No. Could use leash or tether to potty.• Need another dog in the home? No mandatory• Location: Kalamazoo, MI• Energy level (high/med/low)? LowHi! I’m Bandit. I'm an old, sleepy guy who likes soft blankets, dog beds and laps. I don't do much, other than sleep and snuggle, but I do occasionally chase the cats. (The cats have no trouble outrunning me because, well, I'm old). I came from a hoarding situation and didn't get great care. I have bad teeth (which will be taken care of) and some hip problems/joint pain. I often won't eat unless my person sits with me. My foster mommy says I need just the right place for my golden years where someone has time to spoil me. Maybe someone who works from home or someone retired? Is that you?***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES. Please fill out an application on our website if you are interested in adopting this dog. Story
Notes: My likes: I like long walks, squeaky toys (I love love love balls!!), meeting new people, chasing/playing with my foster sister, snuggling with you whenever you are sitting down, and bunking in with my foster mom when it’s time to snooze. My dislikes: I don’t like being crated, sharing my toys or being left alone (my foster mom has called me Mr FOMO- what does that mean ? ). I am afraid of: Nothing! I am fearless~ fireworks and vacuum cleaners don't bother me in the least! I want to make friends with everyone I meet. I get along with: Just about every living thing, except I don't feel safe around small children. But other dogs, big kids, cats, grown ups~~all of them are fun. My ideal home: My ideal home would have a fenced yard for me to run around and play in, and a mom or dad (or both!!) who wants to take me on walks and on car rides. I get along very well with other animals, people, and "big kids" but I am a little afraid of smaller humans (under 12). So I would be my best and happiest self in a home with no small children. My ideal adopter: My ideal adopter is someone who wants a shadow and will let me follow them around all day and night; and who is patient with me as I continue my progress on going potty outside. Additional info you might want to know about me: I’m still working on building confidence and trust, but I’m getting braver every day. Nothing a little love and pampering can’t fix! About my personality: Benny is very eager to please and prefers to be with people and animals but he adjusts to his environment quickly. He is fine with dogs that have more dominant personalities. He is just an easy going guy !!! His favorite spot is next to, or draped over his human. He also loves to go on walks - he can circle the block, or can go the distance for a couple of miles. He has been doing great on the house training - he has had only a few accidents over the last 12 days that I have been working with him, and no accidents in his crate. He does best when he has frequent opportunities to potty outside.

Low ·       Bio:   Katydid (goes by Katie) has been a well-loved dog her entire life, but she found herself in a precarious situation when her owner suddenly needed to be moved to a senior living facility – where Katie couldn’t follow.  Speak! for the Unspoken was able to step in and make sure Katie could continue her life in a loving home.   Everyone who meets Katie is immediately charmed by her.  She is sweet, gentle, and quiet.  Her needs are small – someone who she can follow around the house, who is willing to pet her, who will tell her how wonderful she is multiple times a day.  Katie is an old soul and is in her retirement years, meaning she would like a quieter house and someone who is home with her as much as possible.  As a senior, she needs more trips outside during the day (she is happy to sleep by your bed for the whole night without disturbing you).  She loves going for walks but wants to take those nice and slow so she can soak up all the sights and smells.   She is being fostered in a home with kids and another dog, and while she gets along with everyone and settled in nicely, she definitely prefers a quiet routine.  Katie is in search of her perfect companion for the rest of her years.  If you are also searching for a quiet, loving, gentle companion – Katie could be right for you! ***PLEASE READ*** WE DO NOT RESPOND TO PETFINDER OR EMAIL INQUIRIES.
