Good with adults? Yes Good with kids? Unknown Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? Unknown House trained? Yes Crate Trained? Yes Energy Level? Medium Barker? Yes About Dobby: Sweet little Dobby is still very much a young, energetic puppy at heart. She loves to run and play, and doing her little zoomies, but she is also content to sit with you and snuggle as well. Dobby is a bit nervous of new people, but once she warms up to you, she loves to play and cuddle, and will curl up in your lap for a snooze. She barks at new people, especially men, out of fear and will need some gentle reassurance and patience to show her that people can be trusted. Dobby absolutely loves to play with other dogs! She is very submissive, but she is still very young and full of energy so playing with dogs that can match her energy is best. Dobby would love to have another confident dog in the home to learn from but is also okay being an only doggo. Dobby is learning to enjoy walks and walks well on a leash but is a bit nervous of loud noises still. Dobby is pad trained and is very consistent using her puppy pads. With some training, she could be transitioned to going outside to do her business. Dobby is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. Dobby is still very much a puppy that loves to play with toys and is very eager to learn. She is looking for a loving and patient family that will love on her, give her endless cuddles and lots of toys to play with! ***Woof.. Please know that the rescue has posted all the information that they have on me here. As my foster family gets to know me they will post updates, so please check back! If you are interested in me please fill out an application at www.petsaliveniagara.ca/adopt and one of my friends will get back to you within 2 to 5 business days.***"

Story
Male | 2 years | 21 lbs | Terrier Mix Good with adults? Yes Good with kids? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? No House trained? Yes Crate trained? Yes Energy level? Low Barker? On occasion About Bubbles Bubbles is a unique little dude that loves his humans and loves affection. He is a little bit wary of strangers on walks but once he gets to know people, he is a little love bug. He loves to curl up for a nap on his human’s lap or cuddle up for a movie – he might take a quick pause to play with his doggy friends but will promptly come back to his spot next to his human. Bubbles gets along well with other dogs in his house but can be fearful of strange dogs that pass him on walks. He will bark when he sees another dog on a walk, but once the dog gets closer, he will sniff the dog to get to know them. Speaking of walks he is excellent on a leash, especially on a quiet morning when there are no dogs and strangers around. Bubbles is very interested in chasing cats and squirrels, so kitty friends at home would not be a good match for him. Bubbles is crate trained and does well in his crate. Bubbles can be a bit possessive of his toys and will guard them from being taken from another dog in the home. When this happens, his foster removes the toy and Bubbles goes on with his day. Bubbles was diagnosed with heartworm but completed his treatment and is now officially heartworm free! He does require Multi Advantage for the next 8 months, which Pets Alive Niagara will provide to the adopters. Bubbles knows a few commands and sits promptly for his treats. He is working on some training to redirect his attention when he sees a squirrel or someone on a bike and is making great progress. Bubbles is a very outgoing, caring and loving dog that would love nothing more than to curl up in a nice warm blanket next to his humans for a good cuddle! He has been with his foster family for nearly 6 months and has come a long way in that time, but he deserves to find his forever home in time for Christmas! ***Woof.. Please know that the rescue has posted all the information that they have on me here. As my foster family gets to know me they will post updates, so please check back! If you are interested in me please fill out an application at www.petsaliveniagara.ca/adopt and one of my friends will get back to you within 2 to 5 business days.***"

