Story
Guten Tag (Hello in German) I am Josie, a very smart, 70 lbs., three-year-old girl, with classic GSD coloring.  My fosters have been very patient with me. When they have guests, I love to meet and play with them. I was enrolled in a training program to improve my behavior around other dogs while on walks. I have improved, but still need practice. I understand heel, stay, and sit, the basics of being a good girl. I am working on being a better passenger, learning to relax and not get overly excited. Some of my favorite things are walks, playing with my toys, and napping in the sun. I love when my foster parents say, “Get a toy, Josie, and let’s play.” I run over to my toy box and throw a few out until I find my favorite. I have access to the yard through a doggie door, so my foster parents don’t have to get up to take me out to relieve myself. At night, I am not crated, although I have access to it. I quietly check on my family. I am very good at getting into my crate when they need to go shopping or to other appointments. I just nap and wait for them to return with lots of kisses. My best home would be with active people. I have never been around children, so I cannot say how I might behave. It will be best for me to be the only dog. I am really looking for a committed family because I know I have lots of potential and want an opportunity to prove how loving and wonderful I can be. If I sound like the girl you are looking for, I would love to meet you. You can ask my foster parents any questions you may have about me. I know they will miss me, but we are all excited for me to find my forever family.May 23, 2026, 6:29 pm

Story
Scar is a handsome, young, 90+ lb lap dog. He is well-behaved in the house, potty-trained, and can be left alone loose for a few hours (so far). He rides well in the car, barks only occasionally, and only chews on his toys. He has knowledge of the commands: “come”, “sit’, ‘down”, “out”, “leash’, and knows his name. He is enthusiastic and gentle with adults, even strangers. He hasn’t met many children yet. He lives with a 6-year-old foster sister whom he lets push him around in play. We do not know his behavior with cats, but he seems to have a very low prey drive. His foster parents describe him as energetic, affectionate, outgoing, curious, and playful. Scar is: Energy Level 3-Your Basic Shepherd: Needs daily exercise and play time. Some walking/hiking/training, and/or fetch will round out their day and allow them to settle in the evening. Temperament Level 3-Comfortable with most people, may be under-socialized, may have some prey drive, separation anxiety, and/or leash reactivity, and may not be suitable for small children. Takes well to training.May 23, 2026, 6:29 pm

Story
B is an incredible dog. Half Saluki and half Vizsla. We adore him. Unfortunately two out of 5 of us in the family serious allergies that we have not been able to get under control. He needs space to roam and run, and lots of love! He needs to be appreciated for the intelligent and regal dog he is. Continued intelligent training is a good idea although he is at this point easy. Still a puppy - goofy, grabs things he shouldn't here and there now and then but not often - but listens, sleeps, connects, does all the right things. He needs two intense periods of activity a day (hikes, walks, beach) plus play and interaction. He is good in the car. A Velcro dog. Seeking mature experienced people - hope to stay friendly and get occasional updates ❤️. High adoption fee in order to get serious adopters only. Beef allergy - loose stools. Chicken / fish ok.

Story
Charley is a normal puppy with normal puppy behavior. Charley is not aggressive in any way, and loves to snuggle in various pretzel positions. She responds well to being in her crate with a nice soft bone, and can sit nicely while being presented with her food. She takes treats nicely. Charley plays well with her two foster siblings, and takes direction from them appropriately. She likes toys and plays with them, but does not yet seek them out.   Her potty training is not yet 100% complete, but there have been no problems with her using the designated area for her potty business.  We are still awaiting her definitive  “signal” letting us know that she has to go. When taken out overnight, Charley immediately peed and pooped and after a quick sip of water, went right back to her crate and resumed sleeping.  If left unattended, Charley will counter-surf, and this is being addressed and corrected consistently.  Part of this is that Charley is very excited and engaged and really wants to know all that is her surroundings.  She is quite focused and observant, and does not react to loud noises like zooming cars and roto-tillers. Charley is: Energy Level 4-Shep on a Mission: This dog needs daily exercise, training, and play. They will need to be taught to settle. S/he may be destructive if not exercised/worked enough. All puppies under 8 months are Level 4. Temperament Level 4-In addition to Level 3 behaviors (Comfortable with most people, may be under-socialized, may have some prey drive, separation anxiety, and/or leash reactivity, and may not be suitable for small children. Takes well to training.): Cautious, may not be comfortable with all types of people, has fear or anxiety issues, wary of other dogs. Needs a skilled handler with GSD experience.May 23, 2026, 6:29 pm
