Story
Bruno is a very handsome guy who has matured into a hunk of a boy. He's approximately 2 to 2.5 yrs old and is charming. He thrives on lots of exercise, structure, and clear expectations. He would do well with a fairly active adopter with no small children as he can get overstimulated in play with little ones at times. A home with children over 12 who have lived with large, dogs similar to this breed is recommended. Bruno would love a Rottie savvy home who can offer structure and love and fun experiences! He does very well interacting and playing with other dogs, as well as coexisting on group walks. Bruno enjoys physical and mental exercise. He has just completed a training program and is ready to roll! Cats are unknown. Just submit our application on www.kodisclub.org if you'd like to be considered!

Story
AJ is an adorable, petite. 1 year old guy who is very affectionate. He loves attention from his humans and is a loyal companion. While he will whine when not with his family members, he is not destructive, just 'concerned'. He does settle once he has expressed his opinion! AJ is an anxious, timid boy, due to the trauma he suffered that made him homeless. He was found by the police tied to a fence in the middle of the night. He was in good condition so it just didn't make sense. He was taken to the shelter but no one came looking for him. He will need time to decompress in a new home, so patience is an important factor for his anxiety. Once he warms up, and with his humans, he is calm. In the beginning he is 'waiting for the other shoe to drop' because of his past abandonment, but once he realizes he's safe, he adjusts. You couldn't find a sweeter creature than this little guy! AJ loves treats and his favorite snack is a big juicy raw marrow bone. It will keep him busy for hours. The photos are from the shelter, but AJ is now in foster care and is house and crate trained. If you'd like to be considered for him, go to our website at www.kodisclub.org and submit our application. We cannot proceed without that information.

Story
**** COMING SOON **** First of all, can we all agree this guy is a real looker? He's getting stopped in the street, and he seems happy for the compliments, giving kisses to his fan club. Smokey is being fostered in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and he should be ready for his forever home around August 1st . He is about 15 months and is currently 48 pound, housebroken, and is a fairly chill guy - we don't think he was taken on walks - he was surrendered by a backyard breeder whose kids were allergic - but wow, is he loving all the exploring now - super fluffy tail up high, sniffing all the sniffs. And he likes water!! But after the walks, he's totally happy to chill with his foster parents while they work from home. Doesn't seem to have any destructive behavior, and, as he warms up here, he does seem to like toys. He will need some training - so far as we can tell he's had none, but he's an amiable soul and seems like he will be happy to learn. He doesn't pull on a leash, but he does weave erratically back and forth in front of the person walking him, but it should be an easy job to train him to pick a side and hang out on it once he feels comfortable. Smokey is an insecure guy, and will take some patience to help him feel at-home. A house with another youngish dog would be nice - he is clearly paying attention to his foster sisters' every move. No signs of any aggression or resource guarding. A home without young kids would be preferred - he is very goofy and could easily knock down small children - but older kids should be fine. And apparently he did love the little kids in his original home - he lived with a 2-year old and 8-year old. He is a typical Aussie velcro dog, and if you are lonely now, well heck, you won't be once Smokey joins your household!! He sleeps on the floor by the end of the bed, under our desks, and under the dining room table while we eat. Great furry company, this guy!! Smokey will be neutered prior to being adopted out. If Smokey sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There will be a $20 microchip fee which covers the registration and transfer of ownership upon adoption in addition to the adoption fee. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Kenzie is a sweet, affectionate girl who likes short walks and long car rides. She wants to be the center of attention in a low maintenance way . She’s just perfect. Kenzie is housebroken & crate trained. A regal girl who is happy to hang out on the deck on a cool morning or watch a movie with you ( on the coach preferably). Kenzie would prefer to be an only dog to get all your attention but is currently fostered with other dogs. She is comfortable with calm, respectful dogs and her favorite dog in the foster home is a quiet, male Berner. Older children are fine due to her size. Interested? Story
Priscilla is a 3 year old girl on the quiet side, somewhat shy, until she warms up to new humans, but even then, is very respectful for your attention. She enjoys soft petting as she herself is a gentle soul. Priscilla would thrive in a calm environment without a lot of noise and activity. She has only been with her foster for a couple of weeks, so that could change in time. For now she is cautious and avoidant when facing new situations. She prefers to observe for herself before engaging. Priscilla is quite content keeping herself busy, especially with marrow bones, stuffed Kongs, and antlers. She tends to trot around the house until she settles for a nap to recharge her battery. She is both house and crate trained, but does need to go outside every 6 to 8 hours. Priscilla is fostered in a multi-dog house, but only enjoys the company of the quieter dogs who will not demand her participation in racing around or physical play. She is more about peaceful cohabitation. She would also be happy as an only dog. Because Priscilla is a timid girl who likes peace and quiet, she'd do best in an adult only home. Cats are unknown. She is also a major 'foodie' who is never satisfied and needs the most complex slow-feeder we could find. She definitely had to have been starved previously. If you feel you can meet Priscilla's needs and keep her happy, please submit our application at www.kodisclub.org

Story
Zeus is full of personality and playfulness, and puppyish behaviors he's working on we'll describe below. He is like a much younger dog than his shelter paperwork says. While it says 3, we believe he is more between 1 and 2. He was surrendered, along with a female, by a family who was forced to leave their residence. We were only able to take in this love. Zeus adores humans, whether they are his own family or other people he meets. Even the vet and techs! He will never turn down attention or being petted. Zeus is housebroken and the other thing about Zeus is he loves his crate! He will often put himself in his crate with a toy and entertain himself or put himself to bed. His fosters speak about his crate behavior and his playful antics fondly. He is also addicted to peanut butter which makes giving him medication easy peasy Zeus rides well in the car but at times he will react to cars driving by. He barks actively at the window. It's funny because he doesn't do it all the time. On leash, he would love to chase bunnies and squirrels, but is responsive to correction or can be distracted. His foster is using a Freedom Harness on him to control his pace. He currently goes on a 1.5 mile walk twice a day and walked half an hour at night before bedtime. Zeus' puppy behaviors are interest in shredding paper, paper towels, and towels, even as he is sitting with you, but is responsive to correction. Likewise, he is a shoe, slipper, and sock stealer, but gives them up easily. He is just as likely to grab a toy or his stuffed kong, it's more of a "I'm just looking for something to do" kind of thing. His toys should not include those that are stuffed or have squeakers as they will have a short life. Very short life. On the plus side, he has no problem letting you pick up all the pieces of stuffing and fabric he has left in his wake. He loves to play tug with you, and very mindful of your hands. We don't get too crazy, but he puts it right on his foster mom's knee after he wins, and shakes it. He's a happy guy, just needs training in areas we expect in young dogs. He is not at a point in which he can be trusted uncrated when home alone. As for cats, kids, and other dogs. We are saying no cats because of his interest in small creatures. His foster mom said he's obsessed with looking out her sliding door, jumping at it, and kind of whining at 2 feral cats. He is getting better at listening to "leave it " when she chases him away. As for kids, they will need to be at least 12 and 'sturdy'. He is 113 lbs of puppy love and doesn't know his own strength. He still may jump on new people in his excitement to say hello (we are working on this too and it's not all the time), but like with everything else, he listens to correction. With other dogs, definitely no small or even medium sized dogs. He needs big like him lol. He is a strong player and his exuberance often causes him to forget respecting the personal space of other dogs. A large, tolerant, non-reactive female would be best with Zeus. If you have the experience and home that matches this handsome boy's needs, please submit the application on www.kodisclub.org/applications to be considered.
