Story
Meet Cocoa — the sweetest senior girl around 💕 At 12 years old, this 60lb lap dog still has a serious pep in her step — and plenty of strength to keep up on short adventures! She’s proof that old ladies absolutely can learn new tricks. Cocoa is currently learning leash manners since she’s a strong girl who sometimes struggles to contain her excitement. She already knows basic commands like sit, down, paw, and stay (for a few seconds). She’s fully housetrained, loves napping in her crate, and is happiest when she has a good chew bone and some sunshine. A fenced yard would be her dream because this girl LOVES being outside. Her favorite hobby? Covering you in kisses and climbing directly into your lap for cuddles. She’s incredibly affectionate and wants nothing more than to be near her people. Cocoa would likely do best as the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself 💕 If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, loving best friend with the sweetest soul, Cocoa is your girl. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $150. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive & flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Meet this sweet senior Chihuahua mix! This lovable little guy is looking for a patient, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years. He may be a bit shy at first, but once he trusts you, he's an affectionate cuddle bug who loves belly rubs, pets, treats, and relaxing by your side. He enjoys walks and is happiest when he's close to his favorite person. He can be vocal if left alone or crated in a separate room, so he'd do best with someone who is home often and doesn't mind having a loyal little shadow. He can live with calm, respectful dogs that will give him space, but he isn't a fan of dogs that are overly playful or pushy. Because he guards his food and treats, he'll need an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand and respect his boundaries. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will reward your patience with endless love and snuggles, this sweet boy may be the perfect addition to your family. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $150. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Callie is a sweet 1-year old girl with the most soulful eyes. She has lots of energy. She needs a fenced yard to get her energy out. She's learning to walk on a leash and handles better on a harness. She's working on potty training and has been doing very well with a consistent routine. She loves to give face kisses. She gets so excited to see her humans she jumps to greet you, so may not be a good fit for little children. Once she feels comfortable with her humans she can be a Velcro dog. She sleeps well in the crate at night but during the day, if you're home, she wants to see you because she has some separation anxiety. She sleeps all night without an accident after she goes potty right before. She would be a great companion for someone who can give her lots of attention. She is also good with other dogs. If you would like to meet this dog, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive - deworming

Story
Meet Mazie, a 3-4 year old beagle/maybe Cavalier King Charles mix weighing 25 pounds. Mazie was recently taken out of a hoarding situation with 46 other dogs. Despite her crazy past, she is a happy, sweet girl that is figuring out life in a less chaotic home environment. Mazie is curious about everything and very much wanting to be near her person. In the short time she's been with me, she appears to be housebroken and crate trained. Mazie is getting interested in the toys here and loves to go for walks. Her beagle nose is to the ground taking in all the smells. She'd also love a fenced yard to run around in and would be a great second dog for someone looking for an easygoing companion for a mild-mannered dog. Not sure how she'd be around cats. Mazie knows how to sit and takes treats gently from your hand. She also knows what people food is and very much wants to partake in eating it. She does jump up on people when she's excited, so needs some work on stopping that. I think she'd be great around kids. If you'd like to find out more about Mazie and think you could provide her with the loving home she very much wants, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. Mazie is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She is being fostered in Cary, and her adoption fee is $275. Adoption fee includes: - microchip - spay/neuter - age appropriate vaccinations: Bordetella, DH(L)PP, rabies - heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive - deworming
