Story
Eleven-year-old Beauregard is a 12-pound Min Pin. One of his humans passed away, and the other went into assisted living. Beauregard found himself without a place to go. He does like to assert his dominance over other dogs. He might do better in a home with a female dog or no other dog, but he has been an only child. He is adorable! He probably should be in a home without cats and kids. He loves to run and play in a fenced yard and just lay in the sunshine. He's always the last one back in the house, so we would love for him to have a fenced yard. He can be barky, so an apartment isn't the ideal choice for him. Fully vetted, neutered, vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is located in St. Louis and his adoption fee is $160. Story
**Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Coco is 11 years old and she's diabetic, but not on a special diet, as per our vet's recommendation. Her insulin dosage is 5 units of 40u insulin once a day with breakfast. She absolutely loves all food and treats, but with diabetes, the amount she eats each day would need to be carefully controlled! She has diminished eyesight in one eye, but so far, her other eye is clear. She will follow her person around the house and is almost always in the same room. After a while, she will really warm up and is quite affectionate. However, because of this, she would probably do best in a home where she is the only dog because she gets territorial of her space with her person. Not physically aggressive, but a lot of barking. She will also bark at your face when she wants your attention and to be petted. Because of her diabetes, she is mostly pad trained, but she will not hold it, so she needs someone with patience and preferably very free access to a fenced-in yard. Someone who is home with her most of the time would be ideal. Located in St. Louis, her adoption fee is $65..

**Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** "Mom" is 8 years young. She is full of fun, sassy personality. Such a fun dog to have around. She loves her people with everything she has. She loves to be "squeezed" and will push herself into you as if she's hugging you right back. She likes to be bossy to humans & dogs. So she needs a bossier owner and laid-back dogs. It was originally thought Lany would enjoy being an only dog, but we have discovered when she is an only dog she has separation anxiety. So, Lany needs to go to a home that does have another dog or dogs. She does like long walks. And she needs to be reminded that it's time to go potty. She's very smart and loves doing dog puzzles (her 2 favorites will come with her). Lany is not a fan of kids. So keep that in mind when considering her, please. Lany is constantly "battling the bulge". She is on a low-calorie food and should stay on a low-calorie diet going forward. She needs to lose at least 2 lbs, maybe 3. She is crate-trained. She does like sleeping with her foster family as well. Fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative! She is located in the St. Louis area and her adoption fee is $260.

If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Roscoe is a Chihuahua with the typical snarky Chihuahua attitude. He takes time to warm up to new people, but once he does warm up, he will let you hold him like a baby and love on him. However, be advised this process won't happen the first day, or maybe not the first week. You will need to let him come to you when he decides he's good and ready. Roscoe weighs in at about 4.4 pounds. He is about a year and a half old. He needs a securely fenced yard and does not walk well on a leash! He is okay with other dogs but has not been cat tested. Due to his nature, he is not recommended for a home with children. He is fully vaccinated with a microchip and has been neutered. Located in St. Louis, if you're up for the challenge, please apply today!

If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Kenji was described by the shelter as a Boston Terrier, and we agree with that, but he seems taller and lankier than a Boston with those long legs! We think he could be part Boxer or a "Boxton." He weighs about 17 pounds and is about 2 years old. When we got him, he was heartworm-positive but has been treated and has tested heartworm-negative. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and on heartworm preventative. He is a very sweet dog, but has a high prey drive and would not do well with cats and should probably be the only dog. He has not been tested with children. Kenji is located in St. Louis, and his adoption fee is $260.

If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Louie was surrendered to rescue after his family was no longer able to care for him. He was estimated to be 14 years old, but truthfully, he doesn't seem to be that old, as spry as he is. He runs in the yard with the other dogs and is a good boy. He is bigger than the average Min Pin, at about 25 pounds. He is great with other dogs, would be okay with kids, and has not been cat-tested. He has had a much-needed dental, his bloodwork was excellent, and he had never been neutered, so that was just done, also. He is microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He has a docked tail, but his ears are natural. Louie is a senior looking for a senior! He is in St. Louis, and his adoption fee is $75.
