Story
Sweet Mouse is looking for his second chance, the kind of home where patience, kindness, and understanding can help him blossom into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be. Mouse hasn’t had the easiest start to life, and he’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. With the people he trusts, though, he’s an absolute sweetheart, affectionate, goofy, and eager to please. Once you meet him, you’ll see just how much love this boy has to give. Mouse loves other dogs and would do best in a home with canine companions who can show him the ropes. He gains confidence from his dog friends and truly shines when he’s part of a pack. He’s looking for an adult-only home, where things stay calm and predictable, and no cats, please, they’re a bit too interesting for him! Mouse is absolutely adorable and just wants to be a good boy. With time, training, and gentle guidance, he’s going to make someone a truly loyal and loving companion.

Story
Maxwell is a 7-year-old boy who has not had an easy start to life, but we are absolutely determined to make sure the rest of his story is filled with comfort, love, and happiness. As a puppy, Maxwell suffered a serious leg injury that was never treated. For years, he lived with pain and limited mobility. Despite many efforts, surgeries, and consultations, we couldn’t undo the damage done so long ago, and the kindest choice was to amputate his injured leg. The good news? Maxwell has adapted beautifully. Since he wasn’t able to use the leg much before, he’s already moving better and seems more comfortable and relieved without the constant pain and extra weight. He’s learning that life feels pretty good now. Maxwell enjoys attention from his people, playing with toys, going for walks, splashing around in water, and, perhaps his favorite, lounging on a soft, cozy bed. He’s a loyal, loving guy who would thrive as the one and only pet, as other dogs just aren’t really his thing. Maxwell is looking for someone who will see his resilience, his strength, and his heart, and give him the safe, loving home he has always deserved. His past doesn’t define him, but his future could be incredible… with you

Story
Minerva came to us because her owner's housing didn't allow dogs. Now, she’s on the hunt for a new forever home where she can unpack her bags and stay put. Minerva can be shy upon first meeting but give her some time (and maybe a couple of treats) you'll see her silly, loving side shine! She has done well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. If there is another dog in the home, she needs a dog that can match her energy and playstyle. In the home, she did have some jealously issues when attention is being given to other dogs (although she doesn't have this problem at the shelter) she needs a home that will give her the training she may need for this. Minerva is likely potty trained, very well-mannered, and let’s be honest, extremely adorable.

Story
Zaxby is a bashful fella trying to figure out the world. If you take some time with him, he will slowly approach you for some soft pets. He gets a lot of confidence from being around other dogs and would do best in a home with canine companions. He really enjoys a big plush blanket to snuggle up on and is a very quiet fella.

Story
Ridge is a hound mix with long legs, a goofy grin, and enough charm to win over everyone he meets. He’s the definition of “handsome and hilarious” all lanky limbs and happy tail wags, with a heart as big as his goofy smile. True to his hound nature, Ridge is curious, playful, and full of personality. He’ll make you laugh with his silly antics one minute and melt your heart with his sweetness the next. All he really wants is a comfy place to land, a soft bed to stretch out on, and a family who will love him for the joyful, affectionate dog he is. Ridge does seem to be apprehensive with men and would prefer a home without men. He is such a sweetheart and would love a home to call his own!

However his journey started, it led him somewhere safe, and now he’s ready for the best part yet. Grillo is a goofy, sweet, and super cute dude who has a knack for making people smile. He’s playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being clingy, and always happy to be included in whatever you’re doing. Whether he’s goofing around with friends or leaning in for love, Grillo brings easy joy everywhere he goes. All this handsome guy wants is a family to call his own, a place where he can settle in, feel secure, and be loved for who he is.