*This dog is located in the Niagara area*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*Hey yall, Im Otis! One of my hobbies is napping, whether it be on your carpet or in your lap. I weigh 76 lbs, but weighted blankets are a thing these days right!? I love being outdoors but short walks are my thing as I get tired easily. I would like to say that Im a total love bug once I get to know you! Otis has embarked on a board & train program following minor bite incidents so that we could learn more about how we can help Otis succeed and become a well-balanced and confident dog. From Otis' trainer:After working with Otis in our board and train program we have discovered he is not an aggressive dog. Otis is nervous, sensitive and fearful. Mainly to new people and loud noises. He needs an owner who will continue his training. He has learnt place, leash walking, crate training, sit, recall, release command, waiting at thresholds and waiting for food. Otis responds well to a calm, confident leader and is already e-collar and muzzle trained! He needs someone to help with his decision making and continue to use his tools to assist him in that. He is not a high energy dog so the walks and keeping his training up is all he needs. Otis will also need an owner who advocates for him, so that means making sure not to let strangers walk up on him. He is unsure of loud noises and even the vacuum cleaner. We continue to teach Otis how to walk away when he feels nervous instead of becoming defensive. This is another example of advocating for him. His new must be stepping in when he feels nervous and getting him to a place where he feels confident and safe. Otis is looking to put his bite history in the past. We are confident with the right owner he will be successful and make a wonderful companion!Name: Otis Weight: ~76lbsAge ~6.5 yearsGender: MaleBreed: American bulldog mixColour: WhiteMedical: Skin cancer removal on genital area. Story
*This dog will be transported to Grimsby, Ontario once an adoptive home is found*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Glory was surrendered to our partner in Texas last year after she was originally abandoned at a vet's office. She is a senior gal, likely in the 8-10 year range, though we can't be certain of her actual age. She has some vision loss but sees well enough to move easily from room to room and around the yard. She comes when called and wants nothing more than to sit on your lap. Glory loves to eat and mealtime is her absolute favourite. They say that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but with Glory's food motivation, you just might! She currently sleeps in bed with her foster mom and is the first one to give gently kisses in the morning, signaling its time to get up. With her diminished vision, she is a bit cautious around new smells and environments. She does well in her foster's house with dogs ranging from 4lb to 190lb, except for one little fully blind Pomeranian who she will literally search out to tussle with. She is smart, affectionate, feisty and fun. She is a very sweet little senior pup!Adoption fee: $450 Ideal Home: The ideal home would be a retired person or couple- home all the time who are looking for a snuggle bug who is fairly low maintenance.Name: GloryBreed: Chihuahua mix Age: ~8-10 years Weight: ~10lbSex: FemaleColour: Brown/blackMedical: Missing teeth, occasional cough due to collapsing trachea Good with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-11: No, due to vision loss Good with kids 12+: YesGood with dogs: Yes, happy to co-exist with other dogsGood with cats: Unknown, no exposure - but possibly House trained: 90% Crate trained: She will settle, but she has somehow figured out how to escape a crate at one point Resource guarding: None seen Walks on a leash: Needs to learn, as she is only used to exploring the yard Energy level: Low-medium Requires detached/single home: No Separation anxiety: Mild - if she knows her foster mom is home, she wants to be with her Barker: Average

Story
Lady is fostered in Hamilton Ontario. Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Lady came to us from the City of Houston animal shelter. We met her at our rescue ranch after she was pulled from the shelter. We could tell she was well spirited, but it was clear that she had been neglected. She played well with other dogs and enjoyed a medicated bath to sooth her skin . Which was irritated when she was first rescued. Since then, she has been on preventatives for the fleas and skin is looking so much better (fur is almost all grown back in). She really loves to play with balls and other toys, and she knows the command drop. We would classify her as having medium-high energy once she comes out of her shell, but with sufficient exercise and play she becomes a great relaxed dog. She is looking for a family to help her gain self-confidence and take her on lots of adventures. She is a bit vocal if left unattended in the kennel, so we are looking for a single or detached home, just to be safe. She is good with kids, however she does have a bad habit of jumping on people, so this is something that will need to be worked on. Overall, this black beauty will make a wonderful companion!Name: LadyBreed: Lab mixAge: ~2 years Weight: ~45lbSex: Female, spayedColour: Black with whiteMedical: sore/irritated skin at rescue treated and almost fully recoveredGood with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-6: Yes, however due to strength and jumping suitable for older children Good with kids 6+: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown, no exposure.
