Pebbles! Pebbles is a 3-4 mth old medium to large breed mix. Lab? Hound? Terrier? Some sort of herding dog? All good guesses and possible options. What we do know, is that regardless of the mix, it makes one heck of an adorable (and mischievious) pup! Pebbles has been described as both a future model based on the way she likes to pose for pictures, as well as the most dramatic of our current fosters. So we assume adopting her will be like living with a teenaged girl. There is lots of angst, but also lots of fun....and we can't deny that her cute face can convince us to make lots of bad decisions. She will happily accept any treats you are willing to share with her. Pebbles is also in a playgroup with several other pups and she loves to romp, boss them around a little and overall keep the chaos meter firmly set at Don't Take Your Eyes Off Me. She is also working to perfect her shoelace untying skills so any future family may want to consider Sketchers Slip Ons for the foreseeable future. Like any young pup Pebbles would benefit from a family willing to keep her both exercised and work with her on training to help her be her best self. Opal! Opal is an approx 3-4 month old small to medium mix puppy who seems to keep growing in length more than height! You know you have a story to tell when your originating vet paperwork has you listed as "Ditch Baby 1"..... Opal and her brother Dash were found as strays in a ditch in the South by a Good Samaritan who then took them to the vet to get checked out and fostered them temporarily until they were able to join us. Opal may be some sort of terrier/dachshund/corgi type mix, all of which of course is a best guess. What we can tell you for certain is she is a fun girl. She enjoys playing with other dogs, although she does seem to enjoy the laps of humans, really any human who has an empty lap, most of all. Like most puppies her age Opal is still learning the ways of the human world. Leashes are still weird but she is getting used to them and while she does a decent job of keeping her crate clean she will need a schedule and continued work on housebreaking. Opal's adoption fee will include her spay, microchipping and age appropriate vaccinations. She is also up to date on preventatives. Interested in adopting Opal? Leo! Meet Leo! This gentleman was found stray by a rescue partner in the South and was missing a few “parts”. He has a docked tail, is now neutered (so missing…well, you know), and Leo has three legs! Yes, Leo is a tripod but is very well acclimated to life with only one rear leg (steps? No problem!). He is estimated to be approximately 5 years old and was listed as an Australian Shepard mix. He arrived a bit thin with some hair loss but his full coat is in now (and he loves baths, so that helped) and we see some possible setter type vibes but who knows?! Leo LOVES people (note capital letters). If you are interested in an aloof dog that likes his own space, this is not your guy. However, if having a close companion that would love to be beside you, often encouraging belly rubs performing a beetle dance, this could be a match. His hobbies include receiving pets, snacks, eating in general, enjoying some outside time, more pets and snacks. Although Leo has had successful meets with other dogs and is not reactive to them on walks, we have found he would thrive best as an only dog in a home and frankly, after what he has likely endured during stray life, we think he deserves all the attention in a home to himself. Leo is a dog desperately excited to have a best friend (think Velcro) and home of his own (he enjoys couches). He is housebroken, although will have some excitement pees if you don't get him out quickly enough upon your return, so we recommend all greetings be done outside, or once he has had a chance to take care of business. Leo is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also heartworm tested negative and up to date on preventatives and wellness visits. Interested in adopting Leo? FUJI!! A SPECIAL PLEA FOR A SPECIAL DOG PLEASE READ FULL BIO BELOW Fuji is a 2-3 yr old medium sized (approx. 45-50 lb) pit mix with the cutest ears and a permanent curious expression on his face. Fuji has a long history with our rescue - he was with us for a long period of time as a younger pup and was adopted into what we hoped was his forever home almost 2 years ago. However as we all know, sometimes life has other plans for us that can completely throw a wrench into things and upend even the best laid plans. So due to the personal circumstances of his owner Fuji is back with us and the hunt for the next chapter in his story. Fuji initially attended a board and train with trainers while with us and has maintained his commands and training. He does best when he has a routine, structure and an outlet for both his physical and mental needs. He is a smart cookie and is always ready to show off all he knows. He knows to sit for his food, wait when you pause at corners and walk well on a leash (but he does sometimes need reminders to mind his manners). He is loyal to his people and is good with other dogs who are a match for him. Fuji did live with another playful medium sized dog and sometimes attends structured daycare to remain socialized. He should not live with cats or young kids. He does have some anxiety, which is well controlled with medication and keeping his life well structured. He would be a great dog for a "dog person" who is patient and enjoys training and working with their dog. He loves things like the flirt pole and would probably rock an agility course or class. Noseworks would probably be right up his alley too. He is crate trained. We are looking to place him into an adult home that is consistent and not super chaotic. We are happy to offer a private training session with his previous trainers as part of his adoption package. We would also be open to a foster or foster to adopt home for Fuji and are willing to offer as much support as we can to ease his transition. It has been sad to see his confusion coming back into our busy adoption center and we want to set him up for success as best as we can. Fuji is a dog with a lot of potential who has just been failed by the world, through no fault of his own nor his former adopters', and we would love to see his luck take a turn for the better. Fuji is up to date on vet care, including vaccinations and microchipping and tested heartworm negative. He is neutered and current on his preventatives. Story

Skye! This little older, approx 8-9 yrs old, lady is Skye. She has clearly spent many years as a breeder dog for a commercial breeding farm. Her body shows some of the wear of having produced many litters, and her shyness shows that humans have likely not spent much time spoiling her, but through it all she is sweet, with never a negative response to anything. It can be heartbreaking to see Skye sit in the corner, hoping to disappear into the background, but at the same time it is so heartwarming to see little signs of her coming out of her shell and show us her personality. She does a happy dance when she sees any dogs and befriends them all. Her little tail wags when she is comfortable and she starts to give small hand licks when you go slow and just sit with her and speak softly. Skye has so much potential and she just needs to find patient and understanding people that will give her more time and encouragement to get settled. Skye absolutely LOVES other dogs and will only be adopted with one of her friends, most notably her daughter Summer would be a great match, or to a home that already has a friendly dog to show Skye the ropes and whose lead she can follow. Skye will need continued work with housebreaking and leash walking, etc. She can move her round body surprisingly quickly when she sees an open gate or door, so any homes should be prepared to be secure and watchful until she is more comfortable. 💉 Adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date preventatives, spay, and microchip.
