If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy who will happily be by your side, I’m your guy! I love being outside, going on adventures, soaking up attention, and making the most of every minute with my people. I would LOVE a securely fenced yard where I can run, play, explore, and interact with my family. 🌳🐾 But there’s one important thing you should know—I don’t want to be sent outside by myself! I want my people out there with me. A fenced yard would be wonderful for playtime, games, and adventures together, but I’m happiest when I have my humans to share it with. ❤️ I’m also dog-friendly and wouldn’t mind having a playful canine friend, but truthfully, my favorite place is wherever my people are. 🥰 I’m looking for a special family who understands that I’m a big, enthusiastic boy with lots of energy. I need daily exercise, structure, consistency, and someone who will keep working with me through positive training. I promise I’m worth the effort! Marty (26-062) is a handsome Golden Retriever/Lab mix with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty of love to give! He is 3.5 years old. This tall athletic boy has settled wonderfully into his foster home and is showing everyone what a terrific companion he can be. Marty has medium-to-high energy and loves an active lifestyle. He enjoys roughhousing and playing with his resident dog friend, going on walks and runs with his foster mom, and—when it’s time to relax—curling up right on top of her on the couch. ❤️ This smart boy already knows many commands, including “down,” and he’s described as a wonderful house guest. He’s friendly with people and does well with children 12 and older. Marty previously lived with infants and toddlers and was good with them, but his size, tendency to jump up, and some guarding behavior make older children a better fit for his forever home. Marty does well with other dogs and would love a canine companion who enjoys a little energetic play. His history with cats is unknown, and because he has a high prey drive, a cat-free home may be the safest choice. Marty came into GRROW on August 23, 2026, and has already blossomed into a happy, loving, playful dog. He’s athletic enough to keep up on an adventure and affectionate enough to happily spend the evening snuggled beside you. If you're looking for a fun-loving, intelligent, affectionate companion who is ready to be part of an active family, Marty may be your guy! 🐶💛

**Oliver is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club and his adoption fee has been reduced** Oliver is a whole lot of dog with a whole lot of love to give. He’s a champion couch snuggler, enthusiastic toy wrestler and professional deliverer of big, wet kisses. His big stuffed Unicorn has lost countless wrestling matches to him, so clearly he takes his playtime seriously!When he first arrived, Oliver was shy when meeting new people and needed time to feel comfortable, but he`s made lots of female friends at DCHS. He is uncomfortable around men, so he is looking for a female-only household. Once Oliver trusts you, his sweet and affectionate personality really shines. During a recent six-night foster stay, he acclimated to his foster home and neighborhood right away, following his foster mom around the house and happily exploring alongside her. At night, he often slept beside her, sometimes snuggling and sometimes stretching out at the foot of the bed.Oliver is also house-trained and loves getting out for walks. His foster mom said he was excellent on their walks, calmly paying attention when they passed cars, people and other dogs without barking. He may occasionally pull on the leash, but he responds well to gentle corrections and treats. He knows commands including sit, stay, come, down, let`s go and treat, too!And when it comes to playtime, Oliver is all in. He loves toys and playing fetch, and his foster mom reports that he would happily bring the ball back over and over again. His squeaky stuffed donut toy is another favorite. When playtime is over, he knows how to relax, settling on the floor or curling up beside his person on the couch. Basically, Oliver has mastered the important parts of life: walks, fetch, snacks, snuggles and naps.Oliver has been waiting for a home since July. His ideal family is made up of only ladies ready to give this big, sensitive guy the time and encouragement he needs to build trust and confidence, along with plenty of walks, toys, couch time and love.He currently has a private room, so just ask our Adoption Center staff to meet him.Weight: ~ 92 lbsMedical: Oliver is a healthy dog, but it is always a good idea to take him to his new veterinarian to receive a full check-up and establish care.Restrictions: No male humans in the household due to fear and reactivity.
