she would be with cats. She’s been great with our three children and other pets.

Story
We are looking for a new home for Bruno. His mom was a beagle and father unknown, but DNA testing shows she’s more pit bull. Bruno is a loving dog and a good buddy. He is well trained and minds really well. He would likely do well on his own without any other animals. He’s done very well with our children and all others he has met. We got him when he was 1-1/2 and has been a good pet. We just can no longer take care of him. He gets along well with his littermate and eventually our other pets, but his behavior can be unpredictable at times.

Story
We recently adopted Dusty from a rescue facility, as he had been there only a couple of weeks. We have had Dusty for a few or so months, he truly is a great dog, I just don’t have a lot of time to be with him due to having to switch jobs and Dusty loves to be around people. I also have a couple older geriatric cats that I’ve had for over 14-15 years and they have just not adjusted well. He is very high energy and very active. He’s very adventurous and always curious of everything, always in search of something and being mischievous. He would be a good fit for someone who can spend lots of time with him and can continuously keep up with him. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle! He is still learning. Dusty appreciates slow introductions with other dogs and has been in doggie daycare 3x a week with our other dog so he is well accustomed to smaller breeds. My significant other works for a vets office and would appreciate to see veterinary records of other animals he’ll be meeting.

Story
A gorgeous blue velvet Staffordshire/ Boxer mix with a soft coat, Finnick has lots of love to share. He has lots of energy, loves rolling in the grass and playing fetch. Finnick enjoys hanging out with people outside during playtime. He would enjoy being the only in pet in the home with a fenced yard and would love to be your companion . With an estimated birth date of March 2, 2021 and weighing 58 pounds, Finnick has been vet checked, neutered, is up to date on vaccines, on flea & heartworm prevention. Currently he is on sensitive stomach food. We hope that once he is out of the stresses of the shelter, he might be able to return to regular dog food. We ask a donation of $145 cash to help with vet expenses and a dog license. Pets are seen by appointment. We ask people to complete an interest form which is online at https://pawshumane.weebly.com/interest-form.html .
