Story
Betty has been with us since October. I found her at about six months old after she had been abandoned on a nearby property with another dog. She was severely malnourished, which likely stunted her growth, and she is now a medium-sized dog. Despite her rough start, Betty is a quick learner. She is potty trained, crates on command, and knows sit, come, and shake. She may be a little shy when meeting new people but warms up within a few minutes. Betty loves playing with other dogs and especially enjoys playing fetch with children. She is a sweet, smart dog who would make a wonderful companion.

Zeus was given to me by a family friend because he had to much energy for their toddler (who was just learning to walk) . Zeus is very spunky, very playful, loves to run . Zeus is a very good cuddler , he is good around older children (ages 4+) he is an escape artist, some may say Houdini. But overall he’s a very good fur baby !

She absolutely cannot be around cats , or live stock. Unfortunately I cannot keep her or her fur bestie Zeus because of my living situation & I need to rehome them ASAP . She is fixed !!

Story
I acquired my dog when they were first born and they’ve been a loving part of my life ever since. From the start, they showed a gentle and affectionate nature, quickly settling into home life and becoming a loyal companion. My dog is currently 2 years old and has an easygoing personality. He appreciates routine, comfort, and a peaceful environment where they can truly relax. They do best with people who enjoy a laid-back companion and understand the joy of simply sharing space together. In a new home, I’m looking for a place where my dog will be treated like family—one filled with patience, kindness, and plenty of soft spots to nap. A calm household where they can feel secure, loved, and unhurried would be ideal. If I had to describe my dog in just a few words, I’d say they are gentle, affectionate, calm, loyal, and sweet-natured.

Story
Bear is an 8 month old male Australian Cattle Dog mix, whose adorably expressive ears and hopeful smile are sure to win your heart! He is a shy, tender-hearted pup who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Bear was a young puppy when brought into the shelter with his siblings, so he has basically grown up without knowing the comforts of a home. Yet Bear has so many wonderful traits that will make him an amazing companion, with his lovable nature, adorable playfulness, and gentle spirit. Plus he is young and eager to learn from his human friends. Bear doesn’t ask for much, simply hoping to find a loving family to call his own … the ones who will give him the security and love to allow him to blossom into the loyal devoted companion he was born to be! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA.
