Story
Name: Gunner Breed: Mixed DOB/Sex: 1/19/18. MN. Known health issues: None at this time. Good with: Most dogs. Can be pushy if he can get away with it. Resource guards from other dogs. NO DOG PARKS. NO CATS. NO BIRDS. NO POCKET PETS. Adult only home. Bite history: Yes Needs: An active sporting/hiking home, or working home. Gunner is 100% AMAZING. This guy has drive, heart, and the work ethic that makes him everything I would want in a sport dog. He's fast, athletic, and never quits. His abilities are only limited by my own. Gunner participates in Dock Diving and LIVES for it. He now sports a PB of 21' 5" in distance, and 7.00sec in speed. And I know he has more in him! 2022 has been a great season for him. Gunner has had a few opportunities to try out lure coursing, and also greatly enjoys it. He recently started toss & fetch disc league and is also addicted. With one on one dedication, the sky is the limit! We've attended a bikejoring seminar, and have a carting seminar coming up, and are excited to add to his repertoire with the upcoming fall weather. Anything you can throw at this guy - he is down for! Gunner is not for the novice handler, and needs someone experienced with high-drive dogs. He's flashy, loud, and sure to grab attention. He settles reasonably well in the home, as long as his daily needs are met, and is generally an easy keeper. He will let himself out of his crate, if bored and looking for something to do. He's good for grooming and the vet, though muzzled as a precaution. He is neutral out and about in the world, and easy to take everywhere. If you are his person, he's down for snuggles, and is very physical with his affection. He's super clean, and even on the muddiest days, somehow comes in relatively clean, even after going hard. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him, and for the right person, there is no better partner. Gunner is happy as an only dog, or can live with the right matched companions. He is neutral with most, as long as they respect his space. He will resource guard food/toys that he values from other dogs. No cats, birds, or small prey animals for this guy. Gunner will only be placed in a home, that will allow him to reach his full potential. A sport home is a MUST for this guy. If you are looking for a competitive partner, Gunner is your guy! ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Story
Name: Chipotle D.O.B./Sex: ~Oct 2018, MN Breed: Unknown Mix Known health issues: Slightly sensitive trachea. Does not cause any issues at this time. Good with: Select dogs. Does not share high value items. NO CATS. NO DOG PARKS. Adult only home. Chipotle is a pint sized (~55lb) Energizer Bunny and fabulous little sport prospect for the dedicated enthusiast. He excels at anything he tries, and has a 'never quit' type personality. Anything you're up for, he's your man! Chipotle currently enjoys, and competes in the local House League at K9 Fun Zone. This (2022) season he now boasts at personal best of 20' 5" in distance, and 6.94 sec in speed retrieve!! He has been improving consistently, and I hope to expose him to the vertical jump soon. He is only limited by my lack of individual time to spend training his form. https://youtube.com/shorts/0RmX-C_wm3U I recently had the opportunity to take him Lure Coursing at Laliberte Farm. He did great! A new sport for him, and I hope to bring him back again soon. Here's a video of one of his run attempts on his first ever day! https://youtu.be/nKYog9lwOe0 550y course. I have confidence his visual tracking of the lure will only increase, as well as his speed. Chipotle bonds super well to his person, and is more of a one person type dog. He is not a fan of strangers handling him, and needs time spent building mutual respect. He is very affectionate with his person. He is a resource guarder, and needs a home that will appropriately manage these tendencies. He is not a soft dog, and will push back, and take whenever given the opportunity. If you channel this into his work, he gives back 100%. Chipotle is a pleasure to walk, and can go just about anywhere. He is used to, and works well on the prong. He keeps to himself, and generally ignores the world around him. We took a video a few months ago on a walk, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-IA-7NpXso Chipotle is now in his third year in rescue, and doesn't deserve to be continuously overlooked. He has heart, he has drive, and needs only that one special person to fall in love with him. Let's make 2023 his year! ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Story
Name: Whiplash Breed: Rottweiler Age/Sex: FS, Approx 2018 Known medical issues: None at this time. Good with: Most dogs, in a controlled environment. NO KIDS. NO CATS. NO DOG PARKS. ADULT WOMEN ONLY HOME Bite History: Yes Whiplash is an incredibly fun-loving dog. She wants to be with you, and doing something, all the time! From her athletic pursuits, to cuddling on the couch, she always gives it 1000%! Rottweilers bond HARD to their people, and it's been tough for her, not having found her forever family, but she faces each day with a smile. It's hard to be in a bad mood with Whiplash around 🥰 Whiplash has dabbled in a few sports, and loves them ALL! She hopes to get more formally involved in 2023, though it would be awesome if that was with her forever family! Dock diving, lure coursing, and agility have all been met with zest! She's game for just about anything, and is an amazing partner ❤️ Whiplash's food drive is through the roof, which can be a positive, and a hinderence. She has excellent ball, and toy drive, and strong prey drive. She's a whole lot of dog, in a torpedo package! Forget what you know about "oversized, lazy Rottweilers", this girl will set you straight! The Rottweiler is a working breed, and Whiplash has the workethic to make you proud! As awesome as she is she does have a fear based temperament. She needs a female, and adult ONLY home, with no cats, or small, prey like dogs. She does have a bite history, and while she warms up well to women, does not appreciate strangers manipulating her, like the vet. She is muzzle trained, and benefits from sedation to make her vet visits smooth. Once she has a bond with you, Whiplash is easy maintenance, and has no issues with general grooming, nails, tooth brushing, etc. She's great in the car, and in her crate, though beds are known to occasionally explode 😅 Whiplash gets along with most med- large dogs, as long as their energies match. She has displayed no SSA, and enjoys both male and female canine companions. This super, awesome girl deserves the world. Let's make 2023 the year she goes home! Story
