Story
Finn is 6 years old. We need to re-home him because we are moving overseas. He was an inside dog for the first 4 years. We moved him outside 2 years ago because we got a male dog and Finny started marking inside. He would very much prefer to be inside again. Because of this, I would recommend he be in a one dog household if inside. Or, only inside with females. He gets along well with other dogs and is social. We have 5 children so he’s used to young kids, but prefers older kids and adults. He’s very eager to please and extremely loyal. He’s around cats regularly, sometimes needs a reminder not to chase

Story
Ringo is a 3-year-old male Pomsky who was rescued from a puppy-mill situation. Because of his early experiences, he is extremely shy and fearful around unfamiliar people. He won't immediately approach someone for attention, and earning his trust takes time and patience. Once he trusts you, however, he can form a strong bond. Ringo is very dog-friendly and is much more comfortable around other dogs. A calm, confident dog in his new home could be a great influence on him. I previously tried to rehome Ringo, but it wasn't the right fit and he came back to me. Finding the right home this time is far more important than finding one quickly. Ringo needs someone who will let him adjust at his own pace without forcing interaction. Experience with shy or fearful dogs would be ideal. I'm rehoming Ringo because I have more dogs than I can give enough individual attention to. He deserves a patient home with someone willing to give him the time and opportunity to build confidence.

Story
Meet Rachel! 🐾 Rachel is a sweet girl who is looking for someone willing to give her the time and patience she needs to feel comfortable and confident. She is a little under-socialized, but once she gets to know you, she warms up quickly! After a few meetings, Rachel starts showing her sweet personality and really enjoys spending time with the staff here at WCHS. Rachel would benefit from continued training and confidence-building to help her become the happiest, most confident version of herself. She is looking for an adult home where she can be the center of attention, as she cannot live with other dogs or children. If you’re willing to give Rachel the patience and consistency she needs, she may just be the perfect companion for you! For more info email: operationsmanager@wchs.org
