Dewy has been looking for his forever home for over 850 days now. To no fault of his own, he just has had some awful luck in his life. That is, until he was rescued! He is living it up in his foster home, but he deserves a forever home just like every dog does! Are you the person he has been waiting so long for? Dewy is a fawn colored pittie mix with beautiful brown eyes. He came from a horrible cruelty case where he learned humans can be unkind. He has a hard time trusting humans unless it’s his foster family who he’s learned is his safe space. While he doesn’t give off a good first impression, he is such a lover once you’re in his circle. He loves to play with his toys with his foster dad, run around with his foster sister and snooze on the couch. Mountain Dew (aka Dewy) is a handsome fawn colored pittie mix with beautiful golden eyes. He came to us from a hoarding situation with 20 other dogs where he had very little interaction with new people or strangers. He has since shown that he can build a strong bond with his family and that is really all he needs for a happy, healthy life. Dewey has a hard time trusting other humans, and it takes a while for him to understand there are other good humans out there. While he may not give off the best first impression, once he can learn to trust you-he’s all in. Dewy loves his canine foster sister and loves to play. He plays well with other dogs in doggy daycare as well and seems to be particularly fond of larger dogs. He loves playing with all his dog toys with his foster dad, cuddling on the couch with his human foster siblings and just wanting to be with his foster family. He is full of energy, enjoys long walks (he makes a great running partner), loves to learn, and works hard for rewards. Along with being a great outdoor companion he also enjoys lounging and relaxing indoors. He is crate trained, walks well on a leash, has good manners in the home, and learns quickly. While he is not a fan of strangers or house guests (who is??), he absolutely loves his family. Lily was given to us by a family member who could no longer take care of her. She cannot go back to them; but she needs an active family to surround her with love and exercise. Lily is a goofy, energetic 5 year old Pitbull whose shiny black coat has the cutest little areas of white. She loves to play in the yard, but is equally happy as a couch potato, sitting near or on you as you watch TV, play games, or nap. Lilly loves to go to doggy day care and play all day with the other playmates. Lilly does great with all members of her foster home but can get excited, so she might be best in a home with kids who are older, or with a family willing to teach her and her human siblings good boundaries. Jupiter was rescued because someone called the police when they saw him in a yard severely emaciated, barely able to walk. His body was covered in scabs and he was missing most of his fur. His skin has now healed, his fur is coming in thick and soft, and he is healthy and full of energy. He is understandably nervous in new situations and around people but he has formed a very strong bond with his foster family. Because of his nervousness, he needs a patient adopter, preferably someone who has experience with nervous dogs, and who already has a social dog that can help him learn to trust again. We think he would do best in a home without young children at this time. Jupiter is a dog's dog. He loves to play with other dogs and needs them for guidance. In his foster home, he lives with two females; one is 3 years old and the other is 11 years old, and he adjusts his play style to their preference. He has played with male dogs too and was great. He even met a very dog-savvy cat who swatted him when he got a little too curious after which Jupiter just ignored the cat. When Jupiter isn't playing, he likes to chew on his bones and toys or curl up for a nap. He has the most piercing golden eyes. His tail is fluffy and curly, and he has a slender build with long legs and soft silvery brown fur. He has white markings on his chest, under his chin and on his paws. His genetic makeup is a mystery... Maybe there is some Weimaraner in him? He loves praise and is very food motivated so he is a great student for training. He knows "Sit", "Down", "Kennel", "Wait", and "Shake" already. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night and is learning that a little crate time during the day is the perfect opportunity for a nice nap. When he plays, he makes these hilarious bird-dinosaur-gremlin noises. He is really silly and still getting the hang of his long body. What's so special about Jupiter is that despite his horrible past, he just wants to be loved. And there is nothing like it when he lets you into his heart and trusts you 100%. He is a curious goofy cuddle bug at heart. If you just pretend he is not there, he will eventually come over and check you out and before you know it, you'll be giving him chin scratches which may lead to him leaning into your hand so hard for neck scratches that he will fall over if you move. Soon, if you throw in some butt scratches too, he will love you forever. Jupiter would be a great playmate for a social dog who in turn could help him navigate this peopley world. He might need a few meetings with the right person but with patience and kindness, he will show you what an amazing dog he is! Udon is a handsome, athletic, white-and-brown pit. He is likely around 2-3 years old. Udon was found abandoned in a backyard/alley with no food or water. The finder said he had an injured back leg, but by how much he loves to play, you would never be able to tell he was hurt! Udon attended playgroup with several other dogs while he was at the shelter. While he was a little unsure at first, he found a rhythm during play time, and could potentially have a canine sibling with slow introductions. Udon is very food motivated and loves his toys. He would probably do best with older children who are respectful. Udon has a puppy playfulness and loves tennis balls, running around the backyard, and self-entertaining with squeaky toys. However, he is also great at settling down with a peanut butter Kong or taking a nap on his bed. Udon can catch treats mid-air! He is also very gentle taking treats and has a perfect sit. He is a perfect angel in his crate! He has a bright-eyed look, has a sweet energy, is a kind soul, and loves to be by his people. His life started out pretty rough, and he deserves a wonderful home.
