Story
I’m heartbroken to have to make this post, but we need to find the right home for our pup, Obi. He is 6 years old and will be turning 7 on October 26th.Obi has severe anxiety around small children, which can trigger stress-induced seizures. Since our toddler has become more active and mobile, his stress levels have increased. Our vet has recommended rehoming him, as training has not improved the situation. It isn’t fair to Obi to live in constant stress, and it isn’t fair to our toddler to be limited from acting like a normal child.Obi has worked with a trainer and does very well on walks. He still needs some continued work with obedience, but he is a loving, intelligent dog with so much to offer. He gets along best with female dogs, but he also does well with our male Husky. He loves playing fetch, catching balls in the air, and running laps.We are looking for a loving home with no children 8 years old or younger. Obi is neutered, but he is not up to date on vaccines.

Story
Medusa would love to be the QUEEN BEE and be appreciated for the alpha she is. She is an American Bully which is a new designer breed (mislabeled English Bulldog, Pittie, Pocketpittie, MicroBully). She is guessed to be 4 years old and around 45 lbs. Short and stocky, she is a healthy and easy dog to care for unlike the other bully breeds. Medusa can be bossy and demanding of attention, jealous when humans talk to the other dogs in her foster home. She is fostered with small and big dogs, but requires correction and supervision to avoid a 'girl fight' She would do best as an only dog to keep the peace and let her enjoy a family. Medusa was pulled from a shelter last year, placed briefly in a home with another bulldog who did not want to share space with her. The setback caused jealousy behaviors which we are working on. Medusa sleeps in a crate when her foster family is not home, at night, she shares a pillow and snuggles in the human bed. Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated/on prevention - She is READY for Adoption FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Story
Buddy Edward is a middle-aged dude with a beer gut - we are working on his weight! He is the happiest, fattest, little Shih Tzu 'around' - he snorts like a bulldog and waddles! He came to rescue at 18 lbs and has been told by our Vet his bloodwork looks great, but his weight is a concern and obesity will cause problems. His foster has him on a diet, special kibble and only one meal a day. Buddy has curly white and tan fur. He had bald spots due to skin infections which have grown back. Due to breed - in addition to exercise, will require extensive grooming! Regular trips to the Salon *Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Breed is based on documentation provided from the original owner and Vet clinic who saw him prior to rescue. Buddy is fostered with cats, small dogs and big dogs. He loves attention and sitting on his foster mom's lap. He is leash trained and potty trained. Loves car rides and 'going anywhere. This breed has a Life Expectancy is 10-15 years. We are seeking a committed family for this piglet. Buddy came to rescue with two dog siblings after his elderly owners could not afford to care for them and taken to a small shelter. The Animal Control Officer contacted CCR and requested help - the dogs were neglected, dirty and not housetrained. They were clearly loved but owners started to struggle to care for themselves and the pets. Buddy has more housetraining than his younger dog friends. Buddy is now up to date on vaccines, dewormed for gut health, microchipped and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Due to Buster's size - he is eligible for travel with Southwest Airlines (Houston to any major airport approved by SWAAT) Canadian adopters must drive to the meet locations in USA. Email to Apply! Story
Deepali needed a miracle, a mama dog on a border town in south Texas - she was skinny with skin infections, heartworms and a bouncy twitch to her walk. Once in Houston, she learned her foster home routine quickly and enjoys snuggling into a donut dog bed in her crate along with a big bucket for nibbling on kibble when she wants. Deepali resource guards food and has a fierce growl over food but is only 42 lbs and panics if dogs challenger her. { She's all bark, no Fight } Based on history of the region, X-Rays and observed coordination - Our team and Vet partners suspect; she is a survivor of distemper. A virus that leaves dogs with permanent nervous system damage if they survive. We did X-Rays to rule out wobblers and traumatic injury. Deepali has full use of her head, neck, front limbs - her back feet 'dance' even when she is standing still. She is unbothered by her twitches and RUNS when she needs to be first in line for a treat or to go see her dog friends. Deepali loves human attention and petting. She could easily be an only dog in a small space - going on leashed walks for exercise. Guessed to be between 4-6 years old. Mature but not showing signs of aging. Current weight 42 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and on prevention (treated and now negative for heartworms). Housetrained, crate trained and part of a suburban foster home with other dogs. Deepali does NOT have any special needs* Intake Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/iajmW_gNjrs?si=5-dp93lDnMEzye3h FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($400.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners.
