Story
KarmaFemale spayedChocolate lab mix60lbs4 years Meet Karma! This beautiful girl is so sweet! She may take alittle time to feel comfortable and open up but when she does she is a super sweet 60 lb lap dog who wants to be pet and have belly rubs nonstop. Karma gets along with her 2 foster sisters. In general shes pretty dog friendly but doesnt appreciate when other dogs go near her while shes eating or has a bone. She is pretty low to medium energy. She just loves to be by your side and cuddle and sprawl out on a comfy couch or bed. She naps on her dog bed while foster mom works from home. And loves to have some bones to chew on to keep herself busy. While her fosters leave the house she is crated, she will cry alittle until she settles in but she is not destructive, and has had no accidents in her foster home. Foster Family's favorite thing about Karma is her sweet personality and the way she likes to sneak kisses while you’re not looking. If you are interested in Karma, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2535207##

Story
ArloNeuteredLab retriever mixDOB: 1/28/2018Weight: 70Lbs Hi everybody! My name is Arlo. I’m 7 years young , but don’t let that fool you I still have the energy of a 4 year old . You may have heard of me…I’m the handsome cancer free boy ! My foster mom told me to try to describe some of my favorite things so here they are:  - I love to be around you and I love to be the center of attention. I just love love.  - I love food and treats! However I can get excited taking the treat so it’s best to have a flat hand  - I love to look at you with my BIG soulful eye (my foster mom says that I’ve mastered the puppy dog eye) - I love to go on walks ‍!!!! - I LOVE my chew toys!!! I’m preoccupied for hours chewing away (don’t worry I won’t chew on your furniture if I don’t have a chew toy!!)- I love to play with other dogs, but when overly stimulated, I can play a little rough Thing I’ve been tested with:- Kids…older kids would be best - Dogs - Car rides - Leash…I’m pretty good..I do pull when I’m interested in something though. - Running around the back yard - Your heart My foster mom loves my energy, and my friendly demeanor. She loves that I will snuggle for a little while before bed then, even though I’m allowed on the bed, I sleep on the dog bed next to the bed. She says I’m a dork (in a good way). I’m just a dog, I may or may not have tested the waters with my foster mom for the first little while but now we understand each other…will you give me a chance so we can get to know each other? If you are interested in Arlo, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2360232##

Story
Dumpling  Female Bully (Definitely part hippo) 9months old35lbs  Imagine this: it’s 1986 — Mike Tyson just became the youngest heavyweight world champion, Labyrinth just hit theaters, and life is good. Then your kids start begging for a dog, and BAM — a real-life Ello Worm look-alike named Dumpling shows up for adoption. I mean honestly, who wouldn’t want a 35-pound bowling ball that snorts, bulldozes through life without any concept of personal space, and could probably give Ed Oliver a run for his money in tackling drills? Sure, she might be part hippo, but this girl’s got heart. She loves dogs of all sizes and doesn’t bat an eye at the small creatures — she’s currently coexisting peacefully with three dogs and three lizards. Now, fair warning — her leash skills are… let’s just say unique. Walking Dumpling feels a bit like trying to steer a shopping cart with one wobbly wheel and a dream. You’re not walking her — you’re auditioning for a spot on “Dancing with the Paws.” We do recommend a home with sturdy children… unless, of course, you don’t mind your kid getting leveled by a flying Cam Skattebo wannabe. And before you ask — yes, Dumpling does have some non-linebacker qualities! She’s fully crate-trained and prefers to eat and sleep there, as long as she’s got a fluffy bed to curl up on. Dumpling also has a chronic skin condition — it’s something she’ll likely manage for life. Some days it’ll be great, some days a little itchy, but she’s handling it like the queen she is. With love, care, and a comfy bed, she’ll keep shining (and snorting) through it all. So if you’re ready to add a snorty, wiggly, hippo-esque linebacker to your lineup — apply today before the Buffalo Bills beat you to it. If you are interested in Dumpling, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2554695##

