Story
Mystic is a 5-month old Husky Mix. She was found wandering in a field and brought to a shelter. Fortunately, Mystic is confident and likes to take in the world around her. She is inquisitive and a quick learner!. She skillfully uses her front paws/feet to tap arms, hands, heads and legs to say hi, get attention or play. She is also a determined, fast digger. She enjoys playing, outsmarting and hanging out with our dog who is almost a year old. She is interested in our cats and has learned not to bark at them but the puppy in her and her Clydesdale prance at times keep them mostly at bay. That same prance is used when playing with her favorite squeaky toy. Mystic is loving, affectionate and caring with all. She does not like to be left alone and does well with at least a human or another dog. She has puppy energy but naps well too. Mystic is housebroken. She is crate trained. She loves to take walks and is great on a leash. She also loves to run free in our fenced backyard. She is fast and nimble so needs to be closely monitored outside in part due to her digging. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $300. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Willoughby is a 2 1/2 year old, 33 pound male terrier mix. He is a sweet pooch who is very well behaved. He has excellent house manners and is fully housebroken. He is friendly to everyone he meets including other dogs, cats and kids. In his foster home he gets along well with an elderly dog. At the dog park he runs, jumps and plays joyfully with other dogs. Then he rests and snuggles quietly on the couch. Willoughby would do well in a home with a 5’ fenced in yard. Kids and another dog would be a bonus. If you would like to meet Willoughby, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Meet RicoSmall dog... BIG personality!Rico is a 1 y/o chihuahua with all the classic puppy traits- busy, curious, a little dramatic, and very sure of himself. He originally came to us as a stray and was quickly adopted, but he`s now back because his previous (senior) adopter realized this young guy has more energy than she could keep up with.Let`s be real- Rico is NOT a purse pup. He`s a go-go-go kind of guy who wants to explore, play, and be involved in everything you`re doing. He`s needy in that `I must be part of your life at all time` way, and yes... he can be a little grumpy if you wake him up suddenly (honestly, same). The good news? He snaps out of it quickly with a simple `no` and goes right back to being his spunky self.Rico is currently working on potty pad training along with regular outdoor breaks and is making progress. He`s indifferent to cats and hasn`t shown any concerns with other dogs so far. He`s also still pretty mouthy, as many puppies are, so a home without small children is a must while he continues learning that teeth aren`t for communication.Rico may be small, but adopting him is a big commitment. He needs a patient, consistent home that understands puppy energy doesn`t disappear overnight. We want his next home to be his forever home- no more bouncing around.Underneath the sass and mischief is a loyal little companion who just needs someone willing to guide him, grow with him, and love him through his puppy phase. If you`re ready for a tiny dog with a huge personality- and an even bigger need for commitment- Rico might be your guy.
