Story
Meet Indy! She is a 1year old Staffordshire/Shepherd mix, and is a lean & muscular 45-50lbs. Indy was recently diagnosed with heartworm and needs to undergo treatment, part of which is taking medication to help keep her calm. Indy is hit or miss with other dogs, and was never 100% solid with one of the dogs in the current foster home, and since being on medication she has suddenly stopped getting along with that dog. He is an older dog and Indy is becoming sporadically aggressive with him, while still getting along wonderfully with the other resident dog. Heartworm treatment isn't hard or time-consuming for the foster. She is scheduled for her first injection on July 18th, and will spend the night at the vet, and then a month later she will receive 2 injections on back to back days, also staying over at the vet. During treatment Indy needs to be kept calm. No running, no wrestling/playing with other dogs. When Indy likes a dog, she REALLY likes them, so rather than try to find a foster home with a dog she's going to want to play & run with, we're hoping to find her a dog-free foster home. This eliminates any issues with her possibly not getting along with a dog, or getting along with it too well. Indy loves to run around the large yard at her foster's home, so even though a fenced-in yard is normally a big plus, in this case since Indy isn't allowed to run and needs to remain on leash, a non-fenced yard would be perfectly fine. If the yard is fenced in, she would need to remain on a relatively short tether so she can't run/jump.

Story
Miss Roxie is still looking for her forever home! Please share!! Roxie is a 1 year old Pittie & Catahoula Leopard Mix. Some of her many key features are her floppy ears, her chocolate brown eyes, & her white dipped feet. As a puppy she had a black coat but now her Catahoula colors are coming through as she gets older. An important thing to note about Roxie is that she requires some special care due to having only one kidney. With her prescription diet and a little extra bloodwork, Roxie will live a very happy life. Despite her condition, Roxie is a happy & energetic girl. Some of her favorite activities include learning new puzzle toys and games, getting the zoomies, and playing with her foster siblings. She is shy at first with new people so I believe she will do best with a home with adults and teenagers. Roxie could be happy as an only dog or she would love a big (dog) brother to romp with. A dog sibling her size (55 lbs) or larger would be the best fit. But if she’s the only dog in the home, I know she’d love soaking up the attention. Roxie has had one on one leash walk training and is very enthusiastic to learn. But I know she would thrive in a home with a yard or an active exercise partner for walks/runs. Story
Norman is a 3.5 year old purebred Rottweiler. He is a sweet dog , loves attention. He does have food and treat aggression. We adopted him from Baltimore when he was 1.5 years old. The previous owners allowed him to get bad habits. We corrected most of them. We have cats that he continues to go after even after 2 years of living in the same house. He has potential to be a really great dog for someone to train better equipped than I. I do love him but I feel he would thrive better in a different environment. Hoping to find someone who will take good care of him.

Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS - PLEASE READ FULL BIO* Celyn! Celyn joined us on December 30, 2023, and we were thrilled to ring in the new year with her. We hoped her stay would be short, but sadly, this sweet girl has been waiting almost 9 months for her forever home. Celyn is a unique and special pup—she’s deaf and partially blind, which sadly causes her to be overlooked time and time again. 💔 ✨ Age: 1 year old 🤫 Weight: About 45 lbs—truly the perfect size! 🐶 Breed: Catahoula Mix (or as we like to call her, a Spotted Secret Keeper) 👃 Special Abilities: SUPER Scenter! Celyn can sniff out anything—her favorite volunteers, a meal, or treats on the way. She may not hear with her ears, but she hears with her heart. ❤️ 🏃‍♀️ Dreams: Celyn wants to run track in the 2028 Paralympics! We haven’t told her yet that the Olympics are only for humans. 🤫 ⚡ Activity Level: Pretty high—she loves to run in the play yard and zoom around with her doggy friends. 🧸 Toys: BIG fan! She’s happy tossing toys to herself or playing with friends. 🍖 Treats: Treats are life! 🥾 Love hiking? So does Celyn! Her disabilities don’t slow her down—she enjoys long hikes with her active volunteer buddies. 💬 Need a secret keeper? Celyn’s your girl. She can’t hear your secrets, so she’ll never spill them! 🐱 Cats? She hasn’t been tested, but we’re happy to try if someone applies for her! 🐕 Dogs? Celyn is a social butterfly and loves her dog pals. 👧 Kids? She does amazing at events and loves meeting kids of all ages! She might get a little in your bubble while sniffing everyone out, though. 🏡 Ideal Family? Active, patient, and excited to train a special-needs dog. Even though Celyn is focused on her Olympic dreams, she will need her family to also be willing to train her as well. Deaf dogs are amazing creatures and are easily trained, often with things like hand signals and other training techniques. Obviously even more care than usual should be taken to make sure she does not accidentally get out off leash as she cannot hear you calling her back and can't hear dangers like cars coming. She may also be partially visually impaired. She does so well, it is really hard to tell! For the boring stuff: Celyn is crate trained and has been working hard on her housebreaking. She prefers going potty off-leash and would benefit from having a yard where she can roam and find some privacy for her bathroom breaks. 🚽 We all need a little alone time, right? She’s been sniffing for her forever family for far too long. This sweet girl is ready to find her home and start her journey to the 2028 Olympics in LA. 😉 Celyn's adoption fee includes her spay, age appropriate vaccinations and microchipping. She is up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested in Celyn? Story
Meet Twilight! This gorgeous 3-year-old Husky girl is full of spirit and ready for her next adventure—but this time, with a forever family by her side. Twilight came to us after being surrendered from a mill, where her love of freedom (and impressive ability to hop a barn half-door) proved a little too much for the setup. Classic Husky! Twilight is incredibly friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. She walks nicely on a leash for a Husky—which is to say, she’s doing great, but a no-pull harness and some consistent training will help her shine even more. She’s getting the hang of crate and kennel time and adjusting well to life as a beloved companion. If you’re looking for an affectionate, fun-loving dog with a little mischievous sparkle in her eye, Twilight might just be your perfect match. Twilight is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. Interested in adopting Twilight? Fill out an application at www.dogtownrescue.org. An approved application and appointment are required to meet any of our dogs. Dog Town Rescue 📍 1553 Bethlehem Pike, Hatfield, PA 19440 PA Kennel License #12275

Story
Phoenix! This lovely, squishy medium sized (maybe 55 lbs) girl is around 2-3 years old. She was originally adopted from us as a puppy but returned for not getting along with the other pets in the home. Phoenix should be an only pet in her new home, but is a lovely girl willing to give you all her love. She would benefit from a diet and losing a little weight. She is a great girl who is fully housebroken (but may have a few small accidents as she gets acclimated) and crate trained. She would be fine with older, school aged children.
