Story
We’re heartbroken to say we’re looking for a loving forever home for our wonderful girl, Lola – a 7-year-old female American Bully. Lola is an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be loved and give love right back. She’s incredibly affectionate, gentle, and people-oriented—she thrives on cuddles, belly rubs, and being part of the family. Lola is potty trained and crate trained (she’s great in her crate when we’re out or at night) Excellent with other dogs—she plays nicely and gets along well Very good with children—she’s patient and gentle No history of aggression toward people or animals—she’s never shown any concerning behaviors She’s happiest snuggling on the couch or following you around the house Due to some recent family changes (welcome new baby + work/life demands), we no longer have the time and attention she deserves. This was an incredibly difficult decision, made out of love for her—we want her to go to a home where she can be the center of attention again.

Story
Meet Simon, Sienna & Sophie — three playful Draft Picks ready for their forever teams! These sweet siblings joined Ruff Draft from one of our rescue partners in Texas after being found in South San Antonio. Their mom, Genevieve, had an owner who chose not to have her spayed and later abandoned both her and the puppies, leaving them in a field across from the house. Thankfully they were brought to safety, and now their next chapter is all about finding the loving homes they deserve. Born October 2025, this trio of Lab mixes is full of puppy energy, curiosity, and affection. Simon and Sophie are classic black pups, while Sienna stands out beautifully with her white coat and soft beige markings. All three are Game Day Ready and doing great with kids, cats, and other dogs. They love attention, playtime, and being part of the action, and like any young pups, they’re still working on their rookie manners — including remembering that jumping up isn’t part of the playbook yet. Simon especially is a big lovable goof who doesn’t quite realize how much he’s grown, so families with very small kids should just be mindful that his enthusiastic puppy energy could accidentally knock someone over during playtime. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate teammate who’s ready to learn, love, and grow with your family, these three are ready to be drafted.

Story
Play the song “Rio” and she’ll dance — but what she really wants is a forever home to stay in. Meet Rio — a calm, loyal teammate ready for her forever home Rio is an approximately 1.5-year-old shepherd mix who made her way to Ruff Draft through one of our trusted rescue partners in Texas. Rio and her sister were originally found along a river by a kind woman who took them in, helped socialize them, and gave them a safe place to start learning about life with people. She did her part — and now it’s our turn to help Rio find the forever team she’s been waiting for. Despite her uncertain beginning, Rio is a wonderfully balanced girl. She’s house trained and crate trained (not a single accident so far!) and settles in beautifully to a home routine. She’s calm, playful, affectionate, and listens very well — the kind of dog who makes you feel like she must have had a home once and is truly ready to belong to one again. Rio is Game Day Ready and does great with kids and other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats to our knowledge, so slow introductions or a trial period would be the best play for success. And here’s the fun part — while she was at the Texas rescue, staff would play “Rio” by Duran Duran, and she’d start dancing… which is exactly how she earned her name. 💃🐾 If you’re looking for a steady, loving companion who’s past the chaos and ready for real life on a forever team, Rio is ready to sign her contract. Story
Meet the Encanto Litter — our magical new Draft Picks! This beautiful little family came to Ruff Draft from one of our trusted rescue partners in Texas, after they were found under an abandoned house in San Antonio. They may have had a rough start, but they are safe now and we’re so excited to introduce them to their future forever teams. Mama Julieta is about 1.5 years old and believed to be a Carolina Dog mix. She is the absolute sweetest, housebroken and crate trained already. She arrived in rescue with eight puppies — five of them made their way to Ruff Draft and officially joined our roster as Draft Picks. The puppies were born 12/9/25 and include three girls (Isabella, Mirabel, and Pepa) and two boys (Antonio and Felix). Each pup has their own unique look — Pepa is especially striking with bold black-and-tan coloring, Isabella, Mirabel, and Felix sport classic shepherd-style coloring (with varying levels of fluff), and Antonio stands out with his beautiful white tricolor coat and resemblance to mom. We suspect there may be some shepherd in the mix, though they also look surprisingly similar to Chinook puppies though that's not as common of a breed. What we do know for sure: this whole crew is Game Day Ready. They’re super playful, active, social pups who are doing great with kids, cats, and other dogs. Whether you’re looking for a young teammate or a sweet mama ready for her own happily-ever-after, this family is ready to start their next chapter. Breed & Size Disclaimer: We make our best guess on breed based on coat type, size, muzzle shape, and other physical traits, but breed mix, adult size, and weight cannot be guaranteed. We always welcome friendly suggestions if you think something may be inaccurate!
