Name: Artemis NKA HazelBreed: Great PyreneesDOB: 11/24/2022Good with kids: YESGood with dogs: YESGood with cats: YESFoster location: Lombard, IL Adoption fee: $300 Fun Bio:  Meet Hazel Hazel is a beautiful, laid-back 2-year-old girl who’s been through a lot of change recently and is now searching for the loving home she truly deserves. This gentle soul weighs around 120 lbs and is every bit as kind and loyal as she is big-hearted.Hazel has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a joy to be around. She loves being brushed, petted, and just hanging out nearby — happiest when she can be part of your day, even if it’s simply resting quietly by your side. She enjoys leisurely walks where she can take her time to sniff and explore, sometimes full of energy and other times perfectly content to wander slowly. She’s friendly and social when introduced properly, plays well with other dogs in group settings, and even has a doggie best friend she’s spent many peaceful hours with.Hazel is food-motivated and loves treats (training comes easy when snacks are involved!). She does need to eat separately from other animals, as she prefers her own space during mealtime. And don’t be surprised if she pauses mid-meal and comes back later — that’s just her quirky little routine. She’s strong and playful — tug-of-war with her leash is one of her favorite games! With a bit of consistency and patience, Hazel will make an amazing walking buddy and devoted companion. It wasn’t easy for her previous family to say goodbye — she was deeply loved. But long work hours meant they couldn’t give her the time and attention she deserves. Hazel is ready for a fresh start with someone who can make her feel included, loved, and part of their everyday life. Could you be that person for Hazel? She’s ready to fill your home with loyalty, calm companionship, and unconditional love.#AdoptHazel #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #GentleGiant #RRsanctuary #RescueLove If interested in a pet from us please fill out the adoption application that is located on our website.  We process applications in the order in which they are received.  We will likely not respond to interest emails regarding puppies and/or kittens, we get so many "interest" emails that we simply do not have the time to respond to each one.  We always recommend crate training, positive reinforcement training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog/puppy into your home. Story
Meet Raven! This pretty girl is a 3 year old Pitbull mix. She was adopted from here as a puppy but sadly, she was returned recently for not getting along with the cat in the home. Raven is the happiest girl! She is content and happy no matter what she is doing. Whether she is snuggled up in her bed with her favorite toy or playing in the play yard, she is always happy. She also loves to share her toys and will bring it to you. Raven is well mannered but needs to work on her jumping a little bit. She also keeps her kennel very clean. We are unsure how she is with other dogs but all dogs in the home will need to be present to meet her. She can’t be in a home with cats. Raven will be available for adoption tomorrow at 12pm and is eager to meet you. Please visit noahsarkanimals.org to review all adoption requirements and submit an applicationTo apply to adopt a dog from Noah's Ark in Rockford, IL, please visit noahsarkanimals.org.
