Story
These are two rescues in August 2023. I have no info on previous family situation. I have acclimated them to a stable home life, consistent meals, bathing and haircuts (by me). They don't tolerate nail care (also attempted by me). They are skeptical about water from the bowl (or it may be the tap water) so I do put water in their meals. Works for us and their noses stay moist so they are hydrated. They like music when they are in the Kennel when I have appointments. But they still suffer from what appears separation anxiety. I give lots of love because these little guys were dumped and all the hair on their back was shaved off. Not sure what that was about. They just want to be loved. I suggest they stay together because I don't think they will survive if separated. I can no longer care for them because of my illness I am put in 4 - 6 months of Physical Therapy to get back to taking care of myself, without assistance. They need to be walked and loved and I can no longer give them that.

Story
Luke is 4 years old. He's good with female dogs. Luke has a dominance issue, so hes not too good with male dogs. He can also be food aggressive at times. His aggression is more of a scared aggression but I don't know what his triggers are. It makes it hard for me to give him what he needs. He hasn't been around kids. I'm pregnant and I have 3 other dogs. He has become too overprotective of me. My husband cant approach me without causing an issue with luke. Its gotten worse since i became pregnant. Im rehoming Luke because I don't think he will take a child being in the house in a positive way. He loves the outdoors, walks, Frisbee, etc. He is a natural working dog. Has alot of energy. He is very smart. Has a great call back. He's good on and off leash.

Story
Marlo was found abandoned on the streets about a month ago. When I found him he was obviously malnourished and dehydrated. Over the last month I have been working on rehabilitating his health and weight. I have taken him to the vet and gotten him up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. He is very sweet and playful and he does well with other animals, kids, and my two rabbits! Unfortunately, due to work/personal reasons, I am unable to keep Marlo in my care, but I was proud to foster him and get him back to health in the meantime! Please help me find this sweet boy his forever home!

Dayton, OH
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
We found Brutus in a trailer park after he was abandoned by his original owner. He's a young dog, but he hates being left alone and he has some behavioral issues. (gets excited and will jump on you without any warning which can be a little scary to some people) He loves chewing things. He's a great walking dog, always on high alert. He's a sweet boy, but a little slow. All he needs is someone who has enough time on their hands to train him. His groin area may need surgery that we cannot afford. He has a permanent "lipstick" and he pees in a different direction. He cannot sit properly and will lay on his butt rather than a normal sit pose like a regular dog. He cannot tolerate any wet food. Ultimately, we are already breaking the bank with our elderly dog Oakley that is nearing the end stages of her life and we would like to focus on her health during this difficult time as we are also moving in a week.
