Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: September 4, 2012 Size:  50lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING GWEEB On September 9th, 2012, we were notified of a bad situation. A man in Tucker, GA really needed our help as he rents a room in a house and had 16 Pit Bull/American Bulldog mixes. This included a new born litter that was just days old. All 16 of these dogs were living outside and none of them were fixed, vaccinated, or de-wormed. This man was overwhelmed and he was unable provide for the dogs so he gladly signed over 14 dogs and we vetted the 2 he wanted to keep. Gweeb was one of the pups from the litter that was only a few days old. Gweeb’s mother was a fantastic mom, but his litter surely would have died living outside in those conditions with her being so malnourished. ABOUT GWEEB The best word to describe The Gweeb is awkward. He was the runt of a litter of 7 puppies and is awkward in everything that he does. Gweeb lives in foster care with multiple other dogs and is fantastic with them as he is generally submissive. He is a real goofball and is sure to clown around and keep you laughing with his awkward antics. He is very emotionally attached, attentive, and loves to be with people. This guy is a serious cuddle-bug! He will chase a tennis ball through the yard, but hasn’t quite learned how to fetch yet. Sometimes his top lip will get stuck and his bottom canine tooth will peek out in the silliest ways. Gweeb is housebroken and crate trained.  Since Gweeb has been in his foster home for close to 10 years we have made him a permanent member of the FTTF Pack so he is no longer up for adoption.   Photo Album of Gweeb: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.523012947756876.1073741849.162554320469409&type=1&l=a6dc542985 More VIDEOS of Gweebie: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYDnJXruR1h3EyXeE1eQfeZ_sLZ7hx8r0www.savingpitbulls.orgJune 7, 2023, 3:21 pm

Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: April 17, 2010 Size:  65lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING TONYA Tonya was taken into animal control as a stray on 3/31/2013. After spending 16 days in AC, her time was up and she was on that day's euthanasia list at Fulton County. We pulled Tonya with only 2 hours to spare on April 16, 2013 and she has been living with us ever since. At the shelter, Tonya had an injury to her rear right paw and a horrible case of kennel cough/upper respiratory infection.  Animal Control gave her medicine to kill the maggots that had filled her nasty wound on her right rear paw. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and she tested negative for heartworms. Tonyas foot has also completely healed and she is a happy, healthy girl. ABOUT TONYA Tonya obviously knew what it is like to live in a house as she immediately jumped up on the couch and made herself at home. She is one sweet girl. She jumped right up into the car, enjoyed her bath, hoarded some bones, ate her dinner, and went into her crate on her own to go to sleep. Not only does Tonya have the best pittie smile in town, she has the silliest, most amazing ears. This girl is packed full of personality and she loves toys. She is crate trained, housebroken, loves people, loves to play, and is good with kids. Tonya would love an active family. She would be a great hiking companion and would love a family to teach her new tricks as she is very smart. She is very confident and is all about making her people happy. Tonya would do best as an only dog and she it not suited for a home with cats. Tonya is a strong, active lady and she will require a secure, 6' privacy fenced yard where she can play with her family and maybe chase a squirrel or two or a person who is strong and willing to work on her leash manners. She is such an incredible lady and is sure to put a smile on your face! Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullCant Adopt? Apply to Foster Kali Today!Breed: Pit Bull Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: May 23, 2012 Size:  50lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING KALI In June 2012, 3 puppies were dumped at Animal Control. They were only a few days old and without a mom so their chances of survival were slim. The next day, Animal Control brought in a lactating female. Although she may or may not have been the real mom, she stepped up to the challenge. The mom and AC Staff did everything they could, but 2 pups died. The wonderful people at Animal Control reached out to us and agreed to hold the mom and the surviving female puppy for a few weeks until we could pick them up. The mom was treated for heartworms. The puppy,Kali, was a healthy girl. ABOUT KALI Kali has a zest for life and she loves toys! She'll zoom around with any toy you give her. She is completely happy to run around with a ball in her mouth all afternoon. Kali is a bundle of fun-loving energy that would enjoy any activity as long as she is with her people. She would be a fantastic running or hiking partner. She would even just be happy to chase the ball around the yard for you. Seriously, this girl could play fetch for days. Playing fetch with a Chuck-It would be a dream for her. Kali has done well with other submissive male dogs that can handle her energy. Kali would do best in a home with older children, 13 and up. Her best friend, Teddy, and her mother have both been adopted and Kali is patiently waiting for her fun-loving family to arrive. This girl is full of vigor, smiles, and personality! She would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but with proper introductions and the right canine match she would likely be okay with a canine companion. Photo Album of Kali: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531860010205503.1073741859.162554320469409&type=1&l=eff6e419eb Our adoption fee is $300. Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Pit Bull Mix Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: August 9, 2015 Size:  48lbs Location: Dallas, GA RESCUING RIBLETT Riblett, formerly known as Kate, was picked up as a stray and taken to Gwinnett County Animal Services. She had been hit by a car so on top of being emaciated at merely 20 lbs and filled with worms, she also had a badly fractured hip. We had a foster home open up for a young female puppy so when GCAS reached out to us for help, we just so happened to have the perfect foster home for this little girl. Riblett got her freedom ride and we rushed her over to our vet at New Hope Animal Hospital. After Ribletts pelvis healed, she had FHO surgery on her hip to remove the ball of her femur and allow her to heal more quickly and have less pain. She also had a TPLO on her knee.  ABOUT RIBLETT Riblett, whom we affectionately call Roo, is a funny girl that likes to play catch me until she sees you have treats, then she comes running and sits at your feet. She loves to run and play, but she is also especially sweet and loving. Riblett needs to be the only pet in the home, but she would make the most adorable and incredible solo companion. She loves her people and has been waiting a long time for a forever family to scoop her up and make her life complete!
