Hello! My name is Essen!I`ve been waiting for my family to come along since February 2025. My New Year wish is that my new family will adopt me before I reach 365 days at GHS! I`m a big sweetheart and always start my day with snuggles in bed with foster mom! I`m a very friendly girl and enjoy meeting new humans. I prefer humans over dogs and would be a great family dog for a home with older kids. I am so smart and have learned so many new skills because of my awesome foster mom. I`ve also recently discovered that I am an excellent cottage buddy and love to swim!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Yes, older and mature children!OTHER DOGS: Other dogs cause me stress, so I`m looking to be the only dog.CATS: Since I like to chase little critters, I shouldn`t live with kitties.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best in a home that has dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Homes with yard preferred.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: I do well home alone!SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes!If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

Hello! My name is Francesca!I`m a super-duper friendly girl with the wiggliest bum you ever did see. Be warned though, my tail is a weapon made of solid material and may cause pain when whipped against your leg. I like making human friends. I`m a cuddly girl and would love to join a family that wants to play and snuggle with me.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Yes, with kids who won’t get knocked over by my exuberance.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, I can be very selective and often don`t make a good first impression. If you have questions or would like more information about how I am with other dogs before applying, please email adoptions@guelphhumane.caCATS: No, I do have a high prey drive and am not suitable for any cats or small animals.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has some dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Recommended.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings due to the tight spaces where other dogs may get into my bubble.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

Story
Hello! My name is Ophelia!I`m an outgoing girl and show off my wiggle bum and windmill tail when I meet new people (or even more when I see my human friends!). I am a snuggle bug and like to jump up to stand with you. I am heavy but will try not to knock you over! I am a strong girl and will need humans who are comfortable with my size and strength when going for walks because I do enjoy strolling and sniffing around on walkies!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: Yes, older and mature children. I am large, strong and like to jump up so would not be ideal for young or small children.OTHER DOGS: Potentially, I can be very selective and often don`t make a good first impression. If you have questions or would like more information about how I am with other dogs before applying, please email adoptions@guelphhumane.caFIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has large breed experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Recommended given my size and strength.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings given I can be reactive if dogs are too close.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

Story
Hello! My name is Sunny!I`m a lovely but sensitive boy. I don`t mind meeting new people (I like them even more when they have a tasty treat for me!) but I don`t enjoy them petting me until we are a bit more familiar with each other. Once I warm up to you, you will see how much I love pets and lean in for scratches. I do have a happy, stompy dance when you scratch my bum. I am pretty good at fetch and love to collect stuffy toys in a pile. I am the smartest boy and respond impressively quick to positive training. I would love to join a home with someone who has an interest in working with me to build my confidence. My new family should know that I have allergies and am on medication which helps stop my skin from being itchy and uncomfortable.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: I am looking for an adult-only home.OTHER DOGS: Yes, I would do well with another dog who likes to run and chase.CATS: Potentially, with a cat confident around dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I would do best with someone who has dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings or environments with tight hallways as I don`t always love when strangers randomly come into my bubble.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!FOSTER ME! Story
Now Accepting Adoption Applications for Kitty Meet Kitty, an approximately 5-year-old Boxer mix who weighs 45 lbs. She is a spayed female, fully vetted, and ready to finally find the loving home she deserves. Kitty is an incredibly social, affectionate, and loyal dog. After being used for breeding and living without a permanent home for the past two years, she is more than ready to settle into life as a cherished family member. She thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Despite her mid-size build, Kitty is a certified lap dog. Whether you’re working from home, relaxing on the couch, or heading to bed, Kitty will be right there. If she wants up, she’ll gently place her paws on your leg to politely ask to lay on your lap. She’s happiest when she’s near you, splooting on the floor next to you or cuddling up any chance she can get. Kitty enjoys the company of other dogs and has played well with them. She would benefit from having another patient, friendly dog in the home who can match her energy and tolerate her playful silliness. She has a lot of enthusiasm for life and loves to stay active. She loves walks and outdoor time, but we do not recommend off-leash activities. Kitty has poor recall and a strong interest in small critters, so a secure leash and fenced area are best. Kitty does have allergies that require ongoing care. She is stable on a strict hypoallergenic diet and receives medication. As long as her food is carefully managed with no cross-contamination, her allergies remain well controlled. Kitty is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and on parasite prevention. Located in Puslinch
Adoption fee: $150 Kitty is ready to give her whole heart to the right home. To apply to adopt Kitty, please fill out the form below. For any inquiries or questions, please email info@dorsetrescuekittens.ca https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DOR/Dog

Story
Buddy is a superactive, playful, and social Labradoodle who thrives on activity and interaction. He loves walks, playing fetch, and splashing in water, his absolute favorite activity. With his lively, outgoing personality and boundless curiosity, Buddy brings excitement and joy to every game, making him a fun-loving, loyal companion for an active family. His daily routine includes waking up around 7-8 a.m., going for a walk and nature call, then enjoying breakfast and relaxation. He spends his day exploring the backyard, having a snack, resting, and winding down after dinner and an evening walk, usually sleeping by 7-8 p.m. Buddy would do best in an active household with a backyard, though he can adapt to other settings with regular morning and evening walks. He's great with both young and older kids, making him a wonderful family companion. He's trained in basic commands, crate-trained, and well-behaved with no separation anxiety.
