Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Young, energetic, smart, loyal, and just a little bit of a busybody — meet Buzz! Buzz is a young guy with energy to spare and a big personality to match. He’s looking for an active human who wants a true adventure buddy and understands that a dog like Buzz needs more than a couple of quick walks around the block. He wants to DO things! Long walks, hiking, exploring, fetch in a fenced yard, training classes, scent work, agility… Buzz is ready to clock in! His ideal home will give him plenty of physical exercise and opportunities to use his busy brain. Because when Buzz doesn't have an appropriate outlet for all that energy, he can get a little antsy — and a bored Buzz is not necessarily the Buzz you want running the meeting.  Buzz can take a little time to warm up to new people, but luckily, he has discovered one of life's greatest shortcuts to friendship:   FOOD. He is incredibly treat motivated, which makes building trust and working on training both easier and fun. Once Buzz decides you're his person, you've got yourself a loyal best friend for life. He bonds deeply with his people and loves being by their side. Buzz + Other Animals Buzz has reportedly lived with cats and did well with them. His previous home reported that he would simply ignore the cats and even allowed them to rub against him. Since becoming a Diamond, Buzz has also spent time around several social dogs and has done well. He can be a little rough-and-tumble when playing, but he's also perfectly capable of peacefully coexisting with other dogs when it's not playtime. Because Buzz is currently working through some pent-up energy and continuing to build his social skills, we feel a home without young children is the best fit for him right now. Buzz + Training Buzz is a smart guy who needs structure, consistency, and clear expectations. He's already completed a board-and-train program working on manners and social skills and did great with handlers he knew and trusted. Like many young, energetic dogs, though, new environments can be challenging. When he's surrounded by unfamiliar sights, sounds, smells, and distractions, Buzz can lose focus and become a little... bossy. His ideal human will be someone who is willing to continue his training, give him clear direction, and lovingly hold him accountable. Buzz doesn't need someone who expects him to figure everything out on his own — he needs someone who will show him the way and consistently follow through. His adoption will include follow-up sessions with his current trainer, so his new family will have support as they continue building on everything Buzz has learned. And now for the really important stuff… What's in Buzz? His Wisdom Panel DNA results are in, and apparently Buzz is basically a Canine United Nations. 48% Siberian Husky 18% Labrador Retriever 10% American Pit Bull Terrier 8% Boxer 5% American Bulldog 2% Alaskan Malamute 2% Rottweiler 2% German Shorthaired Pointer 2% German Shepherd 1% American Staffordshire Terrier 1% Golden Retriever 1% Chihuahua So, basically, Buzz is 48% Husky, 18% Lab, and 100% Buzz. If you're looking for an active, intelligent dog who will keep you moving, challenge you to keep up with your training game, and become incredibly loyal once you've earned his trust, Buzz is ready to meet you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. ► We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation ► We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ozzy! Looking for a best friend with a BIG personality packed into a tiny body? Meet Ozzy! This adorable micro bully is around 3 years old and has absolutely no idea he's not the center of the universe... and honestly, we're not about to tell him otherwise. Ozzy is equal parts comedian, cuddle bug, and adventure buddy. He's a total Velcro dog who loves being with his people, but he's also perfectly happy entertaining himself with toys, chewing on a good bone, or snoozing nearby while you relax. His leash manners are generally great, although he occasionally gets so excited that he forgets his feet belong on the ground. And fair warning—Ozzy firmly believes he's the official Walmart greeter of the world. Every person he meets is obviously there to see him! Ozzy enjoys getting out and about and has been a rockstar on outings to local farmers markets and around town. He loves meeting new people, has done well around other dogs, and is always ready to soak up attention and make new friends. Like many bullies, Ozzy is confident, clever, and a little bit opinionated. He'll happily see if he can convince you that he should make the rules, but he responds wonderfully to kind, consistent leadership. Simple expectations like waiting at doors, sitting politely for meals, and respecting boundaries help him be the very best version of himself. Once he knows you're in charge, he's an incredible companion. Ozzy is looking for a family that understands one important quirk: he sleeps very deeply. In his previous home, he was startled awake and reacted by biting someone who unexpectedly touched him while he was sleeping. Since then, his foster has found that simply waking him with a gentle voice before touching him works beautifully. He sleeps soundly in his crate at night and has done wonderfully with this routine.  Because Ozzy has a prey drive, he'll need a home without cats, rabbits, or other small animals. The good news? He enjoys other dogs and has been a friendly, social boy with his canine pals. Ozzy also has allergies, but they're easily managed with a daily chew, and he takes it like a champ. It's just a small part of his routine that helps keep him feeling his best! If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh every day, happily tag along on adventures, charm everyone he meets, Ozzy is ready to be your ride-or-die. He's goofy, affectionate, stubborn in the most entertaining way, and overflowing with love. Life is simply more fun with Ozzy by your side! If you're looking for a fun-loving sidekick with a heart as big as her personality, Bleu is your girl! This pocket-sized sweetheart is bursting with love, goofy charm, and enough happy energy to brighten every day. Bleu is house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows several tricks. