Story
LOVERBOY SEEKS FAMILY FOR ALL THE CUDDLESThis sweet, wiggly, tail-waggy boy is Aslan. We don`t know his story, or how he got his scars. When he arrived at the shelter these marks already seemed to be old. But they don`t bother him a bit - and he loves, LOVES people and affection!Aslan is living in a foster home with 3 small dogs and a cat, and has done great! (His foster family say he would do very well in a home with a cat, and that their smallest dog (5 lbs) is his favorite to sleep next to.)Aslan needs virtually no warmup time with strangers - he loves meeting people. He loves climbing into laps. He loves sleeping with his head on your shoulder or leg. He`s one of the lovingest dogs I`ve ever met.Although he loves to be close to his people, he does well when left alone and is quiet in a crate. He`s house-trained and has had no accidents. He`s very treat-motivated, knows `sit`, and is working on other commands - he really enjoys training as it means treats and attention from his people. He`s an easy-peasy boy who just wants someone who will keep him safe. (And pet him a lot.)You can reach Aslan`s foster family through the `I`m interested` link. This boy is ready to be home!

Story
Smokey is the sweetest boy! He is a middle-aged, mellow man at 5 years old. He loves to relax on the couch and watch TV and be with his people. He truly loves all people and greets strangers with happy tail wags. He is crate trained and potty trained and now sleeps in bed at night, but will also sleep on a dog bed if that’s preferred. He is integrated in his foster home very well with the other large resident dog. He loves to play with toys and roam around the backyard and just be with his family. He really is a great and easy dog to have. His foster family says he is a great companion.

Story
Meet Marsha, a super smart, playful, medium-sized pup with polka dot ears, a goofy personality, and a heart full of affection. She loves to play, whether it`s with people, dogs, or just with her toys (she absolutely LOVES toys). She can make anything a fun game, but will also settle down to cuddle and give lots of kisses. She’s easy to take on walks as she’s easy on a leash and is easily and quickly corrected (plus she loves walks too!).Marsha is extremely treat motivated and has already mastered sit, paw, down, stay, and stand, and place (going to sit on her bed). She’s also learned how to use talking buttons for “potty” and “hungry”! She knows to go to the door when she needs to go out, but if someone does not notice her asking, she will use the “potty” button to make sure you hear her. And with her “hungry” button, she’ll never let you forget when it’s time for breakfast or dinner. At her last foster, she was used to eating dinner everyday at 6 on the dot, so after daylight savings, she was so funny and got a little bossy with her “hungry” button when 5:15 rolled around.Marsha is generally very friendly meeting people but will sometimes take a couple minutes to warm up to new faces, but once she does, she is ready to cuddle and play and give as many kisses as she can! She`s had several positive experiences playing with dogs and enjoys spending time with dog friends who like to play just as much as she does! She would very likely do well having another dog to play with (as long as they are not dominant and have a similar rough play style). If you`re looking for a playful, loyal pup to join you in all your adventures, Marsha could be the perfect fit!

Story
Meet Smudge!Smudge is a sweet, gentle boy who warms up to new people quickly—especially men! He’s friendly and easygoing, with no food or toy aggression. Smudge prefers the company of female dogs and those his size, as he’s not a fan of smaller dogs or male dogs of similar stature. His play style can be a bit rough, so he does best with well-socialized dogs who can give him clear corrections. While he enjoys canine company, he can get overwhelmed in large groups and would do best in a home that avoids dog parks. One of Smudge’s favorite things in the world is car rides! Whether it’s a quick trip or a long road adventure, he’s a fantastic passenger. He’s also house-trained, though he may need a potty break if left alone for more than six hours during the day.Smudge is smart, eager to please, and extremely food-motivated. He’s been working on basic commands like sit, stay, and leave it and is making great progress! With an experienced handler, his training could go even further.More than anything, Smudge loves spending time with his people—whether you’re out and about or just relaxing at home. He’s the perfect companion for cozy movie nights and everyday adventures alike.Could Smudge be your new best friend?

Story
June has the sweetest face!June is pretty timid in the shelter and seems overwhelmed here - she`ll even pull to go back into her kennel because all this noise is scary. But she`s a very sweet, mature girl who has been calm and gentle with both people and other dogs. When out on a walk, she`ll sit or lay down patiently next to her person when they have to stop to talk to someone. And in doggy playgroup, she is shy and sweet - mostly keeping herself but hanging out just fine with other gentle dogs.June has been noted to be a `super holder` in her kennel, meaning she waits long periods of time in between potty breaks, so we think she may be house trained. She knows `sit` and enjoys an easy walk with lots of sniffs, and a few pets or scratches as well. Please come meet June and see if she`s the gentle soul you`ve been waiting for!
