My name is Lobo (that means WOLF in Spanish) I am 8 years old.My parents adopted me at 3 months. I was the cutest one of the bunch. My parents tried their very best but I’m headstrong and stubborn and my humans lost their home so I won’t have a backyard soon.I love walks, I love playing fetch. I only eat kibble and I enjoy an ocasional dog bone here and there. Only problem? I get upset at other dogs and enjoy being the only one in Alpha Mode. I love to escape backyards and to venture outside. Once I get to know you I give kisses upon request in English or Spanish. Female humans and I get along better than male humans. I am ready to keep you busy if you’ll have me! Let’s play ball!

Story

Zoey was the last of her litter to find a home. It came down to her and her sister, Elsa, and they were at risk of being taken to a shelter. My fiancé and I stepped in to adopt Zoey, while my parents took Elsa. Zoey is a vibrant, playful dog who loves kids, especially when they laugh; it’s like she’s putting on a show just for them. She used to love other dogs too, until a difficult encounter with an older dog (also rescued from a rough environment) left her shaken. Since then, she’s been more guarded around dogs and seems to trust humans more. Even with her sister, we reintroduce them slowly until she feels comfortable again. Zoey truly puts the “Z” in zoomies and never fails to make us laugh with her goofy expressions.

Rosey is a very smart, obedient and high energy dog. She needs both daily physical exercise and mental stimulation daily. We rescued her from a family member so she would not be forced into the local pound/shelter, but unfortunately, our circumstances have changed with my work load and our newborn. Our time throughout the day is very limited and that has become unfair to her although very hard on us. She needs to be with a family that truly has time to walk, give her an opportunity for physical exercise and continue training her daily. She is crate trained. We’d highly recommend her be adopted by a family with previous pitbull terroir experience, who is familiar with high energy dogs. She is an amazing dog with a big personality and deserves a family who can commit to her.
