I was lost but now I'm so happy I was found! My name is Johnny and I was found by the side of a road in Hastings, all by myself. The folks at Animal Ark knew I needed help so here I am, as my owner was never found. I'm a friendly, 1 year old, male Lab/Boxer mix. I'm a big boy and weigh in at 85 pounds! I was scared when I first arrived because Shelter life is new to me, but the staff has done a great job of bringing me out of my shell. I love to try to get in their laps! Obviously, no one knows how I would get along with other animals or children, but I sure do like people! I'm hoping that someone will find it in their heart to give me another chance at finding just the right place to call home.

Being a Mom is never easy, especially when you're trying to raise 6 little mischievious pups! I'm Molly, mother of the "Harry Potter" puppies. We all came to Animal Ark from a reservation in Nebraska, so we've already put on some miles in an effort to find good homes. I'm a 2 year old female Lab mix who is a medium size gal, weighing about 43 pounds. I am super sweet and absolutely love being with people and after nursing my brood, I'm definitely ready to find my permanent family. I'm not sure how I would behave with cats and children, so a meeting with the whole family is what I would look forward too.

He is a Special Needs pup who has never noticed that he's a little different from his friends. He is a beautiful Lab mis, born around February, 2023. An actual diagnosis has been elusive though he has seen an orthopedic specialist. His back legs are just a bit "wonky". They have gotten stronger over time and he runs and plays with his friends just fine. Rocket is used to being the spoiled baby of our rescue. As a small pup, he'd be tuckered out after play time so he'd curl up with his blanket on his foster mom's lap. He still thinks he's an 8 pound puppy, though he weighs about 40 pounds now...and still insists on lap time. Who could say no to that? Rocket is dog friendly (always with proper introductions) and goes on daily off leash walks on our nature trail. He has fantastic recall and has been around horses quite a bit too! He loves playing with other dogs and his favorite outside toy is a stick or piece of firewood! Now, these are toys that he doesn't like to "share" and we always joke about how sticks are in short supply in the woods so all the dog friends want the stick that Rocket has. Rocket is up to date on vaccinations, healthy, neutered, kennel trained and microchipped. He would be an excellent addition to virtually any household!
