Ella’s journey began on the streets of Manitoba, but her story is only getting started. She was taken in by a caring family at just 4 months old and lovingly fostered until a shelter could take her. However, being in a remote northern community where dogs rarely get adopted, Ella was given a second chance. Thanks to the collaboration between Legacy of Love Rescue and Bruno Project Canada, she was transferred to Ontario – to finally find the loving family she truly deserves. 🩷✨ A beautiful husky mix with a gentle heart and a playful spirit, this incredibly sweet girl walks well on a leash, is crate & housetrained, and is dog & kid friendly. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet. Ella is the kind of dog who will fit beautifully into an active, loving home – whether it’s going for walks, playing outside, or curling up beside you at the end of the day. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. 🏠 Thor is a large boy at approximately 98 lbs, but he’s calm and easy to handle. He would make a wonderful companion for a loving home. At 5 years old, Phoebe wants nothing more in life than a forever home to call her own with humans who understand her — and she is not that hard to understand. She is a fantastic dog! ✨ It’s true, she's been through some stuff — absolutely none of it her fault — and somehow ended up homeless, not once but twice! Her life experiences have made her sometimes fearful (men on bikes, and big male dogs) and hesitant to trust (again!) — but none of it has made her a difficult dog. In fact, Phoebe is one of the happiest, friendliest, most outgoing dogs we have ever had in the group. 🐾 Phoebe responds beautifully to kindness and gentle, calm, clear communication. She has never bitten anyone or behaved aggressively, but she is learning that she doesn’t need to bark to be noticed or to jump up for affection. She is on a weight-loss program and has been walking very nicely on a harness several kilometres a day. She loves her crate and that is where she sleeps, even for naps when the crate door is open. She is calm at home and easily entertained with chew toys and bones. She isn’t fond of noise and rambunctiousness, so young kids (under 10) may make her retreat to the safety of her crate. She can be dog selective so guided introductions are a must. Story

This is Bepsi. He is a young dog that was found alone in the rain in Northern Manitoba.When he was saved, he was severely injured, with a massive abscess above his right eye. He was taken to the emergency vet, where it was drained and cleaned, but unfortunately he also suffered a fractured skull. It is presumed that he was attacked by a much larger dog. Bepsi is missing the right half of his brain and will be a special needs dog who may have a limited ability to do normal "dog" things but still deserves all the love. He loves car rides, chewing and baths. He cannot play normal games like fetch or tug of war but put a toy in his mouth and let him spin and he will have a blast. He loves cuddles and playing with other dogs who can be delicate with him. Due to his traumatic brain Injury he obsessively spins and will require special care for the term of his life. He needs reminders sometimes to stop spinning. You can pick him up, hug him, hold him or give him a toy to chew on in bed. He responds to clicking or snapping sounds to help stop spinning or move him forward. Baby gates, supervision and safety protocols are advised. His life span is not suspected to be affected.
