I got my dog from a purebred breeder in Wisconsin. She is 6 years old. Very sweet and lovey, but wants and craves solo attention. She has had little exposure with kids, but when around them seems to get nervous.

Story

Cassie is a 25 pound Australian Cattle Dog with lots of love. She’s affectionate, playful, smart, and full of energy. One of her absolute favorite things is chasing Frisbees — she’ll run after them and leap into the air to make the catch. Cassie loves attention and is always excited to see her people. She’ll greet you at the door with her favorite toy and a wagging tail. She also enjoys playing with larger dogs and would thrive with an active person or family who can give her regular opportunities to run, play, and be outside. She is crate trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Cassie does have a history of seizures, which are currently well controlled with daily medication. She takes her medicine easily and without any fuss. We want her new family to be comfortable continuing her medication and veterinary care. We are looking for a genuinely great long-term home for Cassie — ideally someone who appreciates an active, energetic dog and will make her part of the family.

**Meet Cassie ❤️** Cassie is a 4-year-old, 24-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix who is affectionate, playful, smart, and full of energy. She loves chasing Frisbees and will leap into the air to catch them. She loves attention, greets her people at the door with a favorite toy and wagging tail, and enjoys playing with larger dogs. Cassie would thrive with an active person or family who can give her plenty of opportunities to run, play, and be outside. She is crate trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Meet Juno! She is a very energetic 1 year old girl who was rescued from a severe abuse and neglect situation in Lubbock, TX. She was found chained on a short chain in her backyard and was only 25lbs (she is 45lbs now and still has weight to gain!). Now, she is here at Desert Willow learning about freedom and love. She has done amazing with people and kids and is bursting at the seams with joy and love. She RUNS whenever she can, throws toys in the air and chases them, cuddles passionately and just wants to find her human. She may need to be an only dog at this point as she has had some bad experiences it appears, but she will be your true companion. She would be ideal for someone who is active and possibly enjoys hiking, running, and/or swimming. Come meet her! She is always ready to meet you!
