Story
Meet Hawk and Zoomer! Hawk and Zoomer are looking for an adopter (or rescue) to help them leave the shelter, fast! They came to us under strange circumstances, but we were able to reach their previous owners and were able to get a bit more history about these boys. They have been unfortunately failed time and time again, as they even were adopted originally from a rescue who doesn't handle dogs anymore so they will not take them back. The boys are 4 years old, and Zoomer is mostly blind (he does appear to see shapes or shadows), and Hawk has normal vision. Zoomer has always been blind per the previous owner and rescue. These boys would be fine with medium-large dogs and are great with kids, BUT they should not go to a home with cats, or other small animals (I would say small dogs as well). They are housetrained and keep their kennels clean here too! They are very much Huskies, so would benefit from a home with breed experience and the ability to handle the boys together. We would consider separating but would ideally keep them together if at all possible, as it appears that Zoomer especially depends on Hawk. Their adoption fees are FREE!!! and they are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov if you have any questions or stop by the shelter during normal open hours to meet them!
We'll also keep you updated on Hawk's adoption status with email updates.

Available Now- Desperately seeking a foster or forever home 🙏🏻 Will you be my Christmas miracle? I am a precious senior Puggle baby girl who is looking for my happily ever after. I was rescued when my human dad passed away. My human mom passed several years ago and it’s just been me and my dad. Unfortunately, I was found by the Sheriff’s Department while doing a wellness check on my dad. No one knows how long that we were there but I’m hopeful that my mom and dad will wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I am a sweet, loving and smart lil girl who just wants a loving family. I am quiet and well behaved. I am good with children and other animals. Please add a lotta unconditional love, sloppy kisses, tail wags and endless happiness to your family and contact jbrescuerangers@yahoo.com for an adoption application and bring me home. I will come with the works (Neutered, up to date on everything, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested, monthly heartworm, flea and tick prevented, a free vet visit and medical insurance).
