Story
He was given to us by someone that could no longer keep him. He Likes to play and can be very loving, but also independent. He likes to be outside and go for walks. Hes a cuddler and acts like a lap dog, but will lay in his kennel as well. He likes to play with our cat and has been around her ever since she was a kitten. He has also been around smaller and larger dogs and does just fine. He can do a few tricks, such as sit, lay down, shake, and hugs. He needs a good, loving home. Someone that has time to care for him properly.

Zues

American Pit Bull Terrier Mutt

Male, Adult
Swansea, IL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
This is Zues. Zues lived with his previous owner from puppy until he was 6. He was then dumped on the streets by a family member of his owner who said they would take care of him since his owner was no longer able. Due to the extreme change in his life, Zues is an anxious guy when you first meet him. After he warms up, he is the sweetest boy in the world. He loves ear rubs and cuddles. He is nuetured, house trained, and up to date on shots. He does not chew up things when left alone except for his toys. He loves kongs and tennis balls. Zues is partially blind. Our vet thinks it is something that he was born with and currently can only see a little bit, probably mostly shadows. He gets around fine but will trip over/run into things from time to time. The vet said the disease will eventually cause full blindness but no other health concerns. Due to his semi-blindness he is nervous around other dogs and would need to be the only dog in the home.

Story
This is Raven. Raven is a female and I am not positive on her age, but the vet thinks 1-2 years old. Raven was dumped in the streets by her previous owner and has been with me since October. She is up to date on shots, spayed, and housebroken. She is great with other dogs. Raven is a little nervous around people upon first meeting, but once she realizes there is no danger, she’s a lap dog. She is very sweet and well behaved. She doesn’t ever chew up anything besides toys. She easily learns new tricks and commands. She loves hard nylon toys, tennis balls and any stuffed toys. I don’t know much about Raven’s past, but I do know now she just wants to be someone’s pet.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Millie was originally adopted from my partner's co-worker's friend who had two larger pitbulls as well and they didn't have the space to house her. I don't know her history before them or how she came into their lives but we took her in when she was 6 months. She is now 11 months old and is a medium dog. I'm hoping to find her a loving, attentive, experienced, and energetic home. It doesn't mean you have to work from home, she is kennel trained but will tear apart a dog bed. She does better with blankets instead. She loves to play, learn, run, and cuddle. She's a sweet, silly, sassy, and smart dog. She's smarter and very sassy when treats are involved.
