Story
Hi! My name is Pagani and I am looking for a very special forever home! I am very shy and timid when I first meet people... but once I'm comfortable and know you're nice I will love you unconditionally! I LOVE to snuggle, but I also LOVE to run and play with all of my foster siblings. I love to hide my bones and treats to save for later, sometimes I even burry them. I can jump really really really high. My foster mom calles me jumping bean (I don't get it). My foster mom also calls me sassy, which I totally get that one. I have a lot of energy and I feel safest and most comfortable with another dog around, so I really want my forever family to have another dog that can show me the ropes and how to trust my new family. I'm still growing and I'm still learning about a lot of things. I do know that I absolutely do not like the thing that cleans up my messes!! I think it's called a vaccum cleaner?? I am learning to be independent and explore, so I'm just now confident enough to explore our backyard with my foster siblings. I know how to potty on those squares my foster mom puts in the floor for me, but I am starting to potty in the grass as well! I'm not going to be very big when I'm all grown up, but don't worry I can hold my own! Some of my foster siblings are 3 times my size and we play like crazy. I prefer to have a sibling young enough that can keep up with my silly/crazy play style. I went through a phase where my foster mom made me sleep in a metal thing until I stopped pottying in the wrong places and I HATED IT. I get to sleep in the bed with her now and I love to cuddle and keep her warm. Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  ##1818768##

Story
Hi! My name is Lotus - I also go by sweet girl, ducky, and treats! I absolutely love to cuddle and give kisses, but I am also very timid and shy around new people... I can't help but nervous pee a little bit when I'm feeling overwhelmed. I am looking for a family that will be patient with me while I learn to adjust to the new people and a new space. Once I'm comfortable - I love being silly goofy me! My foster mom and I play a game called fetch with my little tennis ball and I love it so so much! I love to bring her toys and treats and she helps me hide them for later. I got pretty great with learning how to potty outside using a doggy door, but the outside scares me sometimes so I still use potty pads inside. I LOVE other dogs! I have lots of foster siblings of allllll sizes and we have an absolute blast playing tug of war, wrestling, and singing. I really really hate being alone, so I sleep in the bed with my foster family and I get up and potty on potty pads if I need to go in the middle of the night. My foster mom calls me her little heater since I keep her nice and toasty at night. If my new home has another dog they need to be able to correct me and put up with my puppy play style - my super old foster brother does not like me very much because I play too rough for him. He's so boring. I love sweaters, bones, big teddy bears, and watching tv. If I get scared I will find a really good hiding spot until I feel safe, so my new home needs to have a fenced in yard so I don't get lost! If you have a nice warm home with lots of love and snuggles to give .. I'm your girl!  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  ##1817165##

Story
Meet Althea, a charismatic 4-year-old setter/spaniel mix who is ready to find her new family!  She has calm gentle nature, is good with dogs and enjoys cuddle time with the cats.  With her sweet personality and playful nature Althea would enjoy having another spirited dog of similar size in the home that shares her enthusiasm exploring the outdoors and up for a couple zummies in the backyard.  After playtime comes welcomed chill time with the family. Althea has proven house manners, good indoor energy level, plays only with her toys and content to lounging or sofa snuggling, when invited.  Althea is a quick study to learn new things, already knows and responds to basic commands. She enjoys car rides, going for walks and her happy place aside from snuggled close by your side is a hike or camping adventure. Althea would be thrilled to have a family who shares her love for outdoorsy activities and dedicated to provide her with plenty of exercise, enrichment and lots of cuddles.  She is affectionate and will be a loyal family girl but will keep watchful eye with strangers. Althea may appear shy, guarded at first with strangers, but don’t let that fool you! With patience and understanding once you give approval will embrace your friends. Given Althea’s need to gain confidence and trust with new people and surroundings will do best with experienced, dog savvy home with adults or older teenagers.  Althea is a sweetheart and will bring a lifetime of joy to the right family. Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes.
