Details
Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Buddy was adopted around October by my elderly father-in-law to be an emotional support animal. My father-in-law is no longer able to care for Buddy. The shelter he was in said he was approximately 5 years old. Buddy is a loving dog who wants to sit on your lap or beside you in your chair. He also loves to play with his toys. Buddy is currently in a home with 2 large dogs. While he gets along with them very well he would be great as a single dog so he could get all the attention and toys. He plays fetch but forgets to bring the ball back. Buddy is neutered, housebroken, and we have been working with him on basis training (sit when you get a treat, wait to jump in the chair until you are given permission, etc.)

Plain City, OH
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Story
Hi. My name is Brutus. I'm just a kid. I just recently celebrated my first birthday, but it was bittersweet. I was hurt very badly and my front leg was broken. It is on the mend and almost all better thanks to the doctor. After my leg was broken, I ended up in a very scary place. I heard them call it a shelter, but I didn't feel sheltered or safe. They were going to take me into this even scarier room, but instead I was taken back to my cold kennel. Next thing I know some other people took me to another place and eventually I was in a large van and we rode for a long time. They tell me I am now a Buckeye, whatever that is, and I'm going to find a wonderful family to take care of me and love me forever! Maybe my first birthday wasn't so bad after all. Brutus is full of life and love. He's still got a lot of the puppy traits, but is very smart and eager to please. If you would like to meet this special guy, please submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org. Brutus is vaccinated, neutered, heartworn tested (negative) ,wormed and microchipped.

Story
Yuma is a sweet little pup, but very shy when meeting new people. She warms up quickly though and just wants to play and give kisses. She traveled all the way from Texas with the hope of finding a wonderful family in the MidWest. Texas doesn’t have enough adopters for the amount of dogs they have. It’s such a problem that many wonderful dogs are being euthanized at extremely high rates. We were able to get Yuma and her brother out to safety the day they were scheduled to lose their lives. They have been through a lot in their short young lives, but they aren’t so bonded that they need to be adopted together. Yuma has been spayed, heart worm tested( negative), vaccinated, de wormed and microchipped. If you would like to meet this little Texas Belle, please submit an application on our website, canaansnimalsanctuary.org.

Story
Bonanza and his sister were surrendered to a high kill shelter in Texas. Just 5 months old and they were scheduled to die on the day we got them out. They have both been through a lot in their short little lives and would like to find a secure home with a loving family. Bonanza and Yuma do not need to be adopted together, but we would welcome the idea of you have lots of room in your home and heart for two very happy ,energetic and loving kiddosThey just need a stable environment to learn to relax and just be puppies. Bonanza is doing a great job, but is not completely house broken. He tries his best to please, but as most puppies, he needs patience and guidance to teach him how to be the most wonderful dog he can be. This sweet guy has been neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested( negative), de wormed and microchipped. If you like playful pups and loads of kisses, this is your guy! Please submit an application on our website, canaansnimalsanctuary.org, to meet Bonanza.

Story
Boba is a happy go lucky fellow. A real character, full of surprises and fun. He has been known to open doors and jump baby gates to gett where he wants to go. You will love his smooshie face and curly q tail. Boba traveled all the way from Bexar, Texas and is anxious to start his new life in the midwest. He gets along with most dogs, but has had issues with some and he's not afraid to show his dislike. For that reason, he needs a home where any other dogs would be laid back and not trying to show their dominance. Boba is 90 percent house trained and is crate trained as well. He loves to cuddle on the couch and give kisses. If you would like to meet this sweet little boy, pleas submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org. We will then contact you to schedule a meet and greet. Boba is utd on vaccines, neutered, HW tested (-), flea treated and microchipped.
