Story
Tutti! This is a special gal. Look at those googlie eyes! Tutti was found living in a drain pipe, and other dogs were bullying her. Thankfully, we were able to scoop her up-and she hasn’t stopped entertaining us! She’s a pretty shy girl, and we don’t know all that she’s been through, but we know none of it was good. She just needs a little extra time to come out of her shell. Loud noises and thunder scare her, so someone who understand what her needs will be is ideal. She’s good with all dogs and older kids. She has not been exposed to cats and arrives in Wisconsin on 11/6! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above. Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Since they are still puppies, dogs under 1 will require a basic obedience and puppy training class, and spay/neuter at the owners expense. Story
Rooney is an independent and very low maintenance kinda gal! She is pretty timid at first and likes to get a “lay of the land” before she sets up camp on your lap. She’ll let you pick her up, but until she’s comfortable, it’s definitely not her favorite. But you wanna know what IS her favorite? Just lounging outside in the sun. Clearly, she may need to wait a while until she can do that in Wisconsin at this point! She knows the sit command and recognizes her name. Rooney rarely barks and would do great with apartment living. She is housetrained but will have accidents until she adjusts to her new family schedule. Rooney is crate trained, so you could work that into training her to be on your schedule. She would do wonderful in a home seeking a low-maintenance, quiet, adorable little girl! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Story
Meet Tabitha! Tabitha is a young adult gal from the streets of Houston. (See the video from her TX rescue above!) She is a sweet, playful girl who really wants a forever home. She can be shy at first, like all dogs, but once I settle in, she would love to curl up with her humans and do a little happy dance when they come home! Tabitha REALLY loves being with other dogs. She will follow her foster dog brothers, play, run in the yard and snuggle with them. She also LOVES toys of all kinds and taking them outside. She's eager to please but can a little mischievous by stealing a hat, or shoe or laundry occasionally to play with. 🙂 Tabitha is a medium-energy dog and can keep herself occupied while also enjoying the company of others. If you have a quiet household with another dog to play with and a fenced in yard, Tabitha is your gal! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Meet Obsidian!! Obi is a hoot! He is the cutest little adventurer who will follow you where ever you go! And no, you can't hide from him! He WILL find you! He doesn't like to be left out of any activity that might interest him. He's an energetic puppy but also happy to sleep next to you or on your lap! He's working hard on potty training and needs to be in a home with a family gone no more than 3-4 hours. Don't miss out on this cutie! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Story
Dini was rescued in December of 2022 right before the big freeze in Texas. She is about 6 years old and 9 lbs. She was a stray for months and no one could catch her from the community pool area she was living in. Dini took about a week to warm up to her foster mom but after that week, she was READY to be besties. Ever since then, Dini has adjusted to new women very quickly - she will greet them within minutes of their arrival and let them pet her while her tail is wagging. Men, on the other hand, are not Dini's favorite. She warmed up to her foster dad enough to share the bed and living spaces, but prefers not to be snuggled or pet by them. Dini also does not favor cats and will bark at them for long periods of time. Dini is AMAZING with other dogs sharing humans, space, food and water. She is not possessive of her space or belongings with other dogs. Dini's perfect home is a house without men or a VERY patient understanding man. She is an amazing bed sleeper and anyone wanting that will ADORE her ability to snuggle right up for bed time. Dini is so loving and easy to care for. Dini is incredible in the crate and does ok on a leash. **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Chubby! Chubby was surrendered to Lolas in Texas when his owner faced eviction if he didn't rehome his dogs. Sadly we see this far too often happening, and we are glad we were able to help these two fun boys! Chubby is seeking an adopter that is experienced with the Bulldog breed. With their known medical issues and behaviors, we feel it is best they be adopted to family with breed experience. Chubby is full of energy and loves to go for walks, run around in a fenced in yard, and play with other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats. We feel he'd do best in a home with older children, as he needs work on his manners and would benefit from an obedience class. Chubby is terrified of storms and loud noises. He is fully housetrained and crate trained. If you're interested in Chubby, please submit an application! If you have further questions about Chubby, or questions about our process, please feel free to send us an email at wi.lolasluckyday@gmail.com **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog.
