Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Buzz is a young energetic pup who needs structure and clear boundaries.  Buzz has a lot of energy, and if nowhere to use it, he can become quite antsy.  Buzz does take time to warm up to new people, however he is quite food motivated which helps, and once he accepts you, you have a loyal best friend.  A home with a fenced yard for fetch or an active home that will take him on long walks and hikes, as well as taking him to training classes.  Buzz would likely love scent work or an agility classes.  Buzz is reported to be good with cats, in a former home it was reported he ignores the cats he resided with and allowed them to rub on him.  Buzz has been around a few social dogs since becoming a Diamond and has done well, can play a little rough but also has no problem just coexisting when it's not play time.  He is currently frustrated with pent up energy, and we feel he would do best in a home without young kids at this time.Buzz is very treat motivated, making training easier and fun with him.  Buzz is currently in board and train to work on some manners and social skills, he has been through a basic training class as well and did great with known, confident handlers.  However, in a new place with new smells, sights and sounds, he does need support to maintain focus on his handler, or else he becomes bossy.  Buzz is seeking a home to bounce to after his board and train, which would include follow up sessions with his current trainer!  If you have an active lifestyle – avid outdoors person, busy farm, and looking for a new best friend to be by your side, please reach for more information to see if you are a good match with Buzz.  Once he’s bonded with you, it is forever, and he is very loyal.  He just needs structure, activity, and time. For Fun!Also - his Wisdom Panel DNA Results came back with the following mix:48% Siberian Husky18% Labrador Retriever10% American Pit Bull Terrier8% Boxer5% American Bulldog2% Alaskan Malamute2% Rottweiler2% German Shorthaired Pointer2% German Shepherd1% American Staffordshire Terrier1% Goldern Retriever1% ChihualaVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This young boy is under a year old and full of life and personality. He’s playful, energetic, and loves to engage with people—making him a great fit for an active home. He does very well with both kids and adults and enjoys being around people. He also gets along well with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a canine companion or regular social interaction. His behavior around cats is currently unknown. He is not yet neutered, but will be prior to adoption. Theo will also need regular bathing and grooming to maintain his type of fur which is somewhat wiry.  If you’re looking for a friendly, social, and fun-loving young dog to grow with your family, he may be the perfect match.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. ► We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation ► We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ozzy!   Ozzy appears to be a microbully and is about three years old.  Ozzy being cute as can be is an understatement, he is a lot of personality in his little body!  He is also a complete velcro dog that wants to be with people.  He will play with toys, lay next to you, or contently chew a bone. He is working on his leash skills, however, he is easily excited and pulls on the leash.  Further, he thinks he is a Walmart greeter for any situation that involves meeting people, as you know, everyone is here to visit Ozzy in Ozzy's world.   Ozzy was in a home, however was returned after a bite incident.  It is reported that while sleeping, he was startled and bit the person laying with him in the face. While in foster, it has become clear that Ozzy sleeps very soundly, 'out cold'.  He is easily startled awake when in a deep sleep - therefore his foster has made sure to verbally wake him before touching him.  He also sleeps in his crate over night without issue.     Ozzy can be very bossy and wants to be in control.  However, he has responded well when advised he is not the boss, and there are rules and boundaries he needs to follow.  He tends to test everyone to see who will make him listen, so it is important that you can stand your ground.  Nothing crazy, just asking him to sit and wait until your ready to go out the door, waiting for his meal, and removing him from the furniture when he is acting foolish.  All these little things and more add up to a more respectful relationship, rather than Ozzy being a little dictator.  Training classes would probably be a HUGE bonus to help him bond with his new people and have added structure.   Ozzy has a lot of love and energy to share with his people.  With the nice weather Ozzy has enjoyed lots of outings, including to the local farm markets and has been great with everyone he meets, people and dogs.  The love and excitement he has when he sees his favorite people shows, and despite him being a stubborn, bossy bully at times, he is mostly a small, compact, larger than life lovebug! Ozzy does have a prey drive - so no other small animals for Ozzy, like cats or rabbits. Ozzy is dog friendly!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Scooby is a very obedient, faithful and goofy best friend, he is looking for a loving family.  Scooby is great at entertaining himself  throwing the toy up in the air and catching it or whipping it around, or chasing his tail. He also enjoys playing with his people.  He prefers tug of war or a squeaky ball,  he loves to fetch when there’s a treat involved, which he will look at your hand first before dropping the ball.  Scooby loves the outdoors and loves playing in water. He is always up for an adventure and loves butt scratches. He is crate trained, has fantastic leash manners, understands sit, lay down, no, come here and does wait until you say go to eat his food although there will be some drool.  Scooby is very smart, eager to please and will do anything for a treat and to be by your side or sitting on your feet or lap.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for the dog equivalent of a #Girlboss?    Perhaps a pittie Miranda Priestly??    Before becoming a Diamond, Maddie was not socialized with people or animals and, as she has started expanding her social circle, her true bossy lady personality has truly emerged…so if you’re looking for a pup to take over your day-to-day life decisions, Maddie is your girl!   In all seriousness, Maddie is a work in progress.    Maddie has attached very strongly to her foster, and is (mostly, lol) a perfect gem for her, but she does have intense stranger danger which, in true #girlboss style, she has no problem showing.    She reacts similarly to new dogs, although has bonded closely with her foster fur-siblings and particularly with her little foster fur-brother (who she has turned into her emotional support animal).  Maddie is working with a trainer to help her to better emotionally regulate, and she will need a home that will be patient with her and support her continued progress.      But my goodness, is she worth it!    Being loved by Maddie is like having the sun shine on you  everyday , with her big smile, sweet kisses, playful nature, intense, burrowing cuddles, and sighs of contentment.    If you are that special person (or persons!) who can help Maddie become her best self, you will never regret it.    Maddie is sponsored with training to continue her journey. Until Maddie becomes her best self, we are recommending no kids and only friendly, patient and well-rounded dogs for siblings.  If you are interested in meeting Maddie, please fill out an adoption application online ( https://diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms ).
