Story
Phoebe belonged to a family friend since she was a puppy. She started getting bigger breeds (Pit Bulls, Caine Corso) and one of her females kept going after Phoebe and hurting her. This was about 3 years ago. I am moving into a place that does not allow pets and financially, I'm having trouble finding dog food she will eat that is affordable. She definitely has dental issues and has to have soft dog food, preferrably pate. She is very attached to me and who ever may adopt her, she will become attached to you as well.

Story
Mercedes was adopted from us 5-1/2 yrs ago but recently returned due to high separation anxiety. She is approximately 7 yrs old and is a Mastiff/Boxer mix. She lived with another large dog and did ok.....but is not good with small dogs. She was recently surrendered back to us, primarily due to her high separation anxiety---she does NOT like to be left alone. She is medicated to help with the issue. Mercedes loves to go for walks and be near and with her people. She would do best in a home where she is either the center of attention and/or her owner is home a lot. 8/1/2023---Mercedes is now enrolled in our prison training program.  Anyone interested in her must contact us via email to set up a time to meet her.  She is not at the shelter.....all meetings will occur at the prison once an appointment is scheduled.   Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
Brooklyn is approximately 4 yrs old.  She can be shy with new people at first but if given time she warms up and enjoys attention. We are unaware of how she is with kids and cats.  She should meet any new dog before adoption is approved and a decision is made. She does have accidents in her kennel so she may need housetrained.  She does know some commands and will work for food. Here is a link to a TikTok video of her: https://www.tiktok.com/@caninemoon/video/7197577053695249706?lang=en Anyone interested in her must meet her and complete an application, in person, before a decision will be made for her adopter. Boone is a 54 lbs Boxer mix.  He is friendly and seems to be ok with other dogs....he loves to play.  He will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved. If you are interested in Boone please stop at the shelter to meet him and complete an application. Story
Bo will need a home that is super patient and willing to give him time to decompress.  You will also have to come to the shelter more than once to visit with him. He is fine with our staff but takes time to warm up to ALL new people.  He reacts ok to some dogs but MUST meet and new housemates.  He was in a home prior to coming here, for a short time, and they said he would growl at their children from time to time (which is why they brought him to us).  So we suggest NO children.   Anyone interested in meeting him MUST come to the shelter and complete an application if you decide you would like to be considered.   ***better photos will be posted soon Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt.
