Story
Cooper is a loving, curious, and sweet old man, but he also is sensitive. He loves to be pet but be careful around his ears, hips and feet or else he will yelp. He has some patience, but he cannot handle being around small children who do not understand boundaries. If he is pinched, pulled on, or bitten he may retaliate. I love this dog quite a bit, but I cannot keep my toddler away from him without containing him behind a gate or closed off in a room which is not fair to him. If he is locked away in another room or left outside, he will bark endlessly. He wants to be where the people are, even if all he chooses to do is sleep in your presence. Cooper needs an owner who is easy going, likes to walk, likes to give pets, and has patience. He can be loud when he sees another dog or a new person in the home but he is friendly. He would be fine around grown kids who will not harass him, but toddlers are a definite no-go. He has bitten my toddler (lightly) and we cannot risk it again.

Story
🐾 Meet Sprout Sprout is a sweet, affectionate, and playful young dog who loves being around her people. I adopted her from a local shelter at about 11 months old and they didn't know about her past before the shelter. She absolutely thrives on attention—she loves giving kisses, soaking up pets, and being wherever you are. She has a fun, goofy side, but also enjoys relaxing and napping once she’s gotten her energy out. She’s relatively quiet and rarely barks. She is also housebroken, crate trained, and can be left alone for a few hours. She currently lives with two adults, a toddler, a small dog, and a cat. She has done well with our small dog and coexists with our cat, and she’s been good with our toddler. To be transparent—Sprout can be nervous when meeting new people and animals, especially men. She may be anxious at first, but with slow introductions and patience, she warms up and becomes very sweet and affectionate. She has had a few fear-based reactions so training is a must

Story
This is Alaska, she is a loving dog. She has such a personality she has endless energy and is so smart. She honestly just needs someone who can give her all of the attention she needs and finish her training. She needs a lot of room and a nice yard where she can just be most of the time. I’m not looking for an adoption fee just kind person who can care for this beautiful girl the way she needs to cared for.

Story
We brought Zola home a year ago as a foster from a rescue agency. When we first met her she was a few months old, terrified of everything, and just skin and bones. We were told that her and her siblings were found in the woods in Tennessee after the flooding there. She had been fostered in another home prior to us taking her in and we were told things didn't go so well there. When we first brought her home she was sick, went through 3 rounds of deworming, and we nursed her back to health. She was afraid of everyone and everything and had clearly been abused. She has come such a long, long way and is truly a healthy, happy, sweet girl now. She does have anxiety, especially with new people and experiences, and is on medication for that. She is afraid of men and we believe she was likely abused by a male. She loves to go everywhere with "her person", walks well on a leash, and absolutely loves to cuddle. She would do best in female home with another dog to play with.
