Story
Joy is the survivor of abuse so every home won't work for her. She is as sweet as can be but is not good meeting new people. A busy household would not be the right fit. Joy lives with cats, other dogs and even a bunny. The bunny is her favorite as she will sometimes steal greens and carrots from him. Joy is very playful and energetic and loves to go on walks. She is the perfect companion dog. She was born in 2020, is about 50 lbs and is fully vetted.  ##1520292##

Story
We adopted him from the humane society and have had for about 2 years. He is 3 years old. Ghost is very rowdy and he’s not trained, but he’s good with kids and doesn’t bite. He loves to go swimming and just to run. The home we are looking for is someone who is able to give him lots of love and time to do all the things he loves.

Story
Bentley is so loving and loyal. He is so chilled but alerts you when someone is approaching the house - a true protector. He has been the love of my life for 9 years since his birth and unfortunately my job is requiring me to travel abroad and Bentley needs a stable loving parent and/or family. He is motivated by snacks - his favorite is sweet potato doggie treats. He loves to play - wants you to pretend you’re taking his favorite toy away from him - he loves it! I feel so loved and safe in his presence and you will to. He deserves the absolute best parent(s) who can give him the love and care.

Story
Meet Teagan! Update from Teagan's foster mom: Teagan is a very sweet girl that has settled in very quickly and is doing great with her foster brothers. She rarely barks, sleeps through the night on her dog bed in the bedroom, and learned the dog-door in just a few minutes. With a good walk each day, she's ready to settle in for a long nap and even goes in her crate just to hang out. She's going to make someone an amazing companion. Teagan is a (almost) 7 year old, female Weimaraner that loves to give kisses and cuddle. Teagan and her brother, Jett are in rescue due to a change in accommodations and their family is unable to have them at their current location. Teagan & Jett were staying with friends on their farm and spend most of their time outdoors. Teagan & Jett will be adopted separately. Teagan is good with kids of all ages and submissive male dogs (no female dogs)- but definitely not cats. She loves to give kisses and to be loved on! She loves to ride in the car and really loves water and swimming!! Don't let her age fool ya, she is active and would do great as an exercise companion! Does Teagan sound like she's a fit for you? Complete an application on our website at www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org and one of our volunteers will contact you!

Story
Meet Xander! Unfortunately, Xander has been diagnosed with heartworms and will be getting his first injection on August 10th (after 30 days of Doxycyline). Xander will need a foster home that can keep him calm during his treatment for 30 days. PLEASE, if you can step up for Xander, he'd be most grateful as he is currently in boarding. Xander is a male, neutered, 1.5 year old Weim/Lab Mix or possibly a Silver Lab that is transferring into our rescue from Sport Dogs Life Rescue hoping that we can find a great home for him! If you are looking for a perfect hiking companion, this is your guy! Xander is everything you'd want a young pup to be! He loves being outside and he loves to play with other dogs. He even tolerates the family cat! He is good with kids, but sometimes his exhuberance can be overwhelming, so he will need to learn some manners! He LOVES the water and can't help himself around a pool and wants to jump in and splash around! He's a youngster, so he needs an active family that will give him the exercise he needs and invest in some basic training so that he can be your best friend! Xander is up to date on vaccines & neutered! If you are interested in Xander, please send an application on our website at www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org