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Scooby! Scooby is one smart cookie with a whole lot of personality — and let’s be honest, those ears are doing some serious heavy lifting in the personality department. We’re pretty sure at least one of them is permanently tuned in to the sound of a treat bag opening. He is also pretty darn good at entertaining himself. Tossing a toy into the air and catching it? Check. Whipping it around like he just won the Super Bowl? Check. Chasing his own tail because apparently that's a perfectly reasonable way to spend an afternoon? Absolutely. But Scooby doesn't want to have all the fun by himself. He loves playing with his people, especially a good game of tug-of-war or chasing a squeaky ball. He enjoys fetch, too — although he's figured out that if he looks at your hand first, there's a pretty good chance a treat might magically appear. He's a negotiator.  And if there's water involved? Even better! Scooby loves being outdoors and has a serious appreciation for playing in the water. He is always ready for an adventure and would happily be your sidekick for walks, exploring, and outdoor fun.  Scooby is crate trained and has great leash manners. He knows sit, lay down, no, and come here, and he has even mastered the art of waiting for permission before eating his dinner. He'll wait patiently for that "go"… although there may be a little drool involved.  Scooby needs a human who is willing to keep him on his toes — in the best way! He’s smart, eager to please, and very treat motivated, so he’s a fun dog to train. His ideal person will continue working with him, set clear boundaries, and be consistent about following through. He may try to convince you that the rules are merely suggestions (those ears can be very persuasive!), so he needs someone confident enough to say, “Nice try, Scoob,” and stick to the plan. A note about Scooby's adoption Scooby did have a nip incident, and unfortunately, we don't have enough information about what triggered it or exactly why it happened. Because we don't want to make assumptions about the circumstances, we're looking for an adopter who understands that dogs communicate in different ways and is willing to give Scooby the structure, patience, and continued guidance he needs to succeed. We're happy to talk openly with potential adopters about what we know and don't know about the incident so that everyone can make an informed decision about whether Scooby is the right match. Because Scooby has so much to offer, we don't want one unexplained moment to define the rest of his story. He's goofy. He's smart. He's loyal. He's playful. He's an adventurer. And he's a professional treat enthusiast. If you're looking for a fun-loving best friend who will make you laugh, keep you moving, sit on your feet, and happily follow you wherever the adventure leads… Scooby is ready to meet you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
Are you looking for the dog equivalent of a #Girlboss? Meet Maddie! Before becoming a Diamond, Maddie had very little socialization with people or other animals. As she has been given the opportunity to expand her social circle, her true personality has started to shine through — and this girl is fun-loving, confident, playful, and just a little bit bossy! Maddie is still a work in progress, and we want to be honest about what she needs in her furever home. She has bonded very strongly with her foster and is, for the most part, an absolute gem with her. However, Maddie experiences significant stranger danger and can be uncomfortable with new people. She can also be reactive when meeting unfamiliar dogs. The wonderful thing about Maddie is that once she trusts you, she truly lets her personality shine. She has bonded closely with her foster fur-siblings and has developed an especially sweet relationship with her little foster fur brother, who she has proudly appointed as her emotional support sidekick. Maddie is currently working with a trainer to help her learn to better manage her emotions and navigate new people and situations. Her forever family will need to be patient, understanding, and committed to continuing that work. To help set everyone up for success, Maddie comes with sponsored training to support her transition into her new home. And while Maddie may need some extra time and patience, she is absolutely worth it. Once you earn Maddie's trust, you get to experience the very best of her. Her big smile, sweet kisses, playful nature, intense burrowing cuddles, and those adorable sighs of contentment will make you feel like the most special person in the world. Maddie loves deeply and has so much love to give to the people she considers her own. We are currently recommending a home without children and, if there are other dogs, they should be friendly, patient, well-rounded dogs who can give Maddie the space and time she needs to feel comfortable. Maddie isn't looking for someone who expects perfection. She's looking for someone willing to see her potential, respect her boundaries, continue her training, and give her the time she needs to become her best self. For the right person, Maddie will be so much more than a #Girlboss — she'll be your loyal, loving, hilarious, cuddly best friend. ❤️  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Goose! Goose is a happy-go-lucky, handsome boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This lovable guy is friendly with everyone he meets and has a wonderful, affectionate nature. Goose is dog-friendly, but because of his young age and enthusiastic play style, he would do best in a home without small dogs or cats. Goose has had a difficult experience in the past and was previously attacked by another dog, so dog introductions should be slow, thoughtful, and allow him time to feel comfortable. With patience and proper introductions, Goose has shown that he can enjoy the company of canine friends. Goose came to us as a stray and appears to have missed out on some basic training, but he is eager to learn! He is highly motivated by snacks. His leash skills are also a work in progress—there is just so much in the world for Goose to explore! With consistency and guidance, he is learning to focus on his person and become the best walking buddy he can be. Because Goose is an active, curious young dog, he would do best in a home with a secure fenced-in yard where he can safely burn off energy, play, and enjoy some outdoor time. A family who can provide him with exercise, structure, and continued training will help Goose become the amazing companion we know he can be. After some activity and adventure, Goose is happiest relaxing with his people and soaking up some well-earned snuggles. His sweet personality, goofy charm, and loving nature make him a wonderful companion for a family ready to help him continue growing.
