Story

Nero is an amazing, loving & sweet Pit Bull mix. He has been a perfect addition to our family for almost 6 years, but with our new living situation cannot come with us. Nero is a great listener, is fully potty trained & only has an accident when he isn’t taken out when needed. Nero does have skin allergies that need attention that we have not been able to fully address & treat. Nero is a rescue so he is timid sometimes & does require a thunder jacket when there are fireworks, rain or thunder. Nero is extremely quiet & really only growls or barks when he hears something he’s not sure about. With whoever takes this sweet boy into their home, we would like to be able to visit when it is convenient as we are going to miss having him greet us when we come home & loving us as much as we love him.

I’m a 2-year-old, Lab mix with the softest fur and big brown eyes that people can’t help but fall in love with. After you give me a treat or two, I’ll be your loyal shadow and best snuggle buddy. I adore attention from my people — pets, belly rubs, and couch cuddles are my absolute favorite. And did I mention treats? Oh my goodness, those are the best! Offer me a snack, and I’ll happily follow you anywhere. Toys are also my jam — squeaky, chewy, bouncy, I love them all! I even enjoy romping around with my canine foster brother. He’s a little guy, so I make sure to play gently with him. After playtime, you’ll usually find me curled up on the couch with a good bone or snoozing the afternoon away. I am a 7 month old Lab/Hound mix or at least that is what we have been told, what we do know for sure is that I am a good boy! My foster mom tells me I am quite handsome, with my dreamy eyes and my beautiful smile, what do you think? People seem to like to pet me because I have been told I have the softest fur and that is ok because I love to be petted. I love all the attention I get when I am out in public, especially when those little kids come around, I love them! I give them the biggest kisses when I see them and I have even been known to try to clean their ears, well someone’s got to do it, why not me. I love playing with my foster siblings, especially when we can romp around in the backyard and you never know, you may find me splashing in the kiddie pool..I hope the swimming weather stays around a bit longer. I love toys, any toys but I have also been known to pull the stuffing out of some of them, I know I shouldn’t, but it is so much fun! Sometimes you may find me just sitting by myself chewing on a good bone, that is kind of like humans reading a good book right? I am also crate trained and I sleep in it all night without a peep but if you want me to keep you warm at night, I am certainly up for that as well. I am almost completely potty trained and with patience and schedule, I will have that conquered in no time and those things called cookies or treats are so yummy and I like to be a good boy so I can get lots of them. Meet Meeps! Meeps is a sweet PomChi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) weighing about 12 pounds. This black-and-tan girl is 5 years old and makes a wonderful little companion. She does great with dogs her size and currently lives happily with a 20-lb resident dog—they love to play together. Meeps would do well in a home with a dog who matches her energy level, or in a home where she can be the only pet. Meeps is very affectionate and bonded quickly with her foster parent. She is leash trained, crate trained, and does not chew. She enjoys going for walks and loves riding in the car. Like many small dogs, Meeps can be a bit vocal when meeting new people—she just likes to announce their arrival and make sure everyone is aware there’s a guest in the house. Once introductions are made, she settles in nicely. According to prior experience, she has done well with cats and children, though her foster home has not had the opportunity to test this directly. She was previously pee-pad trained, and her foster family is actively working on full housebreaking. Meeps is a gentle, loving girl who would make an excellent companion. Kay is a 14-month-old, 16-pound mini poodle who is looking for her furever home. She is sweet, snuggly, and playful. Kay can be shy when first meeting new people but give her a little time and patience and her loving personality truly shines through. Once she warms up, she becomes a devoted cuddle buddy who loves being close to her people. She wants to be with her foster mom all the time! She gets along quite well with the resident dogs and cat. Kay is fully house-broken, well- behaved in the home, and is making excellent progress walking on leash. She grew up with kids of all ages so can interact with them as well. She already knows her basic commands — sit, stay, and come — and she absolutely loves playing fetch! One of Kay’s most unique features is her one beautiful multi-colored eye, with both blue and brown. Her other eye is all brown. Kay is not a fan of her crate but crate training is in progress, and she will need to continue this training in her new home with patience and consistency. Kay is incredibly smart and will need a daily walk and puzzle toys to maintain her good behavior. She is also used to a fenced in yard where she can play and run.