Name: Griffin Breed: GSD Age/Sex: 10/7/2017/MN Known health issues: Seasonal Allergies Good with: Most dogs NO CATS. NO KIDS. NO DOG PARKS. Adult only home. Bite history: Yes Needs: An active sporting/working/biking/hiking home. Griffin is a gorgeous young dog, with a zest for life. He is lower drive (but NOT low energy!), so gaining his focus creates an extra challenge with his training. He's very independent in thought, and sometimes wonders 'what else' he could be doing. He gets bored very easily, and always wants to be a part of the action. He is easily one of the most vocal dogs here, and is happy to talk his way through life. He recently completed a beginner agility fun class, and easily tackled the obstacles. Confidence is not a problem, focus is! He has huge potential in the right hands, and perfect for someone wanting a bit of a challenge with their training. He has also attended a 4 week board & train with the wonderful Holly at Grassroots K9 and began ECollar work, as well as item detection. Lots of directions you can go with him, and you'll never be bored! Griffin LOVES to run, and can go all day. He is your shadow, and partner, and ready to go at a moment's notice. He is a challenge to turn 'off' if not appropriately stimulated and exercised for the day. He firmly believes there's always something to be done! If you're ready to commit to a working relationship, and want a true partner, Griffin is waiting for your email! ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Story
Name: Chef Breed: GSD Age/Sex: April 4, 2018 M/N Known health issues: Right hind amputation. Good with: Most dogs NO CATS. NO KIDS. NO DOG PARKS. Adult only home. Bite history: Yes Chef is a fun loving, active boy, who let's nothing in life slow him down. He recently (July 20th, 2021) had his rear right hind leg amputated, but is recovering well, and looks forward to leading an active, otherwise normal lifestyle. Chef is not a fan of strangers. He's great out and about, loves hiking, running, swimming, etc, but is not a dog to let people approach. He will take several introductions to strangers in the home, but much prefers to be in his crate for safety. He does not like everyone he meets, nor should he be expected to, however is expected to behave and act civilly. It is extremely important that his future home be committed to his training, ongoing, for life. He is not for a first dog, or GSD owner. A home without frequent guests is to his benefit. Chef is generally quite social with other dogs, large or small, and has no preference on sex. He does not tolerate rude dogs well, and will stand up for himself quite assertively. Chef is looking for an active partner in life, that loves to work their dog, and enjoys engagement. He bonds extremely well with his person, and loves to try new things. He is a confident dog, with good toy drive that can be further increased. Very food motivated as well. Quiet in the house, excellent in his crate, walks well on leash. His ability is only limited by your imagination! If you are looking for a devoted life partner, Chef's your guy! ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded. Story
Name: Blaze Breed: GSD Age/Sex: 7/20/2018/MN Known health issues: None at this time. Good with: Most dogs, with proper introductions. NO CATS. NO KIDS. NO DOG PARKS. Adult only home. Bite history: Yes Needs: An active sporting/working/biking/hiking home. Blaze is a handsome young man, who is looking for an experienced GSD person to guide him through life. He can be quite reserved with new people, and enjoys having his personal space respected. If you become a part of his inner circle, then you will get to see his affectionate side! Blaze struggles a bit with confidence, and can act out when he is unsure. He very much enjoys learning new things, and has grown a lot during his stay. He has built a good relationship with myself, but does not enjoy strangers handling him (groomer, vet etc). A home that will take time building these relationships, so he can be successful is key. Blaze is a pretty active guy, he's lean and athletic, and happy to go all day long. He has tons of potential, and is looking forward to finding that match to make him shine! He really shines when he succeeds, and needs a patient person to allow him to learn and grow. He enjoys chasing, running, and dabbling in the water. Blaze gets along with most of the dogs here at Inugoya. He appreciates a calm, neutral introduction, but is generally quite tolerant, and enjoys playing with trusted canine friends. Blaze is coming up on his third Christmas in rescue, and would really like to spend the holiday season in his new home. If he sounds like the dog for you, he hopes to hear from you soon! ________________________________ Adoption through Inugoya includes: - the dog - All vaccinations & required boosters; DA2PPv, Bordetella, Lyme, Leptospirosis, and Rabies - 4DX Blood Test (Heartworm, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis) - Age appropriate wellness blood screen - Fecal test - Deworming & Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention - Spay/Neuter - Microchip - Hip xray for all dogs that undergo anesthesia - All medical needs assessed and concluded.
