Story
We prefer Daisy to be adopted with Duke. This chill duo were abandoned by their previous owner and are estimated to be 4 years old. Desert Willow took them in and immediately fell in love with them because it's impossible not to! Daisy and Duke are the most laid-back pups at the rescue. They are marginally interested in exercise, Duke more so than Daisy, and they enjoy a nice stroll to explore and sniff around. Their ideal activity, however, is cuddling up on the couch and showering you with kisses. They are wonderful with children! As excellent students, they are picking up on their training skills very quickly. They are both described by everyone as being so sweet and gentle. Daisy adores belly rubs, and will happily present her belly to anyone who may rub it! Duke loves beds – oh so much. He is very resourceful and will carry his bed around with him so that it’s always handy for a good nap. They are the perfect pair if you're looking for chill, kissy cuddlers. They offer an instant canine family.... just add you! No cats please. Reach out if you're interested!! Located in: Dane County, WI _____ Desert Willow Ranch and Rescue https://www.desertwillow.org/

Story
Meet Juno! She is a very energetic 1 year old girl who was rescued from a severe abuse and neglect situation in Lubbock, TX. She was found chained on a short chain in her backyard and was only 25lbs (she is 45lbs now and still has weight to gain!). Now, she is here at Desert Willow learning about freedom and love. She has done amazing with people and kids and is bursting at the seams with joy and love. She RUNS whenever she can, throws toys in the air and chases them, cuddles passionately and just wants to find her human. She may need to be an only dog at this point as she has had some bad experiences it appears, but she will be your true companion. She would be ideal for someone who is active and possibly enjoys hiking, running, and/or swimming. Come meet her! She is always ready to meet you! Story
Meet sweet, sweet Stella! Everyone who meets Stella immediately mentions how sweet she is. Stella is perhaps 2 years old. She was abandoned in Texas and she has been shy at first, but is opening up more and more each day as she is gaining confidence! She is being treated for a tick borne illness and is making a fabulous recovery and will be spayed shortly. Stella enjoys staring deeply into your eyes and snuggling up. If you stop petting her, she will paw you for more. She enjoys being involved and is showing us her playful side! She is medium energy. Stella has been great with the dogs she has met with us! She enjoys playing specifically with a pup named Huck on the ranch and they will curl up together. We think she would do well with kids, but perhaps kids who are not too boisterous as that may spook her a bit. Stella has not met a cat yet. Come meet Stella, share some pets, and fall in love!

Story
This beautiful girl is Gracie! Gracie is around 3 years old (or soon to be) and is about 30lbs. She was caught off the streets of TX with her dad, Dexter (DNA test confirmed!). Gracie arrived super scared, just like her sister Indie that we pulled off the streets a year before (again, DNA confirmed!). Gracie has been opening up and learning what it is like to be loved now that she is in a foster home. Dexter is looking for a home too, but they do not need to be adopted together. She is showing us her playful side and she is starting to really enjoy playing with toys! She likes to strut around with her toys showing them off. Her energy is the lower side of medium. As she continues to warm up, she may be medium energy. She really loves her naps!! She likes to cuddle up by pressing herself up against you! She has been doing amazing on walks and walks well on leash! She is being fostered with other dogs of all sizes and does well with them. She seems to get a lot of confidence from her dad, Dexter, in her foster home so we think she would do best in a home with another dog to continue learning from. She is scared of young kids (flees from them), but has done well with non-boisterous kids 10+ years old. She has met a dog-savvy cat and did great! Gracie will need a patient owner who can continue to help her learn to trust and blossom. She would do best in a home that does not have lots of visitors. In her foster home when it is just people she knows well and the other dogs, she is starting to become a "normal" dog. She is not crate trained, but she does well left in her room. Come meet Gracie and fall in love with her sweet, loving eyes and velvety fur! Her love is pure and earning her love is a beautiful blessing! Gracie's sister is adopted by a behavior consultant who is happy to continue helping Gracie's adoptive family thrive!

Story
Phoenix is such a fun, happy girl. She is approximately 2-3 years old. Her previous owner passed away and Phoenix and Koda needed a new home. They are not bonded and can be adopted separately. She is very people oriented and will often choose people over food! She loves playing with and chewing on toys. Phoenix is an active pup and loves to run around and play. Phoenix is the happiest pup! She always has a smile on her face and a zest for life and love! :) Phoenix is good with dogs and kids. We do not know about cats. Come take a walk with Phoenix and hang out with her and fall in love!
