Story
Meet Juno! She is a very energetic 1 year old girl who was rescued from a severe abuse and neglect situation in Lubbock, TX. She was found chained on a short chain in her backyard and was only 25lbs (she is 45lbs now and still has weight to gain!). Now, she is here at Desert Willow learning about freedom and love. She has done amazing with people and kids and is bursting at the seams with joy and love. She RUNS whenever she can, throws toys in the air and chases them, cuddles passionately and just wants to find her human. She may need to be an only dog at this point as she has had some bad experiences it appears, but she will be your true companion. She would be ideal for someone who is active and possibly enjoys hiking, running, and/or swimming. Come meet her! She is always ready to meet you! Story
Meet Frank! Frank is estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs about 8-10lbs. Formally a street boy, he has a new found love for couches! Frank is your perfect combo of playful and lounging - making him on the lower side of a medium energy level. He has been enjoying his walks, playing with toys, and taking naps. He immediately got along wonderfully with the dogs of all sizes in his foster home. He enjoys getting pets and is getting more cuddly as he has been settling in. Once he has gotten his fill of pets, he often goes to his favorite spot on a chair to snooze or lays next to one of the other dogs. He gets really happy to greet his foster when they come home. When his foster is gone for long periods, he is crated. But if they are gone just a short while, he is left out of a crate and has not been destructive! Frank can become overwhelmed with young kids, so we think an adult-only home or a quieter home with older kids (13+) would be ideal for him.

Story
Meet sweet, sweet Stella! Everyone who meets Stella immediately mentions how sweet she is. Stella is perhaps 2 years old. She was abandoned in Texas and she has been shy at first, but has opened up so much and has become a friendly gal with everyone on the ranch! Stella enjoys staring deeply into your eyes and snuggling up. If you stop petting her, she will paw you for more. She enjoys being involved and is showing us her playful side! She is medium energy. Stella has been great with the dogs she has met with us! She enjoys playing and has been spending most of her time with Phoenix, another pup on the ranch. We think she would do well with kids, but perhaps kids who are not too boisterous as that may spook her a bit. Stella has not met a cat yet. Come meet Stella, share some pets, and fall in love!

Story
Moose is a 7-pound, 6-year-old Chihuahua mix currently available for adoption. Rescued as a stray from Texas when he was about a year old.Moose is a fun-loving dog who needs an adult-only home. He can be cranky with children and doesn't appreciate loud noises. With slow, respectful introductions he loves people and other animals. Once comfortable, he is playful and friendly. He enjoys short walks, or sprinting through open fields, and playing with his toys. His favorite activity is snuggling under a blanket or in your lap. He is a great eater and does good riding in the car. He currently lives with two cats and does fine with the other dogs he meets. He prefers smaller dogs, though and loves a good game of chase. He is the ideal dog for a family with no children, or a single person looking for a companion. For more Moose pics, go to: https://photos.app.goo.gl/tuiRTAWjDLrbeLmX7

Story
**Courtesy post - please reach out to us and we will connect you with the right people!** Boddah & Maple are looking for a home together as their current mom is suffering from a severe medical condition with limited time to continue to care for the dogs. Below are their momma's notes on them. Boddah is the black and white male. He will be around five years old in August and I adopted him four years ago. He would need an experienced owner and a fenced yard. He absolutely loves to be pet and will melt down to the ground so you can rub his belly. As a Great Pyrenees he will survey his territory. He plays with Maple well, but can be rough with other dogs. He will bark at other dogs on leash and behind fences. A quieter area would be ideal for him, and some hands for belly rubs!! Maple is the brown and white female. She is almost 2 years old and I adopted her when she was about nine weeks old. She can be weary of strangers initially, but warms up quickly. She is not at all like the typical Great Pyrenees when it comes to how much she loves to play fetch and run around! She is very sweet and easily a best friend!! Please reach out if you think you are interested in Boddah & Maple!
