Story
London was saved from the kill shelter at the last minute. She been fostered back to health over the last year. She's been tested around dogs, cats, birds, kids and strangers. Like a typical corso, she's suspicious of new people at first, but atypically she accepts them quickly. She deserves a loving home. She does have allergies, but is well maintained with an occasional bath and cytopoint injection.

Story
Zari was adopted from Prince George’s County Animal Shelter in July 2025. She is 2 years old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. We can provide all paperwork from the shelter.Unfortunately, we were unexpectedly forced to move from our family home of 14 years and have since made the difficult decision to sell our home. We are temporarily living with family, including a young child who is fearful of dogs after a prior incident, which limits Zari’s space in the home. She has gone from having a large, fenced-in yard (nearly an acre) to a much smaller townhouse setting, which simply isn’t ideal for her energy level.Zari is extremely friendly, energetic, curious, and fully housebroken. She is wonderful with kids, very affectionate, and loves attention—she’ll happily greet everyone with kisses. We want nothing more than to find her a loving home where she’ll have the space, attention, and life she deserves.

quick Facts About Her: Age: 4 years Old breed: Pitbull / Bully breed Personality: Affectionate, loyal, and incredibly xxxx@xxxx.x & Pets: Great with children and used to living peacefully with both dogs and cats. Medical Status: Spayed. Current on Rabies (overdue on standard booster shots). House Trained: Yes. Special Needs: She experiences high separation anxiety and does not do well confined to a crate. When left alone for long periods, she can exhibit destructive chewing (she has chewed a door frame/window sill in the past when panicked). She thrives best in a home where people are around frequently and where she does not need to be xxxx@xxxx.x is highly adaptable to a busy family life, loves everyone, and has been a cherished companion. This decision is entirely due to my sudden situational changes. I will provide all historic medical records, and any supplies I have for her.

Story
Festus is a 3yr large, neutered lab wire hair pointer mix, very affectionate and intelligent. He will heal, sit, lay down and go to crate on command. He has a very strong hunting and retrieving instinct toward birds, chickens, rabbits, cats and small other small animals. Crate trained and has been raised since a puppy with a Rottweiler and has been exposed to other dogs and gets along well with them. He has been in a family with young boys and interacts with them well. We are looking to rehome him due to his size and his potential to knock down infirm ones in the home.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
