Story
Hi, I’m Rizzoli—your future professional shadow! I’m a soulful, low-maintenance gal who has officially mastered the art of "home life." If you’re looking for a cuddle partner, I’m your girl. Whether we’re lounging on the sofa or I’m tucked in next to you while you read, I just want to be near my people. I love meeting new people, but prefer an adult only home as children can be scary. I can be a little shy at first, but if you move slowly and have a treat ready, we’ll be best friends in no time. I’m a dream on a stroll! I’m very easy to guide and love a calm walk (just keep a firm grip on my leash as I like to chase bunnies) I’m a smart girl who already knows "No," "Off," and "Uh-uh." I’m still practicing "Sit" and "Come," though I never wander far anyway. Ready to meet me? I spend time between the shelter and my foster home. If you want to say hello, just stop by Tails—my foster can have me there in minutes!

Story
Hiiiii, I’m Elowyn! I was found as a stray, so I’m still figuring out this whole “being someone’s dog” thing—but I think I’m catching on pretty quickly! I’m a friendly, happy girl who loves treats, toys, and giving sweet little kisses. I walk pretty nicely on leash and have a calmer side for my age, but don’t be fooled—I also love to play! I enjoy chasing games and can hang with both high-energy and chill dog friends. Sometimes I get a little too excited and might be a bit mouthy or pushy, but I’m still a puppy and just need someone to show me the ropes. I don’t really know any commands yet, but that just means we get to learn together. I’m smart, eager, and full of potential—I just need a patient human to help me shine. If you’re looking for a fun, loving girl to grow with, I might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Duke, a refined gentleman who is part majestic goofball and part oversized house cat. He’s a "slow-cooker" dog who takes a few days to download his new surroundings, but once he’s settled, he’s a total marshmallow who will bury his head into you for affection and nuzzle you like a kitten. While he isn’t motivated by treats—meaning he hasn't quite seen the point of learning "sit" yet—he is incredibly respectful and obeys vocal commands with ease. Whether he’s following you from room to room to supervise your chores or retreating to his private bed for some "me time," Duke is the ultimate low-drama roommate who gets along famously with other dogs and cats alike. When he isn’t lounging on the couch or accepting "solid side pats" and belly rubs, Duke is a focused professional window-watcher. He has the soul of an explorer and a tail that acts like a laser-guided GPS for squirrels; he can spot a critter from a mile away and strike a perfect point. He is fully potty trained on a schedule and is a quiet guy who only offers a single "security bark" at passersby before returning to his business. If you’re looking for a loyal, quirky, and calm companion who values respect over bribes, Duke is ready to bring his unique brand of "pointy" charm to your home. Duke is currently staying in a foster home so if you're interested in meeting him, please email info@tailshumanesociety.org to setup an appointment

Story
Hi, I’m Myvus! I’m a bundle of joy with a big heart! I’ve got a silly streak that keeps life interesting, and I LOVE to play with my people. If you’re looking for a happy, goofy girl to make you smile every single day… I’m your gal. I know my “sit” like a pro, I’m house-trained (I’ll even politely raise a paw when I need to go out!), and I’m good with visitors. I’ve lived as an indoor dog and I’m used to being part of the family. I haven’t lived with other pets, but I’ve done well meeting large dogs before. I’ve even played with kittens on a porch once! That said, I will chase cats or squirrels if they run — it’s just so tempting! I do pull on leash because I get excited about adventures, but I’m a smart girl and love treats, so training with me will be fun (especially if you bring apples or yogurt — my favorites!). I’m used to being loose in the house when my person leaves and sleeping in a crate at night. I’m a really great dog, just waiting for my next chapter. If you’re ready for a loyal, playful, slightly silly best friend, come meet me at Tails. I promise to bring the fun, the love, and a lot of laughter to your life.
