Story
Handsome, happy, and ready to be your new best friend! ?? I’m Jameson, a guy with a big zest for life and an even bigger love for fun. One of my favorite things is leaning into you for good body rubs and scratches — I soak up affection like a pro. I enjoy fetch, toys, tug-of-war, and long walks, and I’d love a human friend to share adventures with. After a bit of exercise, I’m more than happy to relax with you and enjoy some serious snuggle time. I also get along well with other dogs, especially ones my size who like playful, rowdy fun. I’ve lived happily indoors, am house trained, know “come” and other basic commands, and I’m continuing to learn more. I’m friendly, social, and love everyone I meet. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving gentleman with lots of love to give, I might just be your guy.

Story
Hi, I'm Lucy! I'm a sweet and loving girl ready to find my perfect forever home. I have great house manners—I’m housetrained and can be left loose when no one is home. I adore my people and thrive in a calm, patient environment where I can feel safe and loved. I’m strong on the leash but eager to learn, so with a little guidance, I’ll be a great walking buddy. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who already has the basics down, I’d love to meet you!

Story
Meet Gingersnap, a gentle soul who has overcome more than most dogs do in a lifetime. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation in the Ozarks where she survived harsh elements and unsafe conditions, Gingersnap has spent the last few months being a devoted mother in her foster home. Now that her puppies have grown and she’s been spayed, she is finally ready to prioritize herself. While her past was filled with neglect, her future is a blank slate—she just needs a patient family to help her fill it with love and security. Because of her history, Gingersnap is quite shy and still learning that humans can be a source of comfort rather than fear. She is dog-friendly and truly shines when she has a canine companion to lean on; in fact, she would benefit greatly from a social, happy "sibling" dog to show her the ropes and boost her confidence. If you have a quiet home and a heart big enough to help this resilient girl blossom, Gingersnap is waiting to start her real life with you. Gingersnap would do best in a home without young children.

Story
Hi, I’m Volo! I’m a sweet, skinny guy with a soulful face, brown-tinted paws, and the funniest brown fur on the lower half of my tail. Yup, I am quite unique! I’m very treat and toy motivated (I love them!) and I know sit, paw, down, and touch and I'm eager to show off my good manners. I’ll happily sit just in case a treat might appear. I’m friendly, affectionate, and I love cuddling, belly rubs, and cozy blankets. A few volunteers even added me to their favorites list after getting to know me! I’ve lived indoors with adults and kids before and did well, but I do best with older kids since I can resource guard food and toys. I’ve never bitten anyone, and I do well with proper management. I also have some separation anxiety and don’t do well in crates. I’m a very nice boy with a big heart, looking for the right home to help me shine. Come and meet me soon?

Story
Gentle boy looking for a confident dog sibling and dog savvy forever family! Meet Fletcher who needs a little time and understanding. He is shy, quiet, and reserved by his nature and might have been overlooked with so many other dogs to compete with. He has been living in a foster home but could use more space to exercise (the foster has a very small yard) and a confident dog to live with to be a bridge between him and humans. He is very sweet and we just know there is a tremendous personality in there! We even see it on the baby monitor when he doesn't know we are watching. He plays and tosses his toys around- even wags a beautiful tail all around. He just needs to find his forever home and start healing. He is currently in a foster home. Please call Tails at 815-758-2457 or email info@tailshumanesociety.org to schedule a time to meet him at the fosters home.