Story
CharminRottweiler Female, mandatory spay date TBDAge: approx. 4yrs Weight: approx. 70lbs (needs to gain more weight)  Meet Charmin! This gorgeous, recent momma has instantly won over the heart of her foster mom and has won over everyone else she’s met within minutes! Unfortunately we will never truly know the background of our foster pups, we’ve been told Charmin’s has a sad story. She also carries over some heartbreaking traits to support this story.  She does not like any kind of yelling or sudden quick movements, it makes her immediately cower and become submissive Although she’s had an unlucky past, she has survived some unlucky events!  Charmin is beyond loving! Honestly if you don’t love the idea of having a dog physically touching you and needing you at all times, Charmin is not for you! Her happy place is physically in your lap. AT ALL TIMES! It’s what foster momma loves best about her.  She has been very nervous so she finds comfort in a human. As shes began to open up, she’s starting to play with stuffies . She hasn’t met any little kids yet, but her personality makes foster momma believe she’d be great with kids. However, if the household is an active, loud and chaotic one, it might not be a great space for her to bloom. Although I have no doubt as time goes on she will flourish, a calmer home where she receives majority of attention and cuddles is what she needs to help heal from trauma.  She has been good with dogs she’s met so far, and has lived with other dogs but when she’s comfortable she can have a dominant trait and has tried to mount other dogs. She’s usually pretty unbothered and laid back for the most part, but as she gets more comfortable she might open up more. NO CATS or small critters for this girl!   Charmin has been working on crate training at night and while foster mom is not home. She keeps it clean. But does whine if she’s not in the same room as you at night so her crate is right next to the bed! Charmin told me she would much rather be asleep right next to you on the bed! She has not had any accidents in the home but is let out frequently to help potty train just in case!  Charmin does suffer from some separation anxiety, but since she’s been here she’s showing improvements every day! She’s incredibly smart, catches on quick and is very food motivated. She’s quite the mooch so if you are a sucker for the “puss in boots” sad eyes, it’s best not to eat around her or you will succumb to the power of the ! She so badly wants to be loved and needed, and she deserves every bit of it! Some might look at this as a downfall but for those who equally need her in return, she will be your BEST FRIEND and loyal companion as she’s already shown to be! Charmin is not just a dog, she’s a survivor and really needs a companion who will devote the same energy to her! If you are interested in Charmin, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2555937##

Story
EbonyBreed: Lab mixDOB: 7/30/25Weight: 16 lbsSex: FemaleSpay date scheduled  Ebony is a sweet, playful pup that loves everyone  She loves to be wherever you are. Her favorite things are toys, treats and chew bones. She loves her chew bones!  Ebony is good with other dogs and children.  She is in her teething stage so older children who understand her puppy play would be a better fit. We are not sure about cats since her foster Mom doesn't have any cats but she would probably want to play with them. Ebony loves to play with you or by herself. She loves to zoomie around with a toy in her mouth.Ebony is learning to potty outside. She is doing well when kept on a schedule.  She is still a young puppy and gets rewarded with a treat when she potties outside.  Ebony already knows the sit command and will  learn more commands fast as long as treats are involved. Ebby also loves to chase leaves in the wind . She is a mischievous pup who is learning what "No" means. She will look up at you with her beautiful eyes and floppy ears wondering why she can not have what she wants.    Ebony sleeps in her crate all night long and keeps it clean. If she cries during the night or early morning hours it means she needs to go outside to potty. After she will go back in her crate and sleep until morning.  She also stays in her crate when foster mom needs to go somewhere. Her crate is always clean when foster Mom returns. Her foster Mom loves her beautiful black face with her brown eyebrows, chest and legs. Also the way she snuggles on the coach and falls asleep next to her. Ebony will make someone a very loving companion. ‍ If you are interested in Ebony, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2555845##

Story
Peeta7 months oldShepherd mix29 lbsSpayed female Meet Peeta, a pocket-sized Shepherd sweetheart from Alabama who is now loving life in Buffalo…especially the snow (and eating it!). This happy-go-lucky girl is playful, cuddly, and full of personality. She adores belly rubs, gives gentle kisses to other dogs, and gets along wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats alike. Peeta is crate and leash trained, very food motivated, and getting better with potty training every day. She’s curious, smart, and eager to please-the perfect combo for continued training and bonding. Like any puppy, she has a mischievous streak (slippers and counter snacks beware!), but her sweet nature and joyful spirit more than make up for it. Peeta loves adventuring with her humans, napping in the sunshine, EATING, and tossing around squeaky stuffies. She’s the perfect mix of spunky and sweet. If you’re looking for a lovable, snow chasing, cuddle-loving companion, Peeta’s your girl!
