Story
Meet Muppet. She is a sweet little senior girl! she was dumped at a local shelter due to the fact that she had a lot of health problems. Chihuahua rescue took care of all of her health problems. She is now ready for adoption. She gets along fine with other dogs older kids would be OK. The foster home does not have cats, but I think with her personality she would be fine with a friendly cat, if they’re looking for a little cuddle, buddy, please consider adopting a senior

Story
MEET BUBBA — 3 YEARS OLD, LAB PYRENEES MIX Some dogs walk into your life and you can just feel how badly they want to belong. Bubba is one of them. This big, gentle boy came from Louisiana and was surrendered to the shelter with two other dogs when his owner could no longer afford to care for them. He did not understand why everything familiar disappeared overnight; he just knew he had to start over. A few weeks later, another rescue committed to taking him. Bubba was pulled from the shelter and was eager to arrive at his temporary foster home in Louisiana, but at the last minute the foster backed out. Return to the shelter? Start all over again? Instead, Bubba was taken to boarding, where he stayed for two long weeks. He was restless, lost weight, and cried for human companionship. For a dog like Bubba, boarding was not a break; it was heartbreak. Today, Bubba is finally safe, secure, and understood. He is around 66 pounds and working his way back to his healthy weight of about 80 pounds. He is a big, loving Lab/Pyrenees mix with the sweetest soul. Bubba is a shadow dog, the kind who follows you from room to room, grateful just to be near someone who cares. He does not ask for much, just kindness, consistency, and a family who will not give up on him. Bubba has some teeth that are ground down, likely from chewing on something rough during a difficult period in his past. Dogs who are tied out sometimes chew to get off the chain. The good news is that he has no pain and eats normally. It is simply a reminder of what he has overcome and how ready he is for a better life. Bubba has tested positive for heartworm. He shows no symptoms and is currently on slow-kill treatment. All necessary medications will be provided to the adopter, and additional details about his care will be shared once an application is submitted. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. ADOPTION CRITERIA:- No crating; use a baby gate if not home- Fenced backyard required (no invisible fences)- Someone who is home more during the day- Children must be 7 years of age or older Bubba is being fostered in South Bend, Indiana. His adoption fee is $395. Please submit an application on our website:www.indianasaveadog.com  ##2696542##

Story
QUEENIE — Creme Color - English Golden RetrieverBorn: 3/2/2021 • Weight: ~60 lbs Queenie is a stunning English Golden Retriever whose life is finally turning a corner. After years as a breeding mom, she’s ready to experience what it means to be loved, valued, and part of a real family. She is housebroken, spayed, fully vetted, heartworm-negative, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Queenie is incredibly calm, gentle, and very people- and kid-friendly. She thrives on attention and loves being with her humans. She enjoys meeting other dogs, loves to play with the other foster dogs, and does well with visiting dogs. She simply prefers not to share her home full-time with another resident dog. She can be possessive of her food around dogs, but she has absolutely no issues with people handling or taking her food — this behavior is directed only toward dogs, never people. Queenie truly blossoms when she is the only resident dog in the home.  Queenie would make a wonderful companion for a senior or anyone who is home more often and wants a loyal, loving calmer dog by their side. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be someone’s shadow, soaking up the companionship she never had. ADOPTION CRITERIA • Fully fenced-in backyard required — no invisible fences.• No dogs in the household.   • She is friendly with dogs , but not suited to living with them due to food and people possessiveness.• Someone home more often than not — she thrives on companionship and routine.• Children in the home must be over 7 years of age.• Calm, stable home environment where she can be the center of attention. No crating: She has spent enough time in a kennel. A tall baby gate in a doorway is an acceptable form of containment. Queenie is being fostered in Fort Wayne and will be available for a meet-and-greet with an approved application after June 15th. She is spayed, vet-checked, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $500 . We will require a $50 refundable deposit to hold a dog if your meet and greet is scheduled more than one week after your application is approved. If you meet the dog and decide not to adopt, your deposit is fully refunded. Please put in an application to adopt on our website. www.indianasaveadog.com  ##2748754##
