Story
Draco is a sweet and caring dog, he’s so affectionate and absolutely LOVES to cuddle and be under you. he’s extremely intelligent and you wouldn’t go a second without laughing at something hilarious he does. he turns 3 this summer so he’s still on the younger side so he has his young rowdiness still but he’s getting wiser as the years go on. he deserves so much love and care and i just want to make sure he goes to a loving and caring home that he deserves. i’m not charging anything for him, i simply want him to be happy and in a loving environment and if someone can do that then that’s all i care about.

Story
Mac is 4 years old. He's a loyal dog who listens really well. He loves to play fetch and go on walks. My wife and I adopted Mac from the humane society of st Louis. He came from an abusive home before us and still has some anxiety issues because of it.We're putting him up for adoption because since my wife and I had our daughter we just haven't had the time to give him the attention he deserves. Mac is the type of dog that can start to act out if he doesn't have enough playtime and activity. We want Mac to go to a home that can give him the attention and play that he needs.

Story
Kinoko means mushroom. She was a stray in St. Louis County rescued by CARE STL. They estimate she was 3 at that time. She's approximately 6 now. She was on a Gabapentin prescription when we first got her to ease the transition. She has been hostile to house guests and needs to be put away when strangers are around. She has mixed results with other dogs so she doesn't go to the dog park. She has lived with a male Maltipoo for 2 years and was hostile at first, but within 24 hours accepted whatever horseplay he tries to do. She is not a bothersome dog. She is content to sit all day in her selected spot. Attempts to move this spot have failed. She barks rarely, when she smells or sees danger. She's been known to cower in the presence of dumptrucks and their associated dumpsters. She needs at least 2 walks a day and even if she refuses to move, is the best way to bond with her. She needs a resilient love and every chance to pet her should be taken even if she sorta turns away.

Story
Kilo's story begins with a lovely owner who unfortunately passed when Kilo was only 2. From there, he went to a shelter where he seemed to get along fine with other dogs, then was adopted by a family who had a few dogs of their own that did not get along with Kilo. That's when and why he came to us, and once he was in our home he had officially loathed other dogs and would try to attack them. We have worked on this for the last few years with minimal progress, but still progress. He should not be in a home with or unleashed around other dogs, but he can finally run the fence line happily with our neighbors dogs. Kilo is terrified of rain/storms (he hides in the bathtub), we believe he's allergic to chicken & it's byproduct (itchy skin, irritation, and ear infections went down significantly when we switched his food), and he has low-level separation anxiety (he doesn't eat or drink when we aren't home). He is a very good boy, and he deserves a home better than we can now give him.

Story
Ben is a 140-pound gentle giant who will turn 9 in August. He is a loving, affectionate, people-oriented dog who thrives on companionship and being part of a family. I adopted him when he was about one year old, and he has spent nearly seven years with my family, growing up alongside two older large-breed dogs, including a Great Dane to whom he was especially attached. Over the past two years, both of his longtime canine companions passed away due to old age. After the loss of his closest companion, his behavior changed, and he began excessive licking and grooming that resulted in an open wound on his right hind leg. The wound has been difficult to heal because he continues to lick the area when unsupervised. Ben is not being rehomed because of aggression or behavioral problems. He would do best in a home with more companionship, attention and ideally other friendly dogs. He will come with his favorite futon mattress and toys. Ben is due for his annual vaccinations and rabies booster.
