Story
Meet Rex – Your Loyal Companion Awaits! Rex is a special 8-year-old dog with a heart full of love to give. He was adopted from the Dallas Animal Shelter as a tiny two-month-old puppy and has been a faithful friend ever since. Unfortunately, his life took a turn when his owners were displaced, and he found himself living under a car for a long time. But even after enduring such hardship, Rex’s sweet nature has never wavered. Rex is a 40-pound boy who walks beautifully on a leash, goes into his kennel without a fuss, and has a calm, quiet demeanor. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, making him a remarkable companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. He’s also the perfect size—not too big to be in the way, but just right to snuggle up with you on the couch. While Rex did test positive for heartworms, he’ completed his 3 shot treatment. During this time , until Feb 1st., Rex will need a calm environment, but with his laid-back personality, this should be no problem at all. We’re committed to helping Rex find a loving home where he can experience the comfort and care he deserves. Rex is looking for either a forever home or a foster home where he can stay safe, warm, and loved. He’s spent too much time without the comforts of a home, and it’s time for him to know what it’s like to be cherished indoors, whether it’s in the cool air conditioning during the summer or by the heater in the winter. Please consider giving Rex the life he’s always deserved. Meet this incredible dog, and you’ll see why he’s one of our favorites. Fill out an adoption or foster application today, and let Rex show you the true meaning of unconditional love. Adoption fee is $225 Dallas TX https://chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
Everyone, meet Confetti! We call her Betty (or Elizabeth, when she’s in trouble) and she’s a 7M old mystery mix who is very petite, energetic and friendly. We aren’t sure of her heritage, but she looks on track to be about 35-40 lbs as an adult. Betty, is a hard worker who does things her way, and loves running around the yard, playing with everyone, and having the best time! Confetti’s life has not gone super great so far, to be honest, and she has come a long way from the terrified puppy who was abandoned in a park on New Year’s Eve! At home, Betty is a happy girl with tons of energy to play. She is crate trained and 95% house trained and her favorite things in life are playing with other dogs and going on walks. She currently lives with 2 older children and 2 large dogs, and her besties are a 7 year old boy and a pitbull. Confetti is incredibly smart and easy to train. She is not a big barker and knows basic commands. She’s very independent and happy to entertain herself with a bone or toy, and will not destroy your house. All that said, Confetti is still very scared in new places with lots of people, cars, and noise. She has simply not had the history of socialization to give her the confidence to navigate those scenarios without fear. She takes a few minutes to warm up to a new person, but we think that is ok and a very smart survival strategy at this point in her life. She is still very young and making progress every week, but our hope is that her new family will not love her less if she never gets to the point where she’s the life of your holiday party. Our dream for Confetti would be a family who is seeking a friend for a playful dog, or someone who likes long walks and has a yard where she can play safely. At this time, we don’t think she would be a good fit for an apartment complex due to her fear of cars and commotion. Lets Review: ✅ Dogs and older kids ✅ Hanging out at home ✅ Long walks ✅ Cuddling ❌ Music festivals ❌ Public speaking ❌ Busy streets ❌ Large crowds Let me know if you have questions about my friend! All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Sage is a sweetheart and cuddle bug. Sage grew up on a farm in Hallsville, Texas for her first 2 years. She then moved to Lake Caddo in Karnack, Texas and lived on the water. She roamed free all day playing in the lake. She grew up with a Chihuahua and is NOT A SINGLE DOG. She must have a playmate, which she has currently, Huckleberry, also up for adoption. Sage was adopted by me and my wife during COVID. Her owners were getting old and could not keep up with her high energy needs. We adopted her and moved her to Rowlett to live with us and our other dog. Sage went on walks everyday, sometimes twice a day. I work 12 hour days so she is cooped up in the house all day with her brother who is crate trained. I can't do that to her. She loves people, loves kids, and wants to be around them. She is a talker so when you get home she is going to greet you and talk to you for a minute or two while you pet her. Sage is not an alpha.
