KENNEL ID #18804 Meet Pistol, a Golden Retriever and German Shorthair Pointer mix. He will turn 4 years old on April 9th. Pistol is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He weighs about 80 pounds and believes he’s a lap dog! Pistol is housebroken and crate-trained. He gets along well with cats and most other dogs, making him a great companion. As a vigilant watchdog, he has lots of energy and loves to play and run around. His favorite toy is a squeaky chicken, and he enjoys playing fetch. When he’s not active, he loves to relax and receive belly rubs. Although Pistol was raised around children, he has recently become uncomfortable in their presence, and his warning growls can be intimidating for kids. Therefore, his owners are looking for a home without children. Transfer Fee $200 Thank you for your interest in rescue. KENNEL ID #18804 Meet the Cuter Things Litter (Inspired by STRANGER THINGS ) This adorable all-girl litter came to us through no fault of their own. Their owner was arrested, and his girlfriend and the puppies had to move out by December 31st. She was able to find a family member willing to foster the mama dog, but sadly there was nowhere for the puppies to go. Thanks to one of our amazing volunteers, these girls were picked up and brought to safety. When they first arrived, they looked like they’d been battling Demogorgons — but after a much-needed bath, full bellies, and some TLC, they’ve transformed into the happy, playful, very cute puppies they were meant to be. The pup's mom is a Goldendoodle mix and dad is unknown. We don’t know what they’re mixed with, but we do know they’re sweet, resilient, and ready to leave the Upside Down behind for loving forever homes. Story

Rosie is the sweetest girl. Don't let her age fool you, even though she is 8 she acts like she is 2! She would make for a great bird dog if a hunter would take some time to train her, she points at everything and has a high prey drive! She ended up at our adoption center to no fault of her own. Her previous owner said he didn't have time for her and has been keeping her outside in a kennel because he didn't want Rosie to knock over his elderly mother. Rosie does resource guard her favorite bones/toys but does not care when you take her food! After we ran some blood work on her we did find that she has pancreatitis. This just means she needs to be on a low-fat food to prevent her from getting fatty liver disease. Rosie is now spayed, up to date on vaccines and current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Holly is the definition of a cuddle bug! All she ever wants to do is take a light stroll and cuddle on the couch. She can be a little timid of new people but once she knows you, she tends to jump right in your lap to snuggle up. Holly absolutely does not like cats but is okay with most other dogs. Holly was found as a stray, taken to our kennel in Texas and then transported up to our adoption center in Chester County, Pa.
